Stay

September 10th-

Jessica and Sarah were going for Jessica's last dress fitting. After her first one she had lost so much weight that her dress didn't fit properly.

Dorthy wanted to take the babies for the day. She was trying to get in as much time with them as possible before Jessica went home.

"Alright Jessica, come on out!" Sarah exclaims

Jessica slowly walks out in a beautiful bridesmaids dress. It fit her just perfectly and showed every curve. She felt comfortable in it.

"It's perfect! Jessica, it's fits you so well. How do you like it?" Sarah stands up and stares in the mirror with Jessica.

"I still have lots of weight to lose, but I like it."

"You look great. You can't even tell that you had babies. Not that it matters. Still, you look stunning."

"Well thank you. I still have ten pounds to lose. Think I can lose it before the wedding?" Jessica giggles

"You don't need to lose any weight. Let's take this dress home and go out and eat!"

Jessica and Sarah were sitting down for lunch and talking.

"I have to use the restroom real quick. I'll be back in a second." Jessica says standing up.

She left her phone on the table. It started to buzz. Jessica glanced at it and saw that Sam had texted her.

*I just finished off that iced tea. Hopefully I can have you over again before you leave. Can't wait to see you at the wedding!*

Sarah widened her eyes and looked closer at the text. She was shocked... she thought maybe Jessica had hooked up with him.

A couple minutes later Jessica sat back down and smiled.

"So, what have you been doing while you've been here?" Sarah asks

"You know, spending time with family, going to appointments, helping you with the wedding, and taking care of the babies." Jessica says taking a bite of her salad.

"Have you seen anyone?"

"I've seen a lot of people." Jessica starts to feel like Sarah's trying to get something out of Jessica.

"Anyone in particular?" Sarah says sternly

Jessica picks up her phone and reads the text. She looks back at Sarah and sighs.

"Did you read my phone?" Jessica says shoving it in her purse.

"No! I just glanced. Jessica, why didn't you tell me? Are you two hooking up?"

"No, Sarah! How could you say that?"

Sarah shakes her head. "Never mind."

"You think I'm a cheater... don't you?"

"Of course not. I was just curious. You two have history."

"It was just dinner. He wanted me to see his house. The twins were with me!"

"I'm sorry for looking."

"Don't worry about it. It's just- well don't tell anyone."

"I won't."

10 days until the wedding-

Each day as the wedding got closer Jessica got even more nervous. Danny was coming in a few days which scared her. Jessica still wasn't sure how it was all going to work out with Danny. She still had lots of thoughts, but she knew that would all change once she saw him. She was starting to miss him dearly. When she had spoke to her therapist about Danny she was in a rough spot. Lots of her emotions came from the depression. As she worked more with her therapist and took her medicine lots of her deep thoughts faded. She called Danny more often and things felt okay. They still had lots to talk about but she planned to talk about that all after the wedding. She still wasn't sure if she wanted leave Minnesota. It would be too hard for her to leave.

Jessica's sisters all came over for dinner. Dorthy had made steak for everyone. All of Jessica's siblings and parents were together. Ann brought Chase over so the babies could see each other.

Ann and Jessica laid on the floor with them. Scarlett and Wyatt watched Chase as he crawled around them.

"Scarlett and Wyatt probably want to crawl around with him!" Ann giggles

"You have ways to go kiddos." Jessica says fixing their onesies.

"They are so well behaved. They never fuss." Jane says walking in and sitting in between her sisters.

"That's because they like to show off when they are around their aunts." Jessica rolls her eyes.

"You're doing good, Jess." Jane pats her on the back and smiles.

George then walks in and sits next to Jessica.

"So is this sibling time?" He chuckles

"Yes, of course!" Ann nods

"What do we do during sibling time?" George holds his hands out for Chase and he crawls to him.

"Hmm, I guess we talk." Jane giggles

"Can we talk about Jessica leaving? I don't want her to leave." George sighs

Jessica turns to him and gives him a hug. "Aww! I knew you always liked me." She giggles

"I never said I liked you. Maybe I just like when you make breakfast." He bluffs

"Liar! You just want Jessica to stay!" Ann giggles

"You can't hide, George! We all want her to stay." Jane says picking up Scarlett.

Jessica turns to her siblings and softly smiles. She tried not to tear up.

"It will be cool to see Danny and watch football with him and dad, but I still don't want you to go. I've gotten too used to you staying here. When you left it sucked. Jane and Ann never visit. It's just me, mom, and dad."

"I still have a while. I leave on the twenty-fifth. You have two more weeks with me!" Jessica giggles

"All that matters is that Jessica is doing better." Ann takes her hand and kisses it.

"I want you to all know that I do hate leaving. Minnesota is my home. I love my home."

"Then stay! Move back!"

"It's a lot to think about. Trust me, I've considered it."

That night Jessica was in the guest house feeding the babies in bed. Danny then called her.

"Hey, what's up?" He says

"Feeding the babies, how was work?"

"Stressful. It's just so damn stressful." He whines

"I'm sorry..."

"I just want to quit."

"You can't quit. You've put too much time into this  job."

"Yea, I know. How are you and the babies?"

"We are good. Jane and Ann came over for dinner. It was nice. George is excited to watch football with you."

"I'm just ready to see you, the babies, family, friends, and just be home. This past month without you has been so hard."

"I know... I'm sorry. It's only a few more days."

"These days can't come soon enough."

"Yeah...."

"Hey, I wanted to say happy anniversary."

"What?"

"It's been one year since we met."

"And made our babies?" Jessica giggles

"Yes! I love you! I love you! I love you! I love you! If I could tell the whole world how much I loved you I would!"

"Heh, I love you too." Jessica exclaims

"This has been the best year."
