Chapter 7

Hey everyone. Sry I have been gone for a long time. A lot of crazy stuff has been happening, so I've been busy. But here you go! (RainbowDrawz, you're going to LOVE this chapter :D)

"Socks, please don't die." he heard someone whisper. He wasn't sure of what happened. His eyes fluttered open, and he was tackled by Nadwe in a hug. "I'm sorry!" Nadwe yelled, tears streaming down his face. Socks was confused and dazed. "What happened? Where am I" Socks asked. "I lost control and I bit you on the shoulder, and when Meme tried to stop me, I kicked him in the chest, and I had pretty much sucked half your blood out when L4FF came in and pulled me away from you." Nadwe explained, his voice choking up in some places. Socks was trying to process all this. Nadwe's eyes were red from crying. "Hey, I'm alive. And not a vampire." Socks said. Nadwe nodded. "Listen, everything is fine. We'll figure this out, but it may take time." Socks said. Nadwe nodded. Socks pulled Nadwe into a hug. "It's okay. You're okay." Socks said. Nadwe calmed down, but tears still fell from his face. L4FF was standing in the corner of Socks's room. He seemed to be thinking hard, when he opened his eyes and saw that Socks was awake. "How you feeling?" he asked. "Drowsy." Socks said. He noticed an IV was connected to his arm, giving him the blood he lost. "How did you know? That Nadwe lost control?" Socks asked. L4FF rubbed his neck, not sure how to answer. "Um...I can sorta sense when a vampire is near, and how powerful they are, and when he lost control...I could probably sense him fifty miles away. I had to take control of Laff quickly, and ran into here, and pulled Nadwe off of you. Knocked him out, then looked at you. You weren't in the best shape. Meme was having a hard time breathing, so I was unsure of what to do, when Dino came in. At first, he thought I did all this and was going to fight me, but then Laff managed to talk to him telepathically, and explained what was going on. He agreed to help me, and now we're here." Socks shivered, suddenly cold. Nadwe grabbed a blanket and gave it to Socks. "Thanks Nadwe." Socks said. Nadwe smiled a little. Dino came in through the door just then. "Oh thank God." he said, sighing with relief. "Hey Dino." Socks said. "Meme's doing better, just needs some rest. The IV seems to be helping. How you feeling?" Dino asked. "Tired." Socks sighed, sinking into his pillows. Dino chuckled. "Yeah, but you'll be out of bed in a few days. Make sure that your blood flow is doing fine." Dino looked at the IV, and then sighed. "I'm going to one of the other worlds to see if they have any more IV's. We need a lot more now." "Where are you going?" Nadwe asked. Dino gave Nadwe a sideways glance. "I'm going to Aph and her friends." Dino said. Nadwe remembered Zane, his friend. "Could I...could I come? I should do it now rather than surprise them all later." Nadwe asked. Dino looked at Nadwe. He could tell that Nadwe really wanted to go. "You know what? Why not." Dino said. Nadwe's face brightened. "Let Meme know where you're going so we don't give him a heart attack." Socks said. Nadwe nodded, and transformed into a bat and flew out the window. "That should take his mind off everything." L4FF said. "Yeah. He needs a break." Socks sighed. "I'm going to leave now. Already told Laff everything, so you should be good." He closed his eyes, and the metal faded. Laff opened his eyes, and shivered. "Why is it so cold here?" he asked. "Take a blanket if you want, I got plenty." Socks said. Laff grabbed one and put it around his shoulders. He sat on the bed with Socks. "L4FF told you everything I hope." Socks said. "Yeah, he did. When he took control I was confused, so I tried to stop him, but then he told me that something was wrong with Nadwe, and I just waited, hoping that a good outcome would come. He later told me everything. I...I'm glad he took control that time. You would probably be dead if he didn't step in." Laff said. "Yeah." Socks said. Sleepiness began to set into him. Laff chuckled. "I'll let you sleep. I'm going to find out why it's so cold in here." Laff said. Socks didn't respond, already asleep. Laff was going to get up when he looked at Socks. His lips were purple, and his breath came out white. "What?" Laff