July 10th:

Everything that needed to be done to be move in ready was finished. Jessica and Sam could finally settle the family in for their first night at their new house. All the appliances were in, the beds were put together, and Jessica was able to decorate so their first night felt extra homey.

Today was the day they would get everything from Dorthy and alberts like clothes and toys and move it in.

Dorthy was very emotional sad Jessica packed up and left. Over the last four year Jessica has been in and out of Dorthys house. Officially Jessica wouldn't be coming back.

The beds that the kids had been sleeping in at Jessica's parents will stay there and stay decorated the way it is for when they sleep over.

"I can't believe this is it. You're out and on your own officially." Dorthy tears up

After the fire Dorthy was able to take care of Jessica when she got home. She would miss her baby more than anything.

"Good thing I'm only ten minutes away!" Jessica cries

"I love you, Jessie. You'll come back, right?" Albert jokes

"Oh of course, dad!" She says giving him a hug.

"Mom, I don't wanna leave!" Wyatt says as he pouts on the stairs

"Wyatt, not today!" Jessica whines

"We are going to our house!" Scarlett says to her brother

"I like this house!"

The kids basically grew up in this house, it was hard for Wyatt to grasp the fact that he'd be moving again. They started their lives in New York and then Minnesota from house to house.

"Hey buddy, didn't you want to swim in the lake?" Sam says to him as he picks him up

"Yes" he says with sad eyes.

"Well, that's what we are going to do!" Sam says

"And you and Scarlett get your own rooms with big girl and boy beds! You were so excited for a big boy bed!" Albert says to his grandson

"Scarlett, tell your brother how excited he should be!" Dorthy says

"So excited wy!!" She smiles

Jessica ques Sam to take the kids to the car while she says bye to her parents.

"We are so proud of you!" Albert says giving Jessica and big hug

"I'll miss you! But I won't forget that you have a big house to fit your father and I. Maybe we will move in." Dorthy smiles

"I'd love that!" Jessica says as she gives them one last hug and kiss.

Later that day while Sam was practicing swim with the twins Jessica put the last of their things away from her parents house.

Jack was down for a nap so Jessica was able to have some time to herself upstairs in her room. She relaxed on her bed and thought about how lucky she was. Her life took a big turn after the fire. She was grateful to be alive and living this life.

She looked at the family pictures hanging up in her and Sam's room and smiled big.

"Alright! It's big time for my big kids! Are you guys ready?" Jessica says in the bathroom as she brushes their wet hair.

"I'm a little scared mommy!" Scarlett says

"Don't be sweetie! I'll be in the room right next to you. Sam made sure that he sprayed all the monsters away.

"Why can't we share a room?" Wyatt asks

"Well, you can, but it's more fun to have your own room with all of your stuff in it!"
Jessica says

After getting the kids ready she separated them into their own rooms.

This was a big moment for the twins. They were in big kids beds and had their own rooms. It was a long time coming for them and Jessica was proud of herself for taking the next step.

Surprisingly they were comfortable and happy In  their newly decorated rooms.

For Jack, he was having a hard time because he wasn't sleeping in the Same room as Jessica. At Dorthy and alberts guest house there were only two
Rooms.

Jessica went into his nursery to cuddle with him.

"My sweet baby Jack, what's wrong?" She says as she cuddles with him.

Jack was the cuddliest and sweetest little boy. He was a mamas boy for sure and hated being away from Jessica.

He cried softly until he fell asleep in Jessica's arms.

Around ten Sam came in looking for Jessica. He saw her pasted out on the rocking chair with Jack in her arms.

He safely puts the baby back in the crib then wakes up Jessica.

"Hey, baby, did you want to come to bed?" He asks

Jessica opens her eyes and yawns. He holds her hand back to their room and tucks her in.

"I'm sorry, I guess today was a long day."

"It was..." he whispers

"I'm so proud of the twins." She says softly as she drifts off.

August:

Living in the new house was a big adjustment for everyone, but soon the kids were used to the house and their rooms.

Now that the moving process was finally over Jessica was able to work more. Her and Sam were very busy. The summer was quickly coming to an end.

