*Third Person*

Rick shot a walker his gun echoing.

"Lori, Carl!"

"Adelyne!" Daryl yelled.

Daryl's heart was throbbing in his chest. Herhsel said that Adelyne had lead Lori and Carl into the cell block. But the cell block had been filled with walkers and the three of them were nowhere to be found. Rick was going frantic. His pregnant wofe and kids were gone and who knows were they could be. What if they wrre dead? He wanted so much to find them same as everyone. And Glenn was worried sick about Maggie. She was with Tdog and Carol but was she okay??

"We just took down five of 'em in there."

Daryl expalined as he walked through the cell block opening with everyone else. Rick came back down the steps and looked at them.

"There were four on here, but no sign of Lori ir any of them" he explained.

Shit! No one!

Glenn took a deep breath and looked at everyone.

"They must have been pushed back into the prison."

Rick nearly growled holding his gun.

"Somebody is playing games! We'll split up and look for the others. Whoever gets to the generators first, shut 'em down!!!"

They all took off running into the tunnels.

*Adelyne*

We were in the room trying to stay silent. The alarm was still blaring basically peircing my ears and I thought they were going to pop at,this point. I glanced at Carl upset that basically my brother had to watch our mother go through this. He was just a kid and he had to see all this. This cruel world. What would Katie be like now if she survived? Strong and able to shoot a gun like Carl? Or timid still? It hurt to think about but it racked my brain. I shook off the thought and focused getting my head together. Lori grunted again leaning her head back and moving.

"What are those alarms?" She gasped.

I followed her.

"Don't worry about it" I told her.

Carl follwed us.

"But Al what if it attracts them?" He asked.

I put my hand on Lori shoulder as she walked. I grabbed Carl and he walked with us. Lori leaned against a table panting. I knew her pain, I had given birth too and it was painful. But right here right this moment it was dangerous. I put my hands on her hips. Carl stood a few feet away, watching everything unfold.

"Mom, let's lay you down."

"No-- the baby's coming now."

Carl stepped forward nervous.

"We have to get back to our cell block and have Hershel help-"

"No we can't risk getting caught out there. You're gonna have to give birth to this baby here." I told her.

"Great" Lori panted.

My stomach tied in a huge knot. I hoped I could do this, I had no choice I can't go back. I had given birth but delivering someone else's child. Well I wasn't exactly an expert. Suddenly her breathing started to pick up and Carl panicked.

"What is she doing? Can't she breathe?"

"She's fine honey. Come here mom-- let's get your pants off."

"Okay."

I undid her belt and slid her pants down and laid her down and took them off her. I looked at Carl seriously as I seen the panic and fear in his face.

"Carl listen to me. You're gonne need to help deliver our brother or sister. You up for it?" I asked.

Carl nodded. I moved my hair back from my face. Taking a deep breath.

"I have to do an exam. Let me see if you're dilated"

"Do you know how?" Carl asked.

"Herhsel taught me, but trust me, it's my first time."

I bent down and loocked sighingin frustration.

"I can't tell."

Lori leaned up on her elbows.

"I gotta push I gotta push."

I helped her stand and she grabbed onto something and I rubbed her back and helped her. That's when Lori started to push.

"Somebody!" She yelled.

I grabbed her hand but she shook me off.

"I'm okay, I'm okay."

"Okay. You're doing great mom. Just keep doing it. Your body knows what to do let it do all the work."

Lori pushed again yelping in pain.

"You're doing great."

Lori pushed again and that's when I freaked out.

"Mom, stop, don't push. Soemthing wrong."

And Lori let out a loud scream. And I looked at the blood on my hand.

*Third Person*

Carol cradled TDog.

"We're almost there."

Lights were flashing on and off abd walkers were coming. Carol aimed her gun and pulled the trigger and her gun clicked. Maggie fired and one bullet went off and then her gun clicked too.

"Go back!" She yelled.

"No. We're close. We're close!"

"No!" Carol and Maggie screamed.

Tdog ran at the walker pinning them against the wall.

"Go! Go!" He screamed.

Carol and Maggie ran to the door and looked at him upset. He was being torn apart by walkers and they couldn't do anything about it. Tdog looked at them. Maggie was crying and so was Carol.

"Go! I'm dead!" He screamed.

Then a walker bit his throat and pulled out a chunk of his flesh. Maggie grabbed Carol.

