Same PoV
I tiptoed down the corridor. I didn't know why, it just seemed the right thing to do. On the way, I noticed a photograph on the wall- the same photograph that I used to have, of all of us having a souvenir photograph before I went to find lucarionite. Now that photo is a pile of ash at the bottom of the fireplace. It's still there. I'd never lit that fireplace since.
Don't think about it. My body warned. It had always been a dangerous area of my mind, that had, a sort of out-of-bounds, haunted house sort of place. Like the cave we got separated in. But this time I felt like I had to go in.
He might not have known then, but I had always known. It wasn't really clear at the time, and I hadn't admitted it to myself. I remembered the night where we were separated, when Lucario was left with Ash, and me and him with Pikachu.
I woke up, and he woke up just for me. I don't exactly know how it happened. It was like my heart was telling me to do it. I just wish I could've done something sooner to tell him.
I opened the door, and walked in.
It was a brightly lit room with sofas that doubled as chests (and one of them led to the secret rooms), a table that they stored usbs inside, a television which he told me was also a video telephone, and two people sitting with their phones.
"Hi, Korrina." said Bonnie, rapidly typing on her phone.
"Dede nene!" yelled dedenne.
"How come you have a phone, Bonnie?" I asked.
"Everyone does. They're extra thin so you can slip them in along with your identification passes, but it's not for phoning. Sure it can text, but it's more for tracking other members and recording proof about Team Forever. We actually use watches to phone."
"Bonnie, who's that?" said the other person. Darn, i thought. I'd forgotten about her.
"Oh, that's Korrina. She was a gym leader, but she's now a runaway. Clemont's spent ages trying to track you down, Korrina. He said something about the streets not being safe for you. And that's Iris, Korrina. She travelled with Ash before, in Unova."
"Uhh...ok." I managed to say. "Hi, Iris." Iris was a little shorter than me, and had a lot of wild purple hair that was a lot thicker than mine but just as long.
"Hi!" said Iris brightly. "Also, meet Axew."
"Axew ew!" said little Axew. Funnily enough, I knew this little pokemon, it was on one of those photographs and I'd looked up the haxorus evolutionary line after a challenger used one in a gym battle.
"They didn't take him away?" I asked. I had to hide Lucario so that they wouldn't find him; I'd tucked his pokeball inside a wall. They took all the others though.
"Nope!" replied Bonnie cheerfully. "Axew's just as safe as Dedenne and the rest of us!
"...Which means not very safe." said someone, walking in. It was a girl with pale blue eyes and golden-brown/honey-blonde hair, a pink dress and a pink hat.
"Hi, Serena." I said, fingering my hair. It looked a mess, all covered in dirt, like my face, my clothes, my rollerblades, if I still had them. You could say I was a mess. "You sure look clean." The girl's face, hair, clothes all had a glossiness to it, like in a photograph. "I really need a bath."
"You're going to be needing a lot more than a bath when you here this." Serena said grimly. "Clemont's been captured, and he's probably been killed."