Sam and Jessica also started to make time planning for the wedding. They wanted to get married sooner than later and picked a date in October. Sam loved the fall and so did Jessica.

Their families were helping plan the big day which took a lot of weight off of Jessica's shoulders.

In three weeks the twins would be starting preschool. Danny and Jessica did a lot of research for the right school. Jessica's school district was best. Over the last few weeks they have been working with them so they are extra prepared.

Today, Danny and Jessica were going to open house with Wyatt and Scarlett.

Danny picked up Jessica and the kids before orientation. The kids were a little nervous and so was Jessica and Danny.

"Do you promise you will be on your very best behavior?" Danny asks the kids

"Yes!" Scarlett says

"Maybe daddy." Wyatt says with a smirk

Jessica turns to the back and gives Wyatt a dead stare with a smile

"Excuse me mister?" Jessica says

"I have to think about it!" He says

"No more time with Sam! You're starting to sound like him!" Jessica giggles

Danny sighs. Hearing things like that put him on edge. He was very jealous of Sam and the relationship he had with HIS kids.

"Daddy, Sammy is gonna be our new dad!" Scarlett says to her father

Jessica looked at Danny and cleared her throat.

"He's not your dad, scar." Danny snaps

"But?" She pouts

"Sam will be your step dad. He isn't going to be your "new" dad. You have one daddy, right here." Jessica quickly says to quiet the awkwardness.

After Scarletts comment, Danny was I'm a pissy mood and Jessica could feel it.

"So this will be Scarlett and Wyatt's cubbies. When mom or dad drop them off, you will help them put their back packs and lunches in their assigned cubbies. Our goal is after a month of school they will do it themselves." The teacher smiles

"So what will you guys start with?" Danny asks

"We will definitely work on numbers and alphabet practice! Spelling and all that fun stuff! Of course lots of mind work with crafts and playtime." She smiles

"They look like they are having a lot of fun!" Jessica says looking at the twins who are playing in the classroom.

"They look like little social butterflies!" The teacher laughs

"They get that from me." Jessica giggles

"And their new dad." Danny adds

The teacher goes quiet and her smile leaves her face. Jessica was so angry at Danny for making such a rude remark.

Jessica clears her throat and puts on a fake smile. "Danny and I are no longer together. Something you should know is that they go back and fourth. Sometimes my fiancé will pick them up too." Jessica says

"Wonderful!" The teacher says

After orientation they take the twins out to eat at chick fil a. When they go and play in the little kids area Jessica has a serious talk with Danny.

"What the hell was that comment you made earlier?" Jessica snaps

"Oh nothing! I don't know what you're telling OUR kids at your place, but get it out of their heads that Sam is nothing to them." Danny gets very angry

Jessica rolls her eyes and huffs. "I'm not telling them
anything Danny! They have minds of their own. But they do know that you are their dad. I don't get this attitude." Jessica hisses

" "looks like you've been spending too much time with Sam!"" Danny mocks Jessica

"Oh please!"

"They're starting to talk like him. It makes me sick. I never have enough time with them."

"That's because you don't ask for more time with them!" Jessica snaps

"The only time I really had with them is when you weren't in the picture." Danny says referring to the fire.

Jessica was stunned that Danny was talking like this. She thought he changed but it was clear that he was bringing back old habits.

"I'm going to pretend that you didn't just say that."

"Your little happy family is confusing our kids." He says with no apology.

"So what Danny? What do you want me to do?" She says

"I don't know... this should be us."

Jessica pauses. "Excuse me?"

"We shouldn't have to worry about our kids thinking they have two dads because the only ones that should be in this picture are you, me and our three kids."

"You lost your chance, Daniel. You know that!"

"Remember when Sam lost his chance? Remember when you fell in love with me and he stormed into your apartment calling you a slut and a whore? He shamed you for being pregnant with Scarlett and Wyatt. He left you to go play army guy. I didn't leave you." He says

"But you cheated on me. You hit me, you tried to kill me. But I forgave you!" Jessica was about done with Danny. She was so frustrated with him. She thought that things were finally good between them, it seemed that that wasn't the case.

"Take me home."
