Of course I go back and forth every now and then. I have to visit and get to know them all. The new generations that is, especially when they learn about me. The only born killer breed of the time. Yes it is true it gets easier over time. Yes my mark has faded more than I'd appreciate it to. I keep lighting it with my stele to keep it decent. I don't like it fading and I doubt anyone else would either. Sometimes I wonder where Jesse went after he died. Sometimes I get overly emotional about his death. Mainly on the day of his anniversary, his long ago passing time.

I was brought into Idris for a special reason. There has been many small fights relating to laws. The clave has never been fond of the downworlders. Me being part of them didn't phase them. Although the others who weren't part shadowhunter. They had problems with meaning we needed a change. Today was a day of change so the clave has said.

The clave often says things that they don't entirely mean. Or there is an alternate meaning behind what they tell you. Yes I have declared my devotion to them and the shadow world. That doesn't mean I always agree with their laws and doings. Today is the first accords that have been written out. All downworlders are required to sign it as are Shadowhunters.

Yes it's a tedious process and will be reviewed ever fifteen years. They're is only one entrance for the downworlders. Me since I have shadowhunter blood I can use my own portal. Yes part of the laws are that your not supposed to create any portal other than the one opened. I have no care for it as my father was the first shadowhunter. My father was Jonathan shadowhunter after all.

Means I have rights over certain people and things. Of course I'd be forever to sign the stupid accords. Yes I do mind for versions reasons, but clave always win. Doesn't matter my last name I wasn't apart of the clave. The clave even had thoughts on me alone. I was part downworlder after all even if we have no idea how.

I had been told my help was needed for something. Not that I was much a fan of being summoned places. I had no choice because the topic interested me. I found the proposal I had been given very clever.

"Henry nice to see you" I say walking into the institute

"Miss Shadowhunter it's a pleasure to finally meet you" he says

"I liked the fire message, you had ideas on creating something" I say

"A form of transportation that is faster and easier" Henry says

"Okay and what does this entail?" I ask

"It will be called the portal and I need a warlocks help" he say

"Such as me and my warlock abilities" I say

"Yes and I've got a mapped out idea and i myself don't have true magic so I wanted to get your input to see what I'm missing" he says

"Let's take a look shall we" i say

He shows me his blueprints and we get talking. It takes a long time to go through things. Making test runs and doing all different things. After a good week we had finally put something together. It wasn't 100% accurate at the moment but it was something. By the end of the month we had successfully created the first portal.

"We did it" he says shocked

"You doubted me that much Branwell?" I ask offended

"Not at all I doubted myself" he says

"Oh Marcus don't flatter me" I said sarcastically

It's been a long couple of centuries I can't lie about that. It's hard when you don't have someone to love. I've let a few people into my life. I've come close to a few people here in this generation. I hate to watch them die like I've always done. It's facilitating to see the mundanes run around. I don't hate them as much as I used to.

They still irritate me more than anything or anyone. I've grown used to or accustomed to them I could say. I live in New York now and work at that institute. Suddenly the joking dropped when I got a fire letter.

"What does it say?" Marcus asked nosily

"Your always noisy Marcus" I said rolling my eyes

Dear Miss Shadowhunter,
We have invited you to join the court of the clave. We've been watching over the centuries and think it best. Please go to the rector hall as soon as possible. It is very much in your interest to join us.
