Draco's pov:

A week had passed sense things one and two came by. Hermione was in a bad mood the rest of the day. I ended up asking her on a proper date. She happily accepted.

I was getting ready in my room. I was going to take Hermione on a simple date, knowing that she didn't like anything to fancy. My hair was falling in a stringy but managed way and my clothes were just some muggles clothes she had bought for me a few weeks prior. A simple black shirt under a Slytherin green jacket and some army green pants, being my outfit.

I walked out of my room and stood in the living room, waiting for Hermione to join me. When she did, I couldn't help the smile that found it's way to my face. "You look, stunning." She was wearing a simple maroon dress that went just below her knees, a tan, braided leather belt around her waist, and pair of wedge heals.

"Thank you. You look very handsome yourself." She said with a sweet smile as she kissed my cheek. "You ready to go?"

"As I'll ever be. Although I wonder what I did in my life to deserve you." I wrapped my arms around her waist and rested my forehead on hers, looking into her golden-brown eyes.

"I often find myself wondering the same thing. But for now, we have to go." She kissed the end of my nose and tried to take a step back but I pulled her closer, burying my face in her neck.

"Can't we just stay in and cuddle? That sounds like so much more fun then other people looking at you and thinking lustful thoughts. I don't like knowing that other men hunger for you."

She ran her fingers through my hair with a giggle. "You promised me a real date. And just ignore the other guys. I don't want them. I want you." I lifted my head to look at her.

"I still don't like it. But I did promised you a real date." I pulled back slowly, immediately missing how she felt in my arms. I held my hand out for her and she took it with a smile. We made our way to a small coffee shop, on a muggle street, in London. We each got a quick drink and made our way to a small park. "Hermione, I've been meaning to ask you something for a while now. Why, do you like me? I mean I basically tortured you for 7 years. If I were you, I wouldn't like me." I said as we reached a bench and sat down.

"I've always thought you were handsome, sure you were mean to me but you were just a child. As we got older, I realized that you didn't want to be what everyone expected of you. You were struggling and would lash out in the most familiar way you knew. When we were brought to your manner, and you father asked if we were, well us, you didn't say anything. And that's when I knew you were a good guy. And I know you would never cheat on me, so that's a plus." She said while looking at the sky.

"Of course I wouldn't. You're my whole world. Who in their right mind would cheat on you?" I looked at her only to see a tear slide down her cheek as she looked at the ground.

"Ronald, for starters. After I had told him I was pregnant no less. Sure it wasn't his but he said he didn't care."

"You were pregnant? What happened? And I am so going to kill that git next time I see him."

"I had a miscarriage the night I found him cheating on me. His mother took me to the hospital."

"Who's was it?" She looked up at me with a pained expression and I knew.

"I don't know. I do know it was one of the death eaters from that night. Please don't blame yourself for this, Draco. You couldn't have done anything without endangering yourself." She cupped my cheek and I reached up to hold her hand there.

"If I could go back to that day, I would make sure none of that had happened to you."

"And if you did, I wouldn't be here with you now. Believe it or not, I'm glad everything worked out the way it did. I like that it brought me here to you." She smiled at me and pressed our foreheads together. "Do you wanna go home and cuddle now?" She asked.

I smiled at he and got up. She giggled as I picked her up in my arms bridal style. "That's all I ever want, but I promised you a real date. So how about some ice cream?" She giggled again as her arms wrapped around my neck.

"As much as I love this, Draco, put me down. I can walk on my own." Her eyes sparkled as she looked back at me.

"Ummm... No. I like you in my arms. Then I know you can't walk away. Besides, when we're like this, other men know you're mine." I smirked at her and she rolled her eyes.

"Ok ok, let's get ice cream. But then I want to go home and cuddle with you." I just laughed and nodded.

We went back to the house after our date was over. Hermione led me back to her room and changed into some more comfortable clothes, before laying in her bed. As she was changing, I looked away, not wanting to be rude. Sure we were going out, but I still wanted to respect her privacy. When I heard the blankets move, I turned back around.

"Are you coming?" She asked as she held up her arms. I slipped my shoes off and climbed in next to her. She curled up next to me and rested her head on my chest. I smiled, kissed her forehead and wrapped my arms around her. We just stayed like that, me running my fingers through her hair, until we fell asleep.

We woke up at the same time to someone yelling. "What the bloody hell?!" It was Ron. He looked angry and I could see his face was bright red in the now dark room.

"What's going on?" Hermione said in her still half asleep state.

"Nothing love, just go back to sleep. I'll be right back." I said as I stood up. She whimpered slightly at the loss of my body before falling back asleep. I grabbed ahold of Ron's arm and drug him out, into the living room. "Why are you here?" I shot at him as soon as we were out.

"I want you to stay away from my 'Mione!" He practically yelled.

"First off, don't call her that. She isn't your anything. You lost that right after you cheated on her. Second, I should kill you where you stand. Be lucky I haven't even called the police yet. You just broke into a woman's home."

"I'll leave when you promise to stay away from her! She will never love you! Not like she loves me! So just leave!"

"That's where you're wrong. I love her enough for the both of us. More than you ever did and more than she ever loved you. I treat her right, and I won't promise anything because I don't have to!"

The door to Hermione's bedroom opened and she stepped out looking really tired. "What's going on? Why are you shouting?" She asked before yawning.

I walked up to her and pushed a strand of hair out of her face. "Nothing love. Just go back to bed. I'll join you in a moment. I just have to take out the trash." I threw a glare at Ron over my shoulder.

"It's not nothing! Hermione, I demand you take me back and throw Draco out on his ars!" Ron shouted.

"Excuse me?! I don't think you are in any position to be making demands, Ronald! Get the bloody hell out of my house!" She drew her wand and pointed it Ron's face, fully awake by now.

"Admit that you still love me!" His voice was louder than before and he looked determined.

There was a knock on the door and I opened it to see Harry standing there. "Where is he?" He looked tired. I led him into the living room and showed him the now on his knees Ron in front of a furious Hermione. "Damn it Ron. Get up. I'm taking you to your mother's house where she will, hopefully, knock some sense into you." He said as he grabbed Ron's arm. Then they were gone.

"I'm sorry." Hermione whispered in a defeated voice. "You shouldn't have to deal with this." She had lowered her wand, her arms dangled by her side.

I walked up to her and pulled her into a loving hug. "I don't mind it so long as I have you in with me. I love you enough to not care about Ron stealing you away from me." She looked up at me shocked, before I could register what I had said. "I-i mean... Well... Um you see."

"I love you too, Draco." She kissed me softly before I could say anything. I kissed back, pressing her against me harder. When we finally stopped, we didn't pull away completely. I rested my forehead against hers and smiled at her.

"I...love...you...too." I pecked her lips between each word, causing her to giggle.

"Can we go back to sleep now? Please?" I smiled more and picked her up, carrying her to the bed. She let out a giggle. I layed her down gently and crawled in next to her. We layed in each others arms for the remainder of the night, before falling asleep together. Both whispering a quiet "I love you" Before completely closing our eyes and drifting off.
