Chapter Three

Nick's face went pale as a ghost. The man standing about 5 feet away from him made his throat swell up. He felt like someone was choking him but no one was near him. The man was wearing a red cardigan with a white shirt under it. He was wearing long crimson-red pants. He had tall black boots that had blood on the tip. Nick couldn't get words out. He tried but his body wouldn't let him speak. Even if he could what would he say? How would he start a conversation? It's been four years and four years of guilt and questions. That day he forgot over time but his blood burns never forgot about that day.

"What with the face Nick? Aren't you happy to see me?" The Man chuckled as he put on his old fashion glasses.

Nick didn't dare to speak after everything that was going on in his life. This was something he didn't want to remember after four years. Those eyes looking into Nick's soul. Nick stood there lifeless.

"Do you blame yourself?" The man asked tilting his head to the right.

"W-What?" Nick choked as his eyes widened once again, his heart racing.

"It's normal for someone to feel a feeling of guilt," The man's voice echoed like a radio.

"What are you getting at?" Nick uttered feeling better but feeling weak.

"The accident," The man went serious quickly.

The man got closer to Nick as he started getting flashes about the man's death. Nick was there and saw his death. Nick looked back at the man and whispered a name. That would leave his head after four years.

"Mitch," Nick whispered looking down at the ground.

"You remember my name," Mitch laughed lifting Nick's head.

"You died that day. Why are you here? How are you here?" Nick talked fast with questions and a puzzled look.

Mitch didn't say a word to Nick. He let go of Nick's head and he looked so angry. Mitch had every reason to be angry at Nick. After all, Mitch died and Nick didn't do anything to help.

"You left there to die," Mitch mumbled.

"What?" Nick questioned.

"You killed me! You left me there to die!" Mitch yelled, his face showing blood all over his body.

"No! I tried to save you, Mitch!" Nick choked up with tears and guilt.

"You did. Once I was about to grab your hand. The train came and grabbed your case and watched me die. I tried and screamed for you to help me. You didn't," Mitch chuckled and choked up on the bloody tears he held back.

Nick didn't say a word and more whispers filled his head and everything became a blur. Mitch's voice echoed through the train and echoed in his thoughts. The guilt Nick had wasn't enough to face his close friend who he loved. Nick didn't say sorry. Sorry wasn't going to fix what happened to Mitch four years ago. Nick sat back down and Mitch was gone. He heard a heart monitor again. However, he wasn't in a hospital. The train stopped and Nick got off and saw Mitch standing by the edge of the platform.

"Come here Nick, Look at what you did," Mitch chuckled which echoed through the empty train station.

Nick walked over to Mitch and turned to face the same way at Mitch. Nick didn't see anything.

"There's nothing there," Nick mentioned.

Mitch didn't speak but he pushed Nick on the tracks. As Nick hit the tracks he heard blood dripping down from somewhere. He grabbed his phone and turned on his flashlight. Nick's eyes widened with terror. Mitch's body was torn under the train stuck in the metal pipes.
