Chapter Four

I whipped back around the corner and the others looked at me strangely. “It’s D-dawn,” I said to them. None of them made a sound, but Alexis had silently gasped. “I’M SOOO BORED!” Dawn yelled from her cell.

“What do we do?” Husky asked quietly.

“I have a plan,” I whispered to them. After I was done, we leaned back against the wall. I searched my pocket and pulled out a piece of coal. But, it wasn’t just any piece of coal. I threw it down the other hallway where Dawn was. Dawn looked up and immediately crouched, shielding her head. The squids just stared at it. Bats appeared and blew up. The squids were dead and gone. I ran down the hallway and straight to Dawn. I placed a TNT block down and a Redstone torch and ran out of range. Once the dust settled, Dawn ran into my arms. “I missed you,” she whispered. “Me too,” I said back.

“I’m sorry to interrupt, but there are squids coming for us!” Husky yelled. I pulled out my budder sword and held Dawn close. I wasn’t letting her go again. Husky and Kermit stood ready with iron swords. Alexis was ready with her magic’s. The squids came at us, full force. Just before they reached us, an explosion sounded above. “Oh…no,” was all I managed to say before something hit my head from behind and I blacked out.

I regained conciseness and opened my eyes. I scratched my head and sat up. I looked over and saw Dawn. “Dawn!” I yelled her name. She looked up and a smile lit up on her face. She ran to my side and hugged me. I tried to stand up, but a piercing pain with through my right leg, causing me to lie back down. “Be careful, honey,” said to me. “When you blacked out, something crushed you leg. It is just broken, nothing too bad.”

“Did the others escape?” I asked as I looked around the cell. “Yes, but just barely. Alexis help the others with her magic abilities,” Dawn replied. “Why didn’t you go with them?” I asked again.

She simply said, “I didn’t want to leave you again.” I smiled and hugged her. Carefully, I sat back up and Dawn placed a block behind me so I could lean against it. She sat down next to me and I put my arm around her shoulder. She leaned her head on my shoulder. As she quietly fell asleep, I looked down at my leg. It was in a white cast, clearly made by an expert hand.

I thought about the Sky Army and what they would think when I hadn’t come back for a while. Would they wait for me to return? Or would they come after me? So many of my questions couldn’t be answered at the moment. I just hoped Mitch and Jerome would keep them at bay until I returned.

Then, a frightening thought enter my head. What if I never came back? Maybe the squids were so strong, I could never escape. I slightly shock my head, trying not to wake Dawn. No, Sky, don’t think like that. Stay on the positive side.

The rest of the day was spent stuck in the cage with nothing to do. Dawn was asleep most of the time, so I was left with my thoughts, which was quite scary with my imagination. Many random thoughts entered my head, like ‘What would it be to have wings and fly?’ or ‘I wonder how redstone worked?’

Finally, I was tired and could barely keep my eyes open. I let sleep encase me as I fell into my dreams. But, one I remember the most vividly was a nightmare.

Dawn and I had escaped and the squids were defeated. I was alone in the forest. But, then a figure appeared in front of me. His head was down, eyes closed. His head slowly lifted and his eyes opened. Pure white. No, not Herobrine. I turned and ran as fast as I could go. Herobrine smiled behind me. Next, pain came throughout my whole body, causing me to fall to my knees. Herobrine was taking over my body. In the process, my glasses fell to the ground. Finally, there was no pain, only… anger, for everything. My eyes opened and they were pure white.

    I was now Herobrine.

I wake with a start. Dawn was at my side. I was breathing heavily and my hand was where my sword should have been. “Are you OK?” Dawn asked worriedly. I nodded, but on the inside, I was as scared as all get out. I was slightly shaking, but my breathing was beginning to calm. Dawn handed me a cookie and a cooked steak. I ate them and finally felt better. We both looked up when we heard squids coming. They were cheering, most likely because I was finally captured. “We captured Sky!” I heard one yell. I looked down, shame written on my face. Dawn just had a sad expression on her face.

But, they had spoken to soon.

An explosion sounded above us. We looked up and saw… “Jason! Ty!”

Jason had his helmet on and he was flying above the hole he had created. Ty looked over the edge and smiled. His headphones were glowing bright green, showing his happiness. I felt myself begin to float towards the hole in the ceiling. As Dawn and I landed above the cell we were in, I saw Seto levitating high in the air. Then, they saw my leg and realized that I couldn’t run. Seto lifted me off the ground again. We followed Jason, hoping that he knew where he was going. Ty and Dawn were running side by side on the ground and Seto and I were flying above them. After about an hour, the squids gave up the chase. We made our way back to my Budder Kingdom. I was ready to see all my recruits again.

When we finally made it back to our base, Mitch and Jerome came running over to us with Husky and Kermit on their heels. Alexis came over to her father and hugged him. Seto lightly set me down on the ground as more and more people gathered around me. He landed by me and examined my leg. He looked up and spoke to me. “Your leg isn’t hurt that badly, just a small fracture. With the proper care, it shoulder heal in about two months.”

“I guess I don’t have a choice. Go ahead, work your magic,” I said to him. I liked saying that to him because he could laterally work his magic and every time I said that, it made him smile.

This sure was going to be a long two months.