said. He looked around the room, but everything was normal. Laff checked Socks' temperature, and to his horror, it was freezing cold. Laff grabbed more blankets and put them on Socks, keeping him as warm as possible. "Any ideas?" "No idea, but I can't help you in here, I'll freeze up." That wasn't good. Laff ran out of the room, looking for TBH and Oof. He found Oof in his room, reading. "Oof, I need you, something weird is going on." Laff said. Oof put the book in his pocket, and went with Laff. They ran into TBH, who was back from training. "TBH, we need you." Laff said. TBH joined them, and they went into Socks's room. "Dude, it's freezing in here!" TBH shivered. "And Socks may get hypothermia." Laff said. TBH looked at Socks, who was barely breathing. TBH went up to him, and felt his temperature. "Holy shit, he's cold as ice." TBH said. Oof was puzzled at this. "It's well insulated, but I don't understand why it got cold suddenly." Laff shivered, the room getting colder. TBH sat next to Socks, trying to warm him. "Can you stop the cold?" Laff asked Oof. "Laff, this isn't natural cold, someone is making this room cold." Oof explained. Laff was baffled. It wasn't natural cold? "Wait." Laff said. He thought about it for a second. "It's Seth. He's doing magic that's making the room cold." "Seth? I thought it was Sonja who could do magic." TBH said. "They both can do magic, it's just that Sonja is more skilled at it. Also, she's on our side now, why would she do this?" Laff explained. TBH looked at Socks, who was still at a dangerously cold body temperature. "He needs to get out of here." TBH said. "Guys?" Oof said. They looked to where he was looking, and saw ice starting to grow on the walls. "All the water in here, all of it...it's turning to ice." Oof said. "We need to get him out." TBH said. TBH grabbed Socks back, and Laff grabbed his legs. Oof grabbed the IV, and they carried him out of the room, and brought him to the closest room, which was TBH's. They placed him on the bed, and covered him in blankets. Oof started to prevent ice and cold from getting into the room, by letting his ability create a shield that prevented any cold from entering. But that meant he couldn't use his. He sighed, glad that the shield was working. TBH was still trying to raise Socks body temperature, unsure of what would happen. Someone knocked on the door, and Oof peeked outside. "Where's Socks?" Dino asked. "Um...the room started to create ice and was below freezing, so we moved him in here," he explained. Dino sighed. "We're trying to warm him up." Oof said. "Okay. Just needed to know where he went." Dino said. Dino left, and Oof closed the door. "Mmm." Socks groaned. "Easy mate." Laff said. Socks was starting to wake up. "Wha...wha...what happ...happened." Socks shivered. "You barely escaped hypothermia." TBH said. Socks was shivering a lot. He never felt so cold in his life. "Just rest." Laff said. Socks nodded. He felt the blankets warming him up, and TBH helping him warm up faster. "I'm going to find Zack or Natalie, and I'm going to pay a visit to Seth." Laff said, his voice dangerous. "Hit him fo...for me please." Socks sighed. Laff nodded, and got up and left the room. Oof pulled his book out, and began to read it. "What's that?" TBH asked. "Oh, it's just a book talking about power hosts." Oof said. He handed the book to him, and TBH looked at it. It had an interesting cover, swirled in different colors with different designs. "Lend me this when you're done." TBH said. Oof nodded, and took the book back and began to read again. TBH looked back at Socks, and was glad to see that his lips were no longer purple, and he was breathing better. "How you doing Socks?" TBH asked. "A lot better." Socks sighed, and went back to sleep. "Um, TB? Just saying, but, I don't exactly want to leave yet." Oof said. "Why?" TBH asked. "Well...I figured out how to make a shield that doesn't allow any cold into here and sorta mutes any cold in here, but that means I can't use my ability. And I don't want Seth to hurt him again, but when he gets well enough to walk, I'll leave." Oof said. "That's fine. Better to be safe than sorry anyway. I'll check back in with you guys later, kay?" TBH said. Oof nodded. TBH added more blankets for Socks, then left.

...

