Rubyheart soon helped Skypaw become Skyfrost. Copperpaw was now Coppertail, Fernpaw was now Fernleaf, Goldpaw was now Goldheart, Silverpaw was now Silverbreeze, Cinderpaw became Cinderblaze, and Brackenpaw became Brackenflower. She was also the new deputy of SnowClan.
"Briarflight, take Brackenflower, Skyfrost, and Lionclaw to check the RiverClan border. Kestrelfur, take Cinderblaze and Coppertail hunting. Eagleflight, take Windflame, Jungleclaw, and Havenrose to check the WindClan border. Hazelstar, take Thrushsong and Redstorm hunting. I want Crowtalon, Emeraldleaf, and Pearlfall to guard the cave mouth."

Rubyheart heard pounding as she saw Thrushsong and Redstorm enter the cave. "Where is Hazelstar?" Hazelstar was on her last life, and she was missing. "Hazelstar was... was eaten by a badger. We found her scent and we saw bones and some gold-brown fur. But her body was gone." Thrushsong mewed sadly. Rubyheart knew that she had gone to join her siblings, Stormclaw and Dovefeather in StarClan.
