"I want to make a toast to one of my wonderful daughters, Jessie and my future son in-law, Sam. I can only wish you guys the best on this new journey in life together. Congratulations. I love you baby girl." Albert says raising his glass

"Cheers!" They all shout

"Thank you guys all for being here and supporting us. Especially these last few months. I'm really lucky to have Jessica." Sam says giving her a kiss

"So this is our house?" Wyatt asks Jessica

"It is!" Jessica giggles

"Sam built it!" Scarlett says to Wyatt

"Everyone did." Sam chuckles

They turn on some music and everyone dances. Sam slow dances and Jessica rests her head on Sam's shoulder.

"I love you with all my heart, Sam."

"I love you too, baby. You're my everything."

"What you did for us and the kids was amazing. I feared that life would never be as good as it was after the fire. But you changed my mind."

June 25th, Scarlett and Wyatts's fourth birthday:

It was ten day's after the Engagement. After being surprised with the house Sam and Jessica immediately starting filling some of the house with furniture and things they needed so they could move in. Move in was July 10th. They couldn't wait any longer, but they had to be patient.

Jessica had full range on decorating, since that is what she does for a living. Her favorite part was filing the house with pictures and decorating the kids rooms. She was having so much fun with everything. The family helped Jessica and Sam with some things since there was nothing they could put in from the condo since everything was gone. Jessica was beyond grateful for how generous everyone had been to her and Sam.

Today was a big day. It was the twins fourth birthday. They were having the party at the new house since the backyard was all finished. Grass was just put in and Jessica added on to what Sam has done to the patio. They were having a lot of people over to celebrate. This year, everything was a milestone because Jessica was alive to see it all.

Before the party, Sam, Danny, Jessica, and her sister Jane were at the house decorating and getting ready.

Jessica didn't tell Danny about the engagement yet. She took off the ring and decided to wait until later after the party. She assumed that Danny didn't have feelings for her anymore and it wouldn't be a big deal, but she had to also consider if he did and be sensitive about breaking the news.

She was glad to be with Danny today celebrating their first borns. They put everything behind them and came together for the kids. Danny was much better than he was last year. She was proud of them.

She could remember the day she found out she was having twins. Never did she think she would be where she is today four years ago. A young woman in her senior year of college.

"Danny, what do you think about putting their newborn pictures near the cakes? Would that be cute or tacky?" She asks

"I like that idea." He smiles

Jessica puts the pictures next to the cakes and grins.

Her and Danny gaze at the pictures and couldn't help but get emotional.

"I remember the day they were born like it was yesterday. They came into the world and my life just changed. They taught me how to love, you know? They taught me so much. Remember when we called them our little monkeys?" He chuckles

"I remember, now they are our big little monkeys. My little man is such a smarty pants and loves to get dirty and have fun. My sweetie Scarlett is just as smart and is so independent and creative. We've done so well." Jessica sighs

"Before I could blink they grew up so fast." Danny mentions

"Now they are going to preschool! God, if they are growing this fast, next is Jack!" Jessica covers her face And cries

"I know today is all about the kids, but you too. Being the bad ass that carried them for nine months and birthed them like a champ."

"Gee, thanks! I guess I'm still a little proud about that." She says with her chin up

"We've come a long way. I mean god, look at this place." Danny says

"I'm really grateful that I've gotten to this place. And I'm proud of you too for overcoming your addiction and really being there. Especially when I couldn't be. The kids are lucky to have you."

"That really means a lot Jessica."

"Happy birthday day to you! Happy birthday dear Scarlett and Wyatt, happy birthday day to you!" Jessica sings with everyone as her and Danny stand behind their twins.

"Can we blow out the candles now?" Scarlett asks

"Yes, blow them out!" Danny chuckles

"I'll give ya both four dollars if you blow them all out at once!" John, their grandpa says

"Deal!" Wyatt says

They both blow them all out at once and everyone cheers.

"Yay! Those are my babies!" Jessica says giving them both a big hug

After some cake the twins got to open their gifts from friends and family.

Jessica let Danny open gifts with them while she and Sam cleaned up a bit.

"Today was a success! Don't you think?" He says to her

"Yeah, they are having the best time. Looks like their older cousins are swimming in the lake."

"Just imagine in a few months when we are finally settled in and it just really feels like home."

"God, I can't wait to move in."

While Jessica and Sam are walking around he notices that she isn't wearing her ring.

"Hey, you're not wearing the ring? How come?" He says, he was a little hurt.

"Oh... well, I haven't told Danny and I didn't just want to wear it and him find out that way. I'm going to tell him tonight." She says as if it's not big deal

"Why would it be such a big deal to have just told him earlier today?" Sam gets defensive

"Sam, I don't know how he'll react. It's the twins birthday and I wanted to make it about them, not me. I don't know why you don't understand?"

"Is it because he's your ex and you're worried?" Sam says

"No... well, I don't know. Maybe I just don't want to rub it in his face. He's sensitive. I'm sorry if you're offended that it's not on." She says

Sam stops and things and notices that he was being a little unfair.

"You're right. I'm sorry." He says walking away.

Later that night the party ended and everyone was going home. Jessica let Danny take the kids home with him because Sam and Jessica were busy the next morning with panting rooms in the house.

While Sam loaded up all the gifts in Danny's trunk Danny and Jessica carried the sleeping kids to the car and buckled them in. When Jessica noticed Sam go back to get more gifts, she turns to Danny and breaks the news.

"Danny, we need to talk." She says

"Okay, everything good?" He says closing the car back car door.

"Yeah. I just wanted to tell you that Sam and I are engaged." She says nervously

It was no joke that Danny's heart broke into a million pieces. He still loved Jessica and wanted her. There was nothing he could do. Even though he wanted to tell her not to, he kept quiet.

"Oh! Wow! Congrats!" He says giving her a hug

Sam walks over and Danny congratulates him as well.

"This is great news." He says to the both of them

"Thanks, Danny! We are happy." Sam says

"You deserve a bright future with the one you love." He says

"Well, I'm glad that I was finally able to tell you. Now you drive safe with my babies! I'll come get them on Sunday." She says

"Sounds good."

Danny gets in his car and turns to see all three of his kids fast asleep. He watched Sam and Jessica go inside holding each other and he began to cry. It wasn't like him to cry but it really had hit him that he lost all chances with Jessica.