Nadwe stepped through the portal, covering his eyes from the sun. "You ready?" Dino asked. Nadwe nodded. He was excited and nervous. Was he ready for this? They walked along a worn path, heading to where the group hung out. "Zane's house is the first one actually." Dino said. Nadwe nodded. "Hey, you good?" Dino asked. "Yeah, just very excited and nervous. It's been a while. I've been dead for what? Three months?" Nadwe said. "Yeah. I would probably be nervous too." Dino said. Nadwe saw a black house up ahead, and his heart rate increased. "You ready?" Dino asked. Nadwe nodded. They went up to the door, and Nadwe hid behind Dino. "Let it be a surprise." Nadwe whispered. Dino smiled. He knocked on the door, and waited. Zane opened the door, and smiled. "Hey Dino! How are you guys?" he asked. "We've been good. A lot has happened though." Dino said. "Yeah? Like what?" Zane asked. "Well..." Dino said, and moved aside and Nadwe appeared. Zane's face filled with surprise. "Hey Zane." Nadwe said. Zane was stunned to speak. "Nadwe?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm back." Nadwe said. Zane felt tears fall down his face. He went over to Nadwe and gave him a hug. "How?" he whispered. "Long story." Nadwe said. Zane felt an empty hole be filled again inside him. He had seen his friend die in front of him, and had been more quiet than before. "Everyone is going to be so happy when they see you." Zane said, pulling away. "Yeah." Nadwe said, smiling. "Hey, your eyes are different. Weren't they blue before?" Zane asked. "Yeah they were. I have a lot to explain, and I don't feel like saying it over and over again, so we are going to get the others." Nadwe said. "Hey, while we're here, do you have any IV's?" Dino asked. "Yeah, take as many as you need." Zane said. Dino went inside to grab them. "What happened after I died?" Nadwe asked. "Well...I tried to handle it as best as I could, but...it was hard. I didn't talk for almost a week. After that, I started to hang out with everyone, but I wasn't the same as I used to be. I'm sorry I acted like that. It was just hard." Zane said. "Meme sorta did the same. But...I'm not mad at him." Nadwe said. Zane chuckled. "BOO!" Dino yelled from behind them. Zane jumped to his feet, and Nadwe changed to a bat. "What the hell?!" Nadwe yelled. Dino lay on the ground, laughing. "I am going to kill you!" Zane yelled. "Don't care!" Dino laughed. Nadwe landed on Zane's shoulder. DIno finally stopped laughing, but had a big smile on his face. "How did you even get behind us?" Nadwe asked. "Probably through my back door." Zane said. "Do that again, and I'm going to suck your blood." Nadwe said. Dino shrugged. "That's why we have IV's" "Come on, let's go." Zane said. Nadwe flew off Zane's shoulder, and changed back to human. They walked to the center of where everyone hung out. "Let me go grab them." Zane said. "Don't tell them that I'm here." Nadwe said. Zane nodded. When everyone was there, they were glad to see Dino. "But Zane said there was someone else." Noi said. "Yeah, who?" Aaron asked. Zane smiled. "Hey guys." Nadwe said, poking out from the shadows of the trees. Everyone was stunned, but they soon were all amazed that Nadwe was back. "How?" Aphmau asked. "Yeah, we have a lot to cover." Dino said. So they all sat down, and Dino and Nadwe began their story. When they reached the part where Nadwe made Meme a vampire, he told them about his new abilities. "So you can suck energy out of people, and have super strength." Ein said. "Yep, and sometimes, I kinda lose control and try to suck blood from someone, but this one time...I kinda bit Meme...on the neck." Nadwe said. "WHAT?" Pierce yelped. "Wait, if you bite them on the neck..." KC said. "They also become vampire, which means Meme is also a vampire now!" Zane finished. "Well, more like half-vampire, because I only bit him for five seconds, and I would've needed to bite him for ten in order for the curse to fully spread." Nadwe explained. "Whaaaaaaat?" MacNCheese said. "Yeah, so that was fun. He kinda freaked out when he became a bat. But he's getting better." Nadwe said. "Huh, well that will be interesting to see." Aphmau said. "Yeah. Um...oh. L4FF is on our side now." Dino said. "Okay, hold the phone. What. The. Heck." Aaron said. "Wasn't L4FF created by Chaos?" Noi asked. "Yes, but he saved Socks life when I