Fire and Flames
December 18th:
"God you're good." Jessica says breathlessly turning onto her back.
Sam chuckles and rubs his sweaty face. "No... you're amazing." Sam says
"I hear a baby." Jessica whines
"Hey, I can go get him." Sam says sitting up
Jessica sits up with him and smirks. "You want to go retrieve my screaming son?" She asks
"Yeah, why not. I need the practice." He says quickly putting on his clothes and running out of the room
Jessica shakes her head and giggles then waits for Sam to get back.
He comes back into the room with Jack who was so quite.
"How did you get him like that?" Jessica says with confusion
"What do you mean?"
"He's quite. He's never quite when he wakes up." Jessica says looking at Jack
"I guess I have a special touch." He winks
"Well how sweet." She says

"Mama I want poppy." Wyatt asks as he leaves his oatmeal untouched
"No popcorn at seven in the morning. Eat your oats kid." She says as she tries to make up Jacks breakfast
"Ooooo, yogurt?" Scarlett asks as she sees Jessica sitting down to feed jack.
"No, this is food for little babies." Jessica smiles to Scarlett as she starts to feed Jack.
"Thanks for the coffee." Sam says walking into the kitchen.
"No problem. I need these kids to eat so I can drop them off at my moms and go see sarah." Jessica rambles
Sam could see that Jessica was really stressed. She had a lot going on this week. He wanted to help her and start stepping up. Especially with how many sleepovers he's had, he really wants to connect with her kids and help her with them.
"You go take your shower, change and get ready for the day. I'll take care of breakfast." Sam insists
"No, that's okay. Please, sit and relax." She smiles
"I can't relax when I see you so anxious and stressed. You have a busy day. Please, let me help." He says taking the jar of yogurt from her hand.
Jessica looks into Sam's eyes and smiles. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah! Hey, I can take them to your moms too!" Sam chuckles
"Uhhh, that might not be a good idea. You know, she's still adjusting to us being together." Jessica whispers
"So this is my perfect opportunity to show her that I'm helpful and good with the kids. And besides, I've never been alone with them."
"There's a reason for that. They can be little devils."
"No! No! No!" Scarlett yells as Wyatt tries to take her strawberries
"No no mister. You have your own strawberries!" Jessica says moving Wyatt's hand away from Scarlett's plate.
"I want hers!" He fusses
"You have your own!"

Jessica was finally able to go upstairs, shower and get ready for her day. It was a busy Saturday morning and quite hectic. The twins were in a mood and Jack was just fussy and clingy.
When Jessica went downstairs she expected them all still at the table with food all over them and none of the dishes done.
Surprisingly the twins were sitting in the playroom playing nicely, Jack was sitting up fiddling with his fingers and playing with Sam. They were all dressed and cleaned up from breakfast. Fresh diapers, it was perfect. So was the kitchen that was spotless. It was like the breakfast war never happened. Jessica was stunned.
"Don't you look beautiful." Sam says walking up to Jessica and holding her hips.
"How did you do all of this? The kitchen. The kids." She says
"I was just patient. I told you, I have the secret touch."
"Well I'm in love with your secret touch." She says giving him a kiss
"I should just move in."
"You should move in." She says
"Haha."
"No, Sam. I'm serious. I'm tired of sleepovers. I want you here with me every day. I want to fall asleep in your arms at night and wake up to your smelly breath in the morning. Everything is just so perfect when you're here." Jessica smiles
Sam was surprised. This was a big step. He didn't know what to say.
"Wow..." he says
"It's too soon. I'm sorry. Forget I said all of that." She says with embarrassment.
"No, Jessie. I want the same thing. It's never too soon. I just want you to be comfortable with this."
"I'm more than comfortable with this. I hate being away with you. I don't see any problems. You fit in to our little gang so perfectly. The kids seem to really like you. I mean you have your own closet space and drawers. Just move all of your shit in here and live with me..." Jessica squeals
Sam grew the biggest smile. He picked Jessica up and spun her around then gave her the biggest hug.
"I love you. I love you. Did I say I love you today? Because I love you." He smiles
"You did... but I don't mind hearing it again."

