Peridot's POV

I am outside my school campus, gazing in awe of how huge the school was.

I slowly walked in, sensing tons of supernatural species nearby.

Here we go..

I entered the campus doors and went straight to the billboard for the direction of the section that I was assigned to.

I looked around hoping to find my section as soon as possible so I could sit somewhere quiet.

It was quite easy to find the room but it still took me a few minutes to get there.

As soon as I entered, I sat on a seat placed at the corner of the room.

I was a bit early so there's just a few people in the room.

Getting bored, I reached into my pocket for my phone and placed my earphones in my ear.

I relaxed as I listened to each song it played.

After what feels like an eternity passed, students came in and started talking to each other.

Of course, nobody will notice the kid at the corner. Even if they did, they would probably gossip or laugh at me.

I just kept on ignoring them as to avoid any kind of interaction.

Although one person was quite hard to ignore. Since she's literally tapping on my shoulder like seriously woman don't you know what personal space is.

I looked up and met a pair of blue angelic eyes.

Those eyes..

I then realized that I had met her before, This was Lapis from that store.

I hadn't realized that we've been staring at each other's eyes for a few minutes straight now.

I believe she noticed as well, as she blushed and looked downwards.

"U-uhm. Peridot, Right? Can I sit next to you?" She muttered.

I barely heard her, so I just nodded.

Her face brightening up a bit, She sat on the seat next to me.

None of us said a word after that. I didn't really care since I was too focused on the songs that my phone was playing.

I then got tired of sitting straight and placed my arms on my desk, placing my head on them as if in a sleeping position.

I enjoyed as the soothing music entered my ears, although I felt a light touch above my head.

I quickly looked up to see Lapis touching my hair.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

She blushed a bit.

"It looks fluffy so I touched it." She said in a childish way.

"This? Fluffy?" I said as I pointed at my hair.

"Hey! It's fluffier than it looks." She said with a huff.

I just rolled my eyes and placed my head back  down on my arms.

I kind of enjoyed the feeling of her rubbing my hair, so I just let her do what she wants.

It's a rare thing for me to let anyone touch my hair, but I guess she's different.

I was drifting off to sleep when I felt a few hard taps.

I sat upright and saw Lapis looking at me.

"W-what?" I blurted out.

She giggled a bit.

"The teacher's coming, dork." She giggled even more.

I hissed at her and turned my head away, smiling a bit.

I quickly hid my earphones and made myself presentable.

The teacher soon entered and started to blatter about nonsensical things, mostly about introducing yourself to the whole class and all that biz.

This is gonna be a long day.