went crazy again. It's weird, and he says he doesn't have a reason why." Nadwe said. "Man." Ein said. "We've missed you guys. All of you." Aphmau said. "I've missed you guys too." Nadwe said. "What are the IV's for anyway?" Zane asked. "Well, half for me and Meme, and the other half for people that have blood loss." Nadwe said. "How do they have blood loss?" KC asked. "Um...when I lose control and bite them." Nadwe said. "Well, something tells me that you'll manage to get over it." Zane said. Nadwe smiled. It felt nice to finally be able to see his friends again. "Anyway, we need to go." Dino said. "C'mon, can we stay longer?" Nadwe asked. "He could stay with us for now." Zane said. Dino didn't say anything, then chuckled. "I don't see why not. Maybe take him to the other worlds while you're at it." Nadwe gave Dino a big hug. "Be back at sunset, kay?" Dino said. Nadwe nodded. Dino threw the crystal and went through the portal. "C'mon, let's go find something fun to do." Zane said. Zane started to run to his house, and Nadwe flew behind him. When Dino went back to the world he immediately went to find Socks. He entered Tbh's room, and only found Oof there. Oof looked up from the book he was reading. "Hey Dino." "Hey Oof. Where's Tbh?" Dino asked. "He left a little while ago, but I'm staying here to keep an eye on Socks. He's doing a lot better than before." Oof said. Socks was sleeping peacefully, and his body temperature was normal. "Man, Nadwe was probably at his happiest yet." Dino said, a small smile appearing on his face. "Really?" Oof said. "Oh yeah. Then I scared the hell out of him and Zane and he changed to a bat. He threatened to suck my blood." Dino. Oof let out a laugh. Dino shushed him, but was laughing quietly. "Yeah, he's hanging out with them for now, I told him to be back at sunset." Dino said. Oof opened his book again, and was absorbed in it again. Laff suddenly came in, and shut the door behind them. "What the." Dino started to say, but Laff put a finger up to his lips. Something was up. Oof suddenly sensed ice cold air trying to get in. "Seth." Oof whispered. Laff nodded. Oof couldn't fight with his ice, but he grabbed his iron sword and stood close to where Socks was. Dino summoned two thorned vines, and readied himself. Laff was busy trying to assess the situation. Seth somehow managed to escape, and had trapped Natalie, Zack and Sonja. Sonja wasn't in good shape, as Seth had pretty much torn her face up. He ran after seeing it, and ran to the closest room. Suddenly, he was pushed forward by the door, and hit the wall. Seth came into the room, a smirk on his face. Socks woke up, and seeing the situation, felt exposed. "Well what a surprise. You know you can't run from me." Seth said. "Maybe we can take this somewhere else." Laff said, two green discs appearing in his hands. "Why not in here? We have an audience." Seth said. Laff had enough. He ran towards Seth, throwing the discs at him. Seth dodged them both, and Laff made a green sword, and swung at him. Seth ducked under it, and launched at him. Laff felt something cold clasp around his neck, and suddenly felt energy leave him. His green sword disappeared from his hand, and he fell to the floor, confused about what happened. "Power restrictor. And from the looks of it, it's taking a great toll on you." Seth. Laff felt the metal band, and rage filled him. He couldn't fight against Seth like this. "Let me help." L4FF said in his head. Laff took a deep breath, and let L4FF take control. Metal spread around him, and L4FF stood up. "Well, what an honor to meet the one who started it all." Seth said. L4FF clenched his fists, anger boiling inside him. "You better watch your mouth." L4FF said. He pulled out an iron sword, and got ready to fight. "I don't have a power host, so this band doesn't affect me." L4FF said. L4FF ran to Seth ready to attack. Seth pressed a button on his glove, and L4FF felt electricity run through his body. He yelled in pain, and fell to the ground. Dino went over to him, fear filling him inside. "Did you really think that I would not think about you?" Seth asked, laughing. L4FF felt tired, the electricity making him lose energy instead. "Hey, you good?" Dino asked. L4FF nodded, and stood back up again, only to be shocked again. He hit his head on the ground, and his pain sensores activated. He groaned