"We have to go come on."

They went through the door and kept going.

Rick, Daryl and Oscar went busted through a door running from walkers. They slammed the door and Daryl held it closed with Oscars help. Rick looked around and found the tanks.

"How do you shut these down??!" Rick yelled.

Daryl leaned against the door holding it closed. His shoes were sliding but he needed to keep it closed. He needed to stay alive he needed to get to Adelyne. He needed to hold her to know she was okay she was safe. He needed her she was his everything.

"Go help him. I got it."

Oscar left Daryl to go help Rick shut down the generators. They shut down one generator then suddenly an axe was swung around and Rick quickly dodged it. It was Andrew. One of the prisoners that he thought had gotten killed by walkers because he ran away but he must have lived. Andrew hot Oscar away and went after Rick but he fought back dropping his gun. Daryl still struggled to keep the door closed so he couldn't help. His shoes where slipping and he walked in place pushing the door shut. Rick and Andrew were fighting and he couldn't help. Daryl thought fast on his feet and let the door fly open grabbing his crossbow and shooting one then using his knife to take down the others. Thank god there was only a few.

Rick couldn't make it to his gun anf Andrew grabbed the axe ready to kill him. The suddenly and empty generator was thrown at him causing him to fall and Rick to stand. Oscar quickly picked up the gun and aimed it. Rick held out his hand and Andrew stood up.

"Shoot him! We can take back this prison. What you waiting for? Do it!"

Daryl inches towards Oscar with his knife.

"It's our house. Shoot him!"

Oscar pulled the trigger and Andrew fell dead. Daryl inched closer but stopped when he handed Rick his gun. Rick slowly took it and nodded. He walked over shutting down the generators and the alarm stopped and powered down.

*Adelyne*

I cradled Lori's head down as I laied her on the ground. She was drentched in sweat so much part of her hair was damp. Oh no.

"Mom...?" Carl said taking her hand.

"Mom look at me, look at me. Keep your eyes open" Carl told her.

Lori was panting and I was moving her hair out of her face. I was shaking I didn't know what to do. I hated the fact I wasn't sure what to do. I was a mom. I had given birth before. What was going on?

"We have to get you back to Herhsel" I told her.

Lori shook her head closing her eyes for a second.

"I'm not gonna make it."

I looked at her and the blood dripping everywhere.

"Mom, with all this blood I don't even think you're fully dilated yet. No amount of pushing is gonna help" I rested my hands on her knees.

She moved her head closing her eyes and looked at me hazy.

"I know what it means, and I'm not losing my baby."

What? What's going on?

"You've got to cut me open."

I froze and looked at her then shook my head feeling numb all over.

"No. I cant."

"You don't have a choice sweetheart."

Carl got to his feet.

"I'll go for help"

"No!" Lori yelled.

I leaned closer to Lori tears forming in my eyes.

"Carols the one that practiced that. Herhsel only taught me the steps, Mom. If I--"

"Please." She begged.

I shook my head.

"I can't..I have no anesthetic, no equipment--"

Lori panted looking at me.

"Carl has a knife."

I leaned back resting my hands in her knees sniffling.

"You won't survive Mom."

I cried letting the tears flow. My mom was going to die. Right here and now she was going to die. I couldn't watch someone else I love die. I can't.

"My baby needs to survive. Please. My baby...for all of us. Please, Adelyn! Please!"

I shook my head crying.

"Please" Lori begged.

She lifted up her shirt.

"You see my old C-section scar?"

"Mom I can't."

I didn't want to do this. It would kill her. Literally it would kill her.

"You can,you have to. Adelyne listen to me okay...I love you. You are my daughter I love you so much. I need to you to look after your siblings for me alright. Youll be okay. You'll get through this I know you will. Everything will work out youll see.I need you too look after everyone while I'm gone. I love you sweetheart. I'll tell Katie you said hello" she told me heaving.

I cried against her knee. She took my hand and squeezed it.

"I love you too Mom."

My heart was literally breaking. I heard her gasp and then say,

"Carl? Baby, I don't want you to be scared,okay? This is what I want. This is right. Now you--you take care of your daddy for me, all right? And your little brother or sister, you take care--"

"You don't have to do this" Carl cried looking down at her.

I cried harder.

"You are gonna be fine. You are gonna beat this world. I know you will. You are smart,and you are strong, and you are so brave, and I love you" Lori's voice cracked.

