Chapter Five
*Two Months Later*
I stood up and stretched for the first time in two months. That was the most boring thing that happened to me ever! Note to self, don’t ever break your leg again. As I began to walk over to the door, I tripped over my feet and almost landed face first into the ground. Dawn grabbed my arm and pulled me back up. I smiled at her and she smiled back. As we made our way outside, I could feel my leg getting accustom to walking again.
The outside world greeted us, including Mitch, Jerome, Husky, Seto, Alexis, Jason, and Ty. When they saw me, smiles lit up on each and every one of their faces. Alexis and Seto were over them, levitating as they always did. A raven landed on Alexis’ shoulder. His name was Ender since he was pure black like the Ender Dragon. And, what made him even scarier then he already was, his eyes were purple. When I first saw him, I was convinced he was an Enderman in disguise, but more… feathery? The raven smiled at me and I felt a chill go down my spine. I just didn’t trust that bird.
“Look whose all better,” Alexis said. I smiled and shook my head. I looked at them again. They were my family, every last one of them. Then, my face was washed of all color. My family… I haven’t thought about them in years…
“You alright, biggums?” I heard Mitch ask. I shook my head again and said, “Yeah. I could never have recovered without all of your help.” Their smiles widened.
“Come on, honey. Your army wants to see you too,” Dawn said to me. I nodded and waved good bye to my friends.
I arrived to the Courtyard and saw all of my recruits waiting for me. I still had a small limp as I walked up to my budder podium. “Hello recruits!” I yelled over the crowd. They all cheered, happy to see their leader was good as new. “I know that all of you guys have been worried about me, but no need to worry! Those dumb squids could ever kill the Budder King!” I said. They cheered again, now chanting, “Budder King! Budder King!” I smiled at all of Sky Army.
Little did I know, in a tall tree in the forest, a figure stood watching me. There was a squid standing on each side of the stranger. A raven with purple eyes landed on his shoulder. “What do we do now, Sir?” a squid asked.
“We wait for him to get weaker,” he replied simply. His glowing white eyes looked over my kingdom as he smiled evilly. “He won’t be the Budder King for long.” His maniacal laugh was all that was left of him as he disappeared in the morning light.