as the pain went through him. Seth shot a black orb at Dino, and he was blasted back to the wall, and knocked out. Oof stood close to where Socks was, who was unable to help. Seth didn't seem to care about them, but went over to L4FF, and grabbed him by the neck, and started to choke him. "Don't you remember who made you, who made you come to life? Chaos made you. And now you're on the one side who he hates. Is this what he gets? In turn for giving you life, you join the other side?" Seth asked. L4FF couldn't move, and Seth was slowly choking him, destroying his neck. If he killed him, he also killed Laff. The thought that he couldn't do anything to help Laff made him feel a strange sadness. It wasn't like any sadness he felt before. It felt...natural. Not a mechanical sadness. He suddenly felt something fall down his face. A teardrop. How was he crying, he was a cyborg! "I didn't...ask...to be...made." L4FF gasped out. Seth was shocked, and in this shocked state, he let go of L4FF. L4FF gasped, and felt air go down his throat. What was happening? Was Laff taking control? "Mate, I'm not doing anything." Laff said in his head. "What do you mean you didn't ask?" Seth asked. "I didn't ask to come to life. I never wanted to become a monster. I didn't ask to make Laff suffer." L4FF said. "You didn't even have a choice." Seth said. "You never gave me one! You said that the reason I was alive was to do this, but you never thought to make me unable to learn, because over time, I learned. I learned about everything you've done, and now I know and can choose which side I go on." L4FF said. He never felt more human. He didn't care if he was a cyborg, he wanted to be able to live his own way. Suddenly, he felt himself disappear to where he and Laff shared places. He saw Laff, who had a smile on his face. "Maybe you're an AI for all I know." Laff said. L4FF chuckled. "Maybe. But if so, maybe I am a tiny bit human." Laff grinned. "Maybe we can do this together. We don't have to continue switching places." Laff said. L4FF wasn't sure how to react to that. "You know what...why not?" L4FF said. They both smiled. For the first time, they wanted to work together. Their minds connected, and they melded into one. The metal changed. It was split in half. Half human, half cyborg. "You know, you should've thought twice before messing with me." Laff said. He opened his eyes, and on the side that was metal was red, and the one on the human side was brown. "Laff?" Socks asked. Laff turned to Socks. "Trust me." he said. Socks nodded. He turned back to Seth. "You wanna go again?" L4FF said. His voice had changed to L4FF. "What? What is going on?" Seth asked. "I don't know, what do you think?" L4FF asked. He flung a sword at Seth, who dodged it, but the sword came back, nailing him the back. He screamed in pain, and fell to his knees. "Now get out of here, and never come back." Laff said, his voice changing. Seth gave Laff a look of hatred, and suddenly disappeared. Laff sighed with relief. Everyone was fine. Except Dino, who was still knocked out. "Laff, what happened?" Socks asked. "We decided to work together. We share the same body and mind, but still have different spirits. We see and hear everything at the same time, even when we're not the one talking. Might have to work on that so we're not trying to talk over each other." Laff said. Oof went over to Dino, and lightly shook him. "Oh man, my head." Dino groaned. "Easy man. You kinda took a hard hit." Oof said. Dino shook his head, and looked around. "Where...Laff what happened to you?" Dino asked. Laff told him everything again, and Dino was stunned. "Though I've got to admit, you look very cool." Socks said. Laff chuckled. "Yeah, I'm going to have to get used to my vision now. Half of it is, like, red, and the other is regular." "Wait, what about Natalie, Zack, and Sonja?" Socks said suddenly. Laff smacked his head as he remembered about them. "Damn it, I forgot!" Socks pulled the IV out of his arm. "C'mon then!" Socks said. Oof stood by to help Dino as Laff and Socks ran out of the room to find them. "They were down by this corridor." Laff said. They turned the corner, and found the three trapped in ice. "Stupid...damn...thing!" Natalie said. Sonja was awake, but her face was covered in blood. Zack was struggling to get out and help Sonja. They ran over to them. "Laff, what