Dorthy's house:
"Sam... what are you doing here?" Dorthy asks as she sees Sam getting out of Jessica's car.
"Hey, Dorthy. I'm dropping off the kids today." He smiles
"Oh... I'm sorry, I was just excepting Jessica." She says nervously
"She was running late seeing Sarah today. So, I took over. Besides, the kids and I have had a good morning." She says proudly
"I'm shocked."
"Huh?" Sam asks
"Well I'm not shocked, I always thought of you as the perfect dad material. But I'm shocked that they are so well behaved for you. Gosh when Jessica drops them off they are crazy. Thank you for helping her how and dropping them off." Dorthy says giving Sam a hug.
"Thanks Dorthy. You know what?"
"What?" Dorthy says
"When your drop off the kiddos tonight, you and Albert should stay for dinner. I have to run so errands and work a bit today, but after I'll go get some groceries and cook a meal for everyone. Jessica and I have been having take out and I want to do something nice for her and the both of you." Sam was really going on a limb here.
"That sounds wonderful Sam. Thank you. We will be there. With the kids." Dorthy was shocked. She expected it to be awkward between her and Sam since he probably knew her feelings on this new relationship but Dorthy always loved Sam. It was nice for her to see how much Sam has grown and how he's stepped up.

"How are you feelings, honey?" Jessica says sitting down next to Sarah on the couch.
It had been a while this Sarah and Jessica have been together. Ever since Sarah's bad news and all of her struggles it was good for them to see each other.
"I started counseling. Evan and I did. To help us cope with the baby stuff. We are doing good. Better than ever. As surprising or crazy as that may seem." She smiles
"Not at all. It's good that you two are talking and working through things. You've suffered a lot of loss. I can't imagine." Jessica says taking her best friends hand
"I heard Ann is pregnant again. That's wonderful."
"It is." Jessica giggles
"Oh, Jane told me that you and Sam....." she smirks
"Yeah. We are, a thing. And this is the craziest thing I'm about to say, but I asked him to move in about an hour ago." Jessica says covering her mouth
"No way! That's soooo awesome. I know when Sam left I kinda pushed you away from him. But-"
"If you didn't push me away from him I would have never had my kids. And I would have never started things over with Sam. Back then it wasn't working out for us. It is now." Jessica smiles. Talking about Sam made her heart race
"Well, good. I'm happy for you. I miss the kids. I'll have to come over soon."
"Oh! Come over tonight. Sam is making dinner for my parents. I'll tell him to add an extra plate. Besides, I need emotional support and prayers. Tonight we are telling my mom and dad that we are moving in together." Jessica says
"Of course! Great. I'm excited. Evan is out tonight."
"Great. Then we can all be together tonight!"

Later that night Sam and Jessica were alone cooking for tonight. Sam did most of the work while Jessica sat back with a glass of wine watching her handsome boyfriend.
"Tonight is so romantic of you. Having my parents over for dinner at our place." She smiles
"Our place... yeah. Our place. Even though I haven't really moved in yet." He chuckles
"Well, one day we can have a place of our own. I kind of hate this condo." She giggles
"What's your dream home?"
"Oh you know... a house in the country with a big pond and grass for the kids to play in. A cute little fence in the front, maybe a yellow house. A beautiful kitchen! Rooms for all the kids... maybe more. And a wonderful master bedroom. Oh and trees, I like trees." Jessica smiles as she dreams about her dream home
"Maybe more?"
"I mean If we are moving in that means one day we will get married. I assume you'll want more kids?" Jessica says out of no where
"Wow.... you amaze me everyday Miss Lange."
"How so?" She smirks
"You want to spend the rest of your life with me?"
"Yeah. I'm in this for the long run." She says
Sam walks over to Jessica and gives her a long passionate kiss.
"As much as I want to stay here and have sex on this table and let the food burn.... we are out of pepper. Do you mind if I run to the store real quick?" Sam asks
"Of course. You go ahead. I'm going to go and light up all the Christmas trees.... Clean, think about you, set the table, then think about how much I want to fuck on the nicely decorated table." She says seductively
"How sexy." He chuckles
"Hurry, they'll be here room. I think I'm gonna have another quick shower. Because why not!" Jessica giggles
When Sam left, Jessica lit some candles, turned on the Christmas trees in the kitchen and living room, vacuumed, then headed upstairs for another shower. She felt dirty from all the running around today and wanted to be nice and clean for dinner.
//-//
As Jessica was in the shower the water seemed extra hot. It was a burning hot. Jessica tried to turn down the temperature but it didn't really seem to be working. Even though she wanted those extra few minutes in the shower she decided to get out and start getting ready.
As she stepped out of the shower, something didn't seem right. The floor was hot and the bathroom was extra foggy.
Jessica slowly went to go open the bathroom door she couldn't believe her eyes.

"Hey Sarah, I was just at the store and totally forgot wine! Do you mind bringing some? I think Jessica is gonna need it when she tells her parents the news." Sam chuckles as she drives through Jessica's neighborhood to get home.
"Yeah, no problem."
"Thanks, I-"
When Sam pulls onto Jessica's street he couldn't believe his eyes. Everyone was in the street and out of their homes.
"Hey, did I lose you?" Sarah chuckles from the sudden silence
The whole street was bright and lit up.... it was lit up from the enormous flames coming from Jessica's condo.
