Chapter 7

The first day at the university had gone far better than you expected; after Mr Park's class, Sira and her friends had accompanied you all day and even invited you for coffee afterwards.

They were all so warm and welcoming, and they told you about everything related to the university, from the facilities themselves to the peculiar professors and the most famous groups or people on campus. Even the many group chats students had on social media, the most interesting one being the chat with Jimin's ex-students and current ones.

"We can add you to the chat, Y/N. You can find everything you need to know there." Sira pulled out her phone, eager to get your username, but you just looked at her, as you didn't have any social media accounts yet in this reality.

"Yes, you should get in there. You will get to find the code words too. It's all pinned." Yuki encouraged you further, and you just looked at her with an awkward smile before one more girl who was with you chimed in.

"There are even pictures of Mr Park from older days; generation after generation of students have really done a great job at archiving pics of him." The whole table started giggling and fangirling at the mention of those pictures, making you suddenly feel like you were unable to relate.

Dayam, in the book, it was mentioned that there was a chat with students who loved/hated him, but I didn't know it went that far back.

"Oh well, I would love to, but I don't think I want to be part of that...like he is our professor. Don't you think it's a bit inappropriate?" You uttered words that you knew would ruin the mood, but it was a good excuse not to give them your social media handle, and it was also true. This did feel inappropriate, treating him like some kind of celebrity behind his back and fangirling over his pictures. It seemed a bit too much, rationally, to you.

Certainly, he was good-looking, and his aura was dynamic, and you won't argue that any student could have a right to consider him a bit of eye candy, as one could say, but that didn't mean you had to play along with that, either.

"Oh, well, of course, to a newcomer it must sound strange, but it's nothing weird, really," Sira reassured you as she didn't hesitate to turn the phone's screen towards you, to let you see the chat.

"It's mostly students warning each other about Mr Park's mood, and complaining after his classes. Mostly like an emotional support activity." She clarified as she scrolled slowly for you to read some of the content for yourself.

"Okay, after today I understand well why one would need a whole group chat just to complain about him." You admitted matter-of-factly as you two wanted to do just that after the situation he put you in, despite knowing that you were unprepared and didn't even know the subject well.

"Exactly, and previous students have created the codes to alarm each other quickly," Yuki added. Then she grabbed Sira's phone and took it to the rules and regulations page, where the codes were listed.

"Red alarm means he changed his hair color. Black alarm means he is in a bad mood. Orange alarm is for minor changes, like a new suit or accessories.  Yellow alarm sounds not important, but it's basically when he seems happy for no reason, and that shit can be scary af. You never know what it can turn into." Sira summed them up, and the girls around seemed to shiver at the thought of the last one.

"That sounds like yellow and black alarms are the most fearful ones. Why is changing a hair color or a suit such a big deal that it needs an alarm, though?" You couldn't help but ask, even though you knew well why, but there was a part of you that was enjoying playing clueless and watching them fangirl over him, even if you weren't planning to participate in that.

"Are you kidding me? Girl, when he changed his jet-black hair to ash silver, people had literally fainted." A girl with blonde hair standing to your right brought up the iconic moment, and the table started buzzing again with talk and sighs and conversation over how good it looked.

You kept smiling as you were listening to them; the attention was finally away from you or your social media, and the more they were talking about Mr Park, the more you started feeling a sense of pride, just as a writer would feel hearing that their character really had emotional impact on people.

I should deliberately make him dress hotter. It's fun seeing them lose their minds.

A jittering feeling bubbled inside you at the thought, feeling you with excitement only at the thought.

They were all so joyous just talking about him, and you found yourself having fun among them to the point that you didn't even notice how much time had passed. Only when you all were finally leaving the cafe, and Sira turned and offered you a ride home, you realized that it was already nighttime.

"You have a car?" You bought yourself some time, as her question made you realize that you didn't know how to get to Jimin's mansion without Jimin. But even if you knew the address, you couldn't just blurt that out to her either.