happened?" Natalie asked. "Get you out now, questions later." L4FF said. His robotic hand was replaced with a pickaxe, and he began to chip away the ice on Natalie. Socks got his own pickaxe out and chipped away the ice on Sonja. "Seth got out, he used dark magic on us. He put the wounds on my face." Sonja whispered. "Just breathe. We're going to get you out of here." Socks said, hitting the ice as hard as he could. "This isn't normal ice, is it?" L4FF asked. "No, it's actually a crystal, but it fools people as ice." Sonja said. "Then we're going to need something stronger." Socks said as his iron pick broke. L4FF switched back to his hand. "We could get some stuff from the base," he said. "Yeah, but she needs medical attention now." Zack said. "L4FF, stay here and clean her wounds, I'll go to the base to get the stuff." Socks said. He nodded, and Socks disappeared in front of their eyes. "Moved at the speed of light. Show off." L4FF chuckled. He got out a medkit, and pulled some supplies out. "Laff?" Natalie asked. "I'm guessing you want an answer." Laff said. "Yeah. Like, right now." Natalie said. Laff sighed. He went over to Sonja, and began to clean her wounds. While he did this, he told them what happened. "So...both you and L4FF are in control." Zack said. "Pretty much. But only one of us can talk, so...we may have to work on that." Laff said. "But still. That's pretty neat." Natalie said. He finished cleaning the wounds. Well, mostly L4FF did. While he was talking, L4FF cleaned her wounds up. Keep them both busy. "What happened to Seth? Do you know where he is?" Sonja asked. He shook his head. "No, he got away." Sonja sighed. "He's going to come back. Trust me." Laff felt fear fill him. L4FF was also worried. "Wait, he banded you!" Sonja gasped. Laff was confused at first, then remembered the metal band around his neck. "Oh, yeah. Forgot that. Um..." He tried to simply rip it off, but it was stuck on tight. "Okay, maybe we can get Oompa." Laff said. Suddenly, electricity ran through him again. He yelled in pain as he fell to his knees. "Seth still can shock you!" Sonja said. Laff felt hot suddenly, but also tired. "Not good." Laff said. He tried to rip it off again, but it was still useless. Zack was still trying to break free. Socks came back suddenly, scaring Laff. "Gezem!" Laff yelped. "Sorry! Tried to get back here as fast as possible!" Socks said. He held a netherite pickaxe in his hand. "Okay, find Oompa. This band still shocks me." As if on cue, it shocked him again, sending another wave of pain. Socks immediately took off, trying to find Oompa. Laff felt tired, but he still went to work breaking them free. When he hit the crystal, it cracked. "There we go." Laff said. He hit it again, and it cracked even more. "C'mon." Natalie said. He hit it one more time, and it shattered, setting Natalie free. "Oh thank God." Natalie sighed. Laff handed her the pickaxe, unable to do anymore. Natalie went to work setting the other two free, and Laff just closed his eyes, praying that he wouldn't get shocked. Natalie broke Zack free, and Laff got shocked again. He yelled in pain, his vision starting to blur. Zack took the pickaxe and started to break Sonja free, and Natalie went over to Laff and tried to take the band off. "I can't get shocked again." Laff rasped. He had a metallic taste in his mouth now, and felt dizzy. "Where the hell is Socks?" Natalie said. Laff noticed something with Natalie. She seemed agitated about something, and wasn't in the mood to talk about it. Socks and Oompa came running in. "He was on the other side of the castle." Socks panted. Oompa looked at the band. "Weird. It isn't like any other metal I've seen or heard of. I'm not sure I'll be able to take it off." Laff felt his heart drop. "I can try, but I can't promise anything." Oompa said. He stepped back a bit, and held his hand out a little bit. The band slowly started to move to him. "Okay, good." Oompa mumbled. He suddenly twisted his hand, and the band twisted quickly also, and snapped. Energy filled Laff suddenly, and L4FF was stunned by it. "There! It's off!" Oompa said, holding the metal. "What kind of metal is it?" Socks asked. "Like I said. I don't know. It looks something like a mix between iron and steel. But the weirdest thing is that there is obsidian in the metal." Oompa said. When they got a closer