Carl and I sniffled.

"I love you too."

Lori took her hand and put it on his face.

"You gotta do what's right, baby. You promise me you always do what's right. It's so easy to do the wrong thing in this world. So don't-- so if it feels wrong don't do it all right?"

My hand gripped her knee and I felt my heart shattering into a million peices. I knew Carl and I would need eachother to get through this.

"If it feels easy, don't do it. Don't let the world spoil you"

Lori broke out into a full blow cry. She wiped away his tears.

"You're so good. You're my sweet boy. The best thing I ever did. And I love you."

He hugged her and she sobbed.

"I love you. You're my sweet boy. Sweet boy. I love you."

They sat there hugging eachother and sobbing. She kissed his cheek and I crawled over to her and hugged her tight. She held me crying. I didn't want to lose her she was my mom. She ran her hand through my hair and kissed my cheek and I pulled away going back to where I was.

"Okay-- okay, now."

She grunted and took a deep breath.

"Adelyne when this is over, you're gonna have to--"

"No stop-shh shh--"

"You have to do it. It can't be Rick."

I took a deeo breath and so did she.

"Alright. Its all right. It's all right."

She told us clutching Carl's shoulder. He handed me his knife and I grabbed it with shaking fingers. I can't believe I was about to do this. I didn't want to but this was what she wanted and I wanted to give her that. Carl and I were both sniffling. Lori ran her hand along her stomach.

"Whew. Good night love" she said softly.

I bit my lip letting a tear fall.

"I'm sorry Mom."

I cut her old scar and she screamed in agonizing pain and I hated to hear it. Carl looked at me.

"Stop!! You're killing her!"

Lori shuddered and we both cried. I dug my hands into where I had cut.

"Carl give me your hands" I told him.

I moved my hands feeling the baby.

"Carl please. You should keep the sight clean, okay? If I cut to deep, I'm gonna cut the baby."

I put down the knife.

"Good, come on. I see it. I see the ears. I'm gonna pull it out. I can't tell if this is the arm or the leg. Okay I'm gonna pull the baby out."

I got the baby out and it was a girl. But she wasn't moving or crying she was still almost dead. I rubbed her chest and tapped on it. I then rubbed her back and tapped and then whenshe started to cry and i held her. Carl gave me his vest and I wrapped her up. I never thought I'd hold another baby again. I stood up,

"We have to go."

Carl stood too.

"We can't just leave her here. She'll turn."

I reached for my knife.

"No."

"Carl.." I begged.

"She's my mom" he held his gun to his side.

I went up the stairs and looked oiy the door we came through. I seen shadows of walkers who had passed by. I went to go turn back and then I heard a gun shot and stopped short. I knew what had just happened. That's when Carl just walked right past me out the door.

*Third Person*

Rick, Oscar, and Daryl were all walking down a tunnel with flashlights. They heard sounds and all waited ready to kill walkers and then appeared Glenn and Axel ready to do the same. The heard walkers snarling and Daryl took them out and they sighed looking at Tdogs eaten body. Daryl picked up Carols scarf she had been wearing and looked at them shaking his head.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

They all came running back into the courtyard where they came from.

"Hershel!"

"You didn't find them?" He asked.

"We thought maybe they came back out here."

They shook their heads no.

"What about Maggie, Tdog, Carol?" Herhsel asked.

Daryls head was down.

"They didn't make it" he said.

Rick turned towards him.

"That doesn't mean the others didn't we're going back. Daryl and Glenn you come with--"

Suddenly all fell silent when we heard the sound of an infant crying. Everyone looked over to see. Adelyne, Carl, even Maggie and Carol. They had crossed paths and went out in a group. Daryl was so happy to see Adelyne but not the look on her face and her bloody hands. She was holding and infant and that's when Daryl knew that Lori had went into labor and didn't survive. Rick dropped the axe he was holding and and walked towards them.

"Where--where is she? Where is she?" He asked looking defeated.

Adelyne cried and Rick walked towards Carl,

"No...Dad, no!"

Rick looked at Carl and broke down crying.

"Oh.non No!"

Beth took the baby and Daryl went right up to Adelyne who cried hard just like Rick. They all looked at Rick, fell apart sobbing. He fell to the ground and curled up. The baby was here. But Lori was gone.
