Skypaw was a good apprentice. She was quick and eager to learn. Rubyheart was one of the youngest SnowClan warriors, she had been a warrior for 3 moons and she was only 12 moons old. Then one day, Hazelstar had a surprise. She told the clan in a meeting that they would start attending Gatherings with the other Clans.
That evening, Hazelstar called "I am taking Metalblade, Cherrytail, Sapphirepaw, Lilacheart, Rubyheart, Aspenleaf, Volewhisker, Shadewhisper, Pearlfall, Skypaw, Copperpaw, and Silverpaw." The cats she had called went to the entrance and went out behind Hazelstar. They passed the Moonpool and followed the scents to an island. They crossed a tree single file and entered the island, where the other Clans were gathered and about to start. They turned and looked at SnowClan, then she heard the ThunderClan leader call "Let the Clans gather!" She turned and saw Morningstar, Brackenstar, Hazelstar, Daisystar, and Kestrelstar standing in a tree. Brackenstar called "Hazelstar has brought SnowClan to join us for Gatherings. She will speak later, but I shall speak first. ShadowClan has been doing well. We have a new apprentice, Willowpaw, and a new warrior, Eagletalon. We have had plentiful hunting and we are ready for leaf-bare."
"RiverClan has also had good hunting." Kestrelstar called. "We have two new apprentices, Redpaw and Dewpaw, and a new warrior, Spiritfall."
Daisystar stepped forward "We have three new warriors, Ghostflower, Liontail, and Wolfclaw. We have good hunting and we are ready for leaf-bare."
Morningstar called "Sadly, our deputy Nightsky has retired. Mothstorm is taking her place."
Then Hazelstar stepped forward. "We have seven new warriors, and seven new apprentices. We have plentiful hunting and we are ready for leaf-bare."
Daisystar asked "Anyone else have news to report?" The other leaders shook their heads. Hazelstar called "Gathering over"
The leaders leaped down from the tree as the clans broke up and tried to find their leader. Hazelstar was standing right by the entrance, and it looked like the rest of the cats were there. She leaped onto the tree bridge and Rubyheart was right behind her. They crossed the Moonpool rocks and they saw the cave.