look at it, they realized that he was right. Little bits of the purple and black stone were in there. "I'll try to find out more about this. If I turn up with nothing, that may mean something." Oompa said, and went off to the library. Laff sighed with relief. "You good?" Socks asked. "I've been better...and worse." Laff said. Socks laughed. "C'mon. I wanna go to bed." "You've been in bed for maybe half the day!" Laff exclaimed. "Hey, I ripped the IV out of my arm and ran around the place, so I really need the IV." Socks said. Laff smiled. "Alrighty, I'll help." Laff promised to check in with the other three after helping Socks. When they went back to his room, it was no longer cold. "Finally, I can sleep without hypothermia." Socks said. Laff grabbed an IV and helped poke it into Socks arm. "If Dino ever finds out I ripped the IV out, he's going to be pissed at me." Socks said. "Probably." Laff said. Socks sighed, laying back in the pillows. Laff sat on the edge on the bed with Socks. "What's it like now Laff? Sharing a body with L4FF?" Socks asked. "Honestly, it feels like nothing changed. But I don't know what it's like for him." Laff said. "Did you ask?" Socks asked. Laff shook his head. It was a crazy day. He had not asked him, and felt bad. "It feels new." L4FF said. Socks was shocked at first at the sudden change, but quickly relaxed. "How?" he asked. "I mean, before I was fully cyborg. Laff knew what it was like to be both. But not me. Now that I'm half human, it feels honestly nice. I can actually feel stuff, not have sensors feeling for me. So in sum, I don't have any second thoughts on this. I could live with this." Socks smiled. "I'm pretty sure we could live with it too. You helped us. You're on our side now." L4FF smiled. Suddenly, a bat came through the window, and changed into Meme. "Laff, what the hell happened to you?!" Meme asked. L4FF looked at Socks. Socks shrugged his shoulders, as if saying 'This is all you man.' L4FF rolled his eyes. "Okay, if you're not going to tell me, I'll find someone who can." Meme said. "Take a chill pill Meme." Laff said. Meme calmed himself down, and still asked what happened. "I don't feel like explaining again, so you tell him Socks." Laff said. So Socks told him what had happened. "Wait, so you and L4FF share a body now?" Meme asked. "Yep." Laff said. Meme rubbed his temples, trying to process everything. "Maybe think about it in the morning. Sun's gone down, let's all rest." Socks said. "Yeah, I guess. Still hard to breathe for some reason. Nadwe sure can pack a kick." Meme said. His eyes changed suddenly to a dark red. "Meme, your eyes just changed color." Laff said. "Yeah, they do that now. It's like my mind is still trying to decide whether to be a vampire or not. When it's black, I'm more human, when dark red, more vampire." Meme sighed. Laff could see that Meme was depressed. Socks nudged Laff, giving him a look that said 'Go talk to him, I'm all good.' Laff smiled, and got up from the bed. "Come on, let's let Socks get his beauty sleep." Laff said. "Hey!" Socks said, laughing. Meme laughed too, but he soon stopped. When they had gone away from the room, Laff stopped Meme. "Something up with you, don't hide or deny it." He said. Meme opened his mouth to argue, but just sighed. "I'm just so confused about who I am now." Laff could see that he was right. "I don't know what to do with all these different abilities, and I feel like I'm two-sided, and some days I just stay in my room, trying to stop one side from taking over." Meme had tears falling down his face now, unable to hold them. "Hey, it's going to be okay." Laff said. He grabbed his friend in a hug, and Meme hugged him back. Meme couldn't hold the pain anymore. He had tried to hide it, but it always hurt him. "It's okay Meme." Laff said. "I don't know what to do." Meme whispered. "That's fine. No one knows what to do now! Maybe all we have to do is look at this at a different angle." Laff said. Meme chuckled. "How? Where do we find the silver lining?" "We find it from different angles. Look on the good side of what is happening. You can go into places we can't, fly higher than the rest of us, see things farther away than us." Laff said. Meme got quiet. "Listen, all of this is changing us, but we have to learn to live with it. Maybe even work with it." "How do you work with something