"No, silly, Yuki does. She will be driving me home too, so you could come with us, and we will drop you off at your place. Come on." Sira smiled at you as she linked arms with you and started dragging you along towards the place Yuki's car was parked.

Before you could say much or claim that you would be taking the public trasport or something, Yuki had already turned on the engine and was driving away, making your claim of taking public trasport that followed after, to sound to them like you were trying to be nice and not be a bother, so they declined it and reassured you it wasn't a big deal to drive you at your place.

"So, what's the address, Y/N?" Sira turned to look at you in the back seat while she was in the passenger seat, and you gulped nervously under her gaze, trying to think of what to say. After a few awkward moments of silence, however, thankfully an address came to mind, and you blurted it out.

It was Jungkook's address, which you had happened to recall from last night, when you had followed him there with Jimin.

"Oh, that's on our way already. Great, we will be there in about 15 minutes or so." Yuki informed you as Sira put the address on the GPS and it showed the route, and you just thanked them with a smile before grabbing your phone and texting Jimin.

"Come get me at the building we were at last night. I don't know how to get to your mansion from here!"

You noticed that he read your text fairly quickly, as if he already had his phone at hand, and a reply didn't take long to flash on your screen.

"Why the heck did you leave the campus without informing me, in the first place?"

"I was busy socializing. I am working here, and you know it! So come get me!"

You texted back, slightly annoyed with his attitude, only to see that you actually had some notifications you had not noticed: missed calls from him.

Damn it, the phone was on mute. No wonder he sounded snappy.

You lay back on the seat with a thud, understanding that he had a point in being annoyed, but you had gotten carried away with the girls and hadn't even looked in your bag for the phone.

"Here we are." Yuki's voice brought you back from your thoughts as she parked at the side of the road, and Sira turned to face you again with a huge smile.

"We will see you tomorrow, Y/N. I hope we were able to make your first day at our university not so scary." You couldn't help but smile back at her as you grabbed your bag and opened the car door, finding her really sweet that she had tried so much to make a literal stranger feel welcome and less alone, and had even dragged her other friend into this.

"It was the best day of my life, undoubtedly. Get home safe." You replied before stepping out and closing the door, then waving at them as you saw Sira popping her head out the window to wave at you, still smiling.

"That woman is way too energetic at times. I am jealous." You uttered once they were out of sight and turned around to observe the building.

"Oh my god, it's you again." Jungkook's voice suddenly reached your ears and made you snap to look to your right, only to witness him at some feet' distance, phone in hand and a supermarket bag in the other, making it clear that he must have gone to grab something nearby for himself and was returning to his apartment.

"The crazy girl from yesterday. I will call the police." He stated, making you panic and rush towards him, snatching his phone from his hand.

"Wait, wait, wait! Why call the police?! I didn't do anything!" You argued with him, and he tried to snatch his phone back, but you stepped away quickly.

"Yah, do you think I am stupid? You burst into my house for no reason, and now you are here again. Give me my phone back!" He demanded as he closed the distance again, but you kept walking backwards while trying to explain yourself to him.

"No, I swear, you got it all wrong. I am not here to bother you; I was just...passing."

"Passing? Yeah right. Admit it, this is just your way of trying to get my attention. I know I am handsome and all, but I don't like crazy girls." Jungkook stated as he threw away the bag he was carrying near the grass and used his fast reflexes to grab your wrist and snatch his phone back.

"Stalking is wrong, young lady." He added once he had his phone back and went to dial the police, only for you to grab his hand and cover the screen with your palm in the process.

"Hey! I told you it's not like that! Why the heck would I stalk you? You ain't even that handsome!" You argued as you started a small push-and-pull in the middle of the pavement right before the entrance to his building, over his phone.

"If it's not that, then what were you trying to do, barging into my apartment? Did you steal something I didn't notice?" He threw another accusation that had you gasp before you used your whole body to pull on his hand, but he still seemed to be stronger and was holding his ground.

"Let go of that damn phone; I didn't steal anything! I am not a thief!"

