Summer Vacation
July 1st
Jessica and Sam had nine days until they would officially be moved in. The house was coming together and their necessity rooms were almost finished. They didn't stress about the move in and decorating. It was nice and easy, not to fast pace.
Putting aside everything about the house, Sarah was getting ready to have a baby. Her baby girl would be with her in a month and a half. Jessica wanted to be there for Sarah every step of the way just like she was there for Jessica.
While Danny was working at the house, Jessica spent the day with Sarah shopping and preparing for the baby.
"Is this a need? Or do I just want it because it's so cute!" Sarah says holding up a little stuffed elephant.
"definitely a want, but worth it. It's hard to separate needs and wants. Of course you'll have to have more needs, but it's okay to splurge." Jessica giggles
"I can't wait, Jessie. Evan and I are just over the moon excited. He's painting the nursery right now!" Sarah squeals
"Aww honey, I'm so happy for you guys. It's great that you're adopting." Jessica grins
Jessica puts things in the cart like bottles, bottle cleaners, and other necessities.
"Here's the thing about onesies, I sadly had to learn this the hard way. The babies will destroy them. Absolutely cover them in nasty food and drool. I remember I had the cutest onesie for Scarlett and she destroyed it. So don't get down about yourself when those suckers go from a pretty shade to ehhh." Jessica says
"You're like the mom pro. None of my sisters know anything about this stuff, so I'm glad you're here."
"I'm no pro, I learned the hard way." Jessica laughs

July 3rd:
"Our room is so nice! The lighting is great. And I love these curtains. How do you think I did?" Jessica asks
"Baby, you did amazing." He smiles
"I'm glad we are taking this whole decorating slash moving-in slow. It's a lot less stressful. Even though I'm excited to move out of my parents house." Jessica giggles
"They'll miss you so much." Sam says
"Yeah, but we can always visit." She whispers
Tonight Sam, Jessica, and the kids are going on a little vacation on the lake. Sam rented a little cabin for the holiday and they were leaving tonight. They weren't going to let the moving in process stop them from enjoying the beautiful weekend.
After being at the house they went back to the house and started packing.
"Are we going to swim?" Scarlett asks as Jessica and Sam pack
Scarlett and Wyatt sat at the top of the bed and asked all of their questions.
"Yes! Sam is going to try to teach the both of you how to swim a little better!" Jessica smiles
"Daddy tried." Wyatt says
"Oh I know." Jessica says
"You guys want to know how my dad taught me to swim?" Sam says
"Don't scare them!" Jessica whispers
"How? How?"
"He threw me in and said 'float kid! Float'."
The twins gasps and cover their mouths. Jessica and Sam started to laugh.
"Sammy won't do that to you." Jessica winks
"When are you going to kiss?" Scarlett asks
"What do you mean sweetie?" Jessica asks
"It's marry, scar!" Wyatt corrects hers
Sam and Jessica look at each other and raise their shoulders
"I don't know, baby."
"Daddy was asking! He wanted to know!" Wyatt says
"Well, we don't know." Jessica says
It became a little uncomfortable. Especially the fact that Danny was spying on Jessica and Sam through the babies.

July 4th:
They got in really late that night but that didn't stop the kids from waking up early in the morning.
Jessica made some breakfast for the kids and let Sam sleep in from driving all night. They had breakfast on the picnic table outside, over looking the lake. All of the fishermen were up bright and early.
"Mama, I wanna fish!" Wyatt says
"We don't have poles bud. But papa will teach you when we get back, how about that?" Jessica smiles as she wipes they syrup off of his cheek.
"It's sooo pretty." Scarlett smiles
"Jack thinks it's pretty too. He can't take his eyes off of the water!" Jessica says giving him a kiss
After breakfast Jessica sat outside with her coffee watching the kids play. Sam was still asleep so she kept the kids outside.
"Mama, come here!" Scarlett and Wyatt shout
Jessica sits up and walks to the kids with Jack in her arms.
"Can we go to the creek?" They say pointing to the woods
"Hmmm, sure!" Jessica says
It was so peaceful and nice getting this alone time with her kids. Jessica craved for mornings like this. She couldn't wait to completely move into their home to have more morning near water like this.
They took a little kick in the woods. When they reached the creek there was a little platform to sit on. Jessica sat jack on the platform while he reached for the water.
"Aww baby Jackie is so cute!" Scarlett says holding her creeks
"Jack, do you like water?" Wyatt says playing with his little brother
"Yeshhh!" He giggles

After a long day of swimming, playing in the yard, lots of yummy food, and no naps the holiday was slowly coming to an end.
Now that Scarlett and Wyatt were a little bit older, Jessica let them stay up late to watch fireworks. People across the lake were putting on a little show. Jack didn't make it past eight, so that gave Jessica and Sam some time with the twins.
They sat on Sam's lap while they went off. They felt protected by him.
"Ooh, did you see that big purple one, scar?" Jessica turns to her and smiles
"Blue Sam, blue!"
"Isn't That soo cool?" Sam says
"So cool." Wyatt repeats
