*Daryl's POV*

Adelyne, Rick, TDog, Glenn and I were in the truck heading towards Atlanta. I was in the back and with Adelyne and TDog. Glenn was up front with Rick.

"He better okay that's my only word on the matter" I said glaring at TDog.

"I told you the geeks can't get at him. The only thing that's going to get through that door is us" TDog told me.

I looked over to see Adelyne she was leaning her head back and her head was turned her eyes looked droopy like she was falling asleep. I suddenly thought about our kiss we shared damn it was so hot I wanted more of it. TDog must have noticed Adelyne not speaking or talking either because he asked,

"Adelyne you okay?"

That's when her attention turned to us. Her black eye was so visible on her face and it made me so mad that Ed hit her. I should beat his ass into the ground for hurting her, what bugged me even more was Adelyne didn't even care that he did it.

"I'm fine" she said going back to her previous position.

I just looked at her and put my hand in my pocket feeling the bracelet that Katie had given me. That little girl was the cutest thing and she was so happy and full of sunshine. She was going to grow up and be just like Adelyne I knew it. Just felt it in my heart. The truck came to a stop.

"We walk from here" Glenn said.

I walked over and pulled Adelyne to her feet and she swayed for a second and my grip tightened on her arm.

"You sure you're alright?" I asked soflty.

She nodded regaining her balance and walked off the truck with all of us.

*Adelyne's POV*

I really should've eaten before I left but I didn't. My mind wasn't on food right then, I hadn't eaten in days I just haven't been hungry. But now I was literally starving. I needed to keep it together for everyone and so I could get back to Katie. I'm sure she was okay there was tons of people at the camp more than enough people to keep and eye on her. And besides Mike said he would keep an eye on her so for that I was grateful. We walked and climbed throught a fence.

"Merle first or guns?" Rick asked.

"Merle we ain't even having this discussion!"

"We are"

Rick looekd at Glenn.

"You know the geography it's your call."

"Merle's closest the guns would mean doubling back. Merle first."

We all ran to were Merle was left.

Slowly we walked through a deparment store and Daryl hed up his crossbow and I had my gun by my side ready to use just incase. I was walking and browsing and I seen a purple monkey I smiled and grabbed it. Katie loved monekys I put it in my bag and caught up with the group as we moved up the stairs. Once we got to the door we cut the chains and Daryl kicked the door open shouting his brothers name. I stopped short when I seen the sight.

"NO! NO!" Daryl yelled with tears in his eyes.

I gasped and looked at TDog and everyone else. Merle Dixon had cut off his own hand to escape.

Everything was silent for a few moments. You could feel the tension in the air and I knew it was bound to snap. I rushed in front of TDog as soon as Daryl aimed his crossbow at him and I was staring at the end of an arrow that could kill me. I locked eyes with Daryl who was staring angrily. Rick had a gun up to Daryl's head,

"I won't hesitate I don't care if every walker in the city hears it" he said.

Daryl didn't move from his position and I gave Daryl pleading eyes and put my hand on his crossbow slowly and began pushing it down slowly.

"Daryl" I said calmly.

I seen his eyes soften when he looked at me and then he asked TDog for a rag and he picked up Merle's hand and wrapped it up putting it in Glenn's bag. And we left the room and went through the building looking for Merle.

I was so drained I had no energy what so ever. I grabbed Rick's arm and he stopped and I hunched over in pain and suddenly he was worried.

"Adelyne you okay?" he asked worried like he was my father.

That's when everyone turned and looked at me I held my stomach.

"Can we just wait a sec please?" I asked.

I felt the room start to spin and I needed to sit. Rick's grip tightned and he oulled me to the nearest chair and I sat with my head in my hands and took several deep breaths. I looked up and seen that Daryl was annoyed and quickly I stood.

"Let's keep moving."

I locked eyes with Daryl and he looked away and we kept moving.