"You are trying to steal my phone right now; what do you mean?" He protested, right before he started looking around and yelling at strangers to call the police for him.

"Excuse me, she is trying to rob me! Call the police!" He insisted, making you let go of his phone and throw your hand over his mouth to shut him up.

"Shut up! I won't end up in the police station because you are stupid!" You glared at him, feeling desperate because if you were to end up in a police station, it would really be troublesome cause you didn't even have any identification in this universe.

"This is harassment!" Jungkook yelled as he placed his phone in his pocket and freed his hands enough to grab yours and get his mouth free.

"It is not! I am just trying to explain!" You argued as he now held your hands tightly in his grip.

"Okay, explain till the police arrive. I am sure someone must have called them already." He gave you a chance, and you opened your mouth to say something but hesitated because you didn't know what to say.

"I knew it. You are just a stalker, aren't you?" He asked again, and you let out a deep sigh while rolling your eyes at him.

"I am not! I just came to your house because...because I used to live there before. Yes, that's it."

"Liar, you claimed that you were looking for someone who used to live there yesterday, and now you say you were living there. Just admit you are obsessed with me or something and go." Jungkook didn't buy your excuse, even though it was partially true, and he didn't let you go, despite the fact that he urged you to leave.

"You are so full of yourself. Fine, I will tell you the truth. Just let go of me first." you decided to buy some time for yourself and he just looked at you suspisciouly, contenmpating if you wwr e palning to run away after he was to let go or not, but ultimate he did loosen his grip on your wrists and set your hands free.

You didn't bother to run, as you knew well that he was a fast runner and you wouldn't stand a chance. So instead, you decided to use this opportunity to get him on your side.

"I am psychic. I am not a stalker. I just saw a vision about that specific apartment, and I know everything about you, and my...my spirit guide brought me here cause you are going to need me to achieve something you really want in your life." You uttered the biggest nonsense you had ever thought of in your life, already expecting that he was not gonna buy that, and by the way his expression changed, it was clear he didn't.

"Do I look like an idiot to you?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow, finding your audacity to lie beyond laughable.

"I will not reply to that cause I really don't want to end up at the police station." You forced a smile as you looked at him, then down at your wrists, which you held a bit, for they were hurting slightly. " But I can prove that I am telling the truth."

"Oh really? How, Miss Scammer?" Jungkook reached into his pocket again to retrieve his phone, not expecting to hear anything that would convince him of this nonsense, but the words that left your mouth right after had him freeze midair.

"I could simply tell you that I know that you are in love with your best friend Min Areum and that your father is a Mafia boss." The way his gaze landed on you in a snap had you smile again at him, this time in satisfaction. "No one else knows these things, but even if they know about your father, no one would know about your feelings for Areum, for you had not yet dared to admit that well enough to yourself, so you know I am legit." You backed yourself up well, and he just stood there looking as if he had seen a ghost for some good minutes.

"What the heck?" Jungkook finally exhaled as his hand fell loose by the side of his body, his eyes still searching yours as if you were some unreal entity or something.

"I know it can be a bit shocking, but yeah. I am just trying to help you." You emphasized as you took some steps back. "But since you don't want my help and you don't believe me, I can just go." You stated, then turned around, taking some steps before you heard him say, "Wait".

"You aren't going anywhere after saying that." He stated right before he grabbed your wrist and started pulling you towards the apartment entrance. "Let's go upstairs and discuss this properly. In private."

"What? Wait, I would love to, but I can't right now. I am waiting for someone to get me home." You informed him as you stopped on your tracks, making him turn back and look at you with a rather intense and serious stare.

"Let me make this clear to you, Miss. You won't be going anywhere until you tell me everything you know and how you know. Got it!" Jungkook's hold around your wrist grew tighter as he spoke, and you just pursed your lips, understanding well that you had just gotten yourself in more trouble, and now you had to spend God knows how many hours trying to make this whole Psychic thing sound believable to him.