you hate?" Meme asked. "Didn't we get off on the wrong foot?" L4FF asked. Meme was shocked at the sudden change. He wasn't prepared for it. "Yeah, we did. So?" Meme asked. "Me and Laff fought for control, but now, we're working together. Maybe you can find a way to work with the vampire inside you." Meme sighed. "I just don't want the vampire to take control and go wild. It would be hell if it did." They both got quiet. Suddenly, Nadwe came around the corner, panting. "Nadwe?" Meme asked. "I..got here as fast...as I could." Nadwe rasped. He was clutching his heart, which was starting to seize up. "Nadwe, what are you talking about?" Laff asked. "First, what happened to you? Second, Seth went into Zane's world. He tried to take control of me. I nearly bit one of them." Both Meme and Laff felt their blood turn to ice. "Are they okay?" Meme asked. "They're in a bunker at Zane's house, they said that they would come into our world as soon as possible." Nadwe's knees buckled, and he fell. Laff caught him in the nick of time, sighing with relief. "I can't breathe." Nadwe whispered. "Relax, take it easy." Laff said softly. Nadwe was shaking from the cold and fear. He didn't want to go crazy again. Laff and Meme sat next to him, comforting him. Nadwe managed to calm down, and his heart relaxed. Soon, sleepiness filled him, and his eyes started to flutter, wanting to stay awake, but wanted to sleep. "You can fall asleep Nadwe." Meme said, chuckling at how Nadwe fought to stay awake. Nadwe shook his head, but soon, he let the darkness fill his eyes, and fell asleep. Laff picked Nadwe up, and he and Meme brought him to his room. As they were putting him to bed, Meme said. "He shouldn't have to deal with this." Laff repressed a sigh. "Meme, no matter what, we all were roped into this because of Chaos. I think Chaos would've still found a way to kill him." Meme tensed up, remembering the pain he felt when Nadwe had died. "Out of all of us, why him? He's only fourteen." Meme said, his voice breaking up. Laff didn't know how to answer that. "Nadwe risked his life when he became a vampire, and knew that." L4FF said. Meme turned to look at him. "He knew the consequences, but he did it anyway. Why? Because he cares about you guys." L4FF looked at Nadwe. "But he still had the scars from it. But he learned to live with them. Even the ones I gave him." L4FF sighed. "I can't change what I've done, but I can change now, and hopefully move on." Meme suddenly noticed that a tear fell from the eye that was human. L4FF was half-human now, and he could feel emotions. He was feeling guilt and sorrow. "If I can move on after everything, I'm pretty sure he can." L4FF said. Meme smiled a tiny bit. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure he can." L4FF smiled a little too. "Let's let him sleep." They left Nadwe, and went back out. Meme suddenly got an idea. "Hey, wanna see something?" Meme asked. "Sure." Meme dragged L4FF outside, and moved some vines aside, which revealed a rusted metal ladder. Meme started to climb up, and L4FF followed behind him. When he reached the top, he stared at the sky. The stars had come out, and on the top of the castle, it gave a perfect view of them. "I found this place a while ago. I come up here when I need to calm down." Meme said. L4FF was speechless. He never felt so calm before. "You are right about it calming you down," he said. "Yeah. I noticed everyone likes the stars. I don't know why, it just does." Meme said. L4FF laid down, and just looked at the stars. He wanted to freeze this moment and look at it forever. Meme laid down next to him, and looked at the stars too. They just looked at the stars for a while. When L4FF sat up, he realized that Meme had fallen asleep. He chuckled. "Someone's going to have to bring him to bed." "Yeah, I figured." L4FF said. His robotic hand changed to his gravity gun, and he carefully brought Meme down, and brought him to bed. He went to his own room, and flopped onto the bed. Laff somehow already fell asleep, and soon after, L4FF also fell asleep, not in a power-off state, but in actual sleep.

So Socks lives, and L4FF saved his life again. Nadwe got to see Zane and his friends. L4FF and Laff fought against Seth, and now share a body and mind*me wanting to draw what they look like now asap*  Nadwe had to run back because Seth attack them.
