*Daryl's POV*

I was sitting in the room with another bottle of Jack and Adelyne had left the room. I knew she was upset and wanted to be alone to think about Katie. I thought she deserved her space being by my side constantly could drive anyone batty. All I could do was think about her though day and night she concumed my dreams. It made me so angry that she got me to fel things I'd never felt before. I never had feelings, ever it just wasn't something I did. I don't feel. I took another sip of the Jack feeling it slide down my throat and the buzz go through my body I hadn't even noticed the door open and close until I heard a voice.

"You drink alot. Not healthy Daryl" Adelyne said sitting down in front of me.

"No it ain't but what else is there to do?" I asked.

Adelyne shrugged and sighed looking away.

"You okay? I know you needed time alone" I explained.

That's when those green eyes looked into mine and burned to my very core. They were so pretty and I couldn't look away. I seen she had tears forming and that's when I moved closer to her and pulled her close to my chest and we sat in silence. The only noise was the AC and the sound of our breathing. I tilted her head up and she looked at me and I leaned down pressing my lips against hers. She tasted good, I pulled away.

"You taste minty" I told her.

She smiled and chuckled.

"Well I hope so I did brush my teeth"

I chuckled and leaned into kiss her but then the lights turned off.

*Adelyne's POV*

I leaned away from Daryl and looked up. Not only did the lights turn off but so did the AC. I got up and looked out into the hallway and seen others coming out of their rooms. And Jenner came walking down the hall.

"Why's the air off? and the lights in our room?" Carol asked.

That's when Daryl came to the doorway.

"What's going on? Why's everything turning off?" Daryl asked.

As Jenner walked by us he took the alocohol from Daryl's hand and the look on Daryl's face was priceless. I chuckled and stiffled it when he looked at me.

"Energy is being prioritized"

"Air isn't a priority? and lights?" Dale asked.

Jenner kept walking.

"It's not up to me. Zone 5 is shutting itself down."

Daryl grabbed my arm and pulled me along with him catching up to Jenner as everyone followed.

"Hey! Hey. What does that mean? Hey, man I'm talking to you. What do you mean it's shutting itself down? How can a building do anything?" Daryl growled.

"You'd be suprised."

Everyone followed Jenner into the work station and that's when Rick, Shane, Glenn, and TDog all came in from a diffrent way. Rick walked up

"Jenner what's happening?" he asked.

"The system is dropping all the nonessential uses of power. It's designed to keep the computers running to the last possible second. Start's as we approach the half hour mark . Right on schedule."

Jenner took a sip from the bottle amd handed it back to Daryl and he took it.

"It was the french"

I grabbed hold of Daryl's arm.

"What?" I asked.

"They were the last to hold out as far as I know. While our people were bolting and commiting suicide they stayed till the end"

Jacqui walked up in the front.

"What happened?"

"Same thing that's happening here. No power grid. Ran out of juice. the world runs on fossil fuels. How stupid is that?" Jenner said to us.

Shane got angry and glared going up to Jenner.

"Let me tell you-"

Rick interupted him.

"To hell with this Shane. I don't even care, Lori grab our things. Everybody get you stuff we're leaving NOW!"

I ran up to Mike and grabbed his arm and pulled him. He barely budged.

"Mike come on" I begged.

He didn't say anything.

"Mike?"

I looked back at Daryl and then back at Mike. Suddnely that's when Daryl took my arm pulling me towards the door when an alarm sounded.

"What is that?" Shane asked.

the computer started speaking.

"30 minutes till decontamination"

"What's going on?" Daryl asked not releasing me from his grip.

Jenner punched in a code.

"Everybody y'all heard Rick get your stuff now!"

TDog urged everyone along.

"Let's go!"

We all ran for the door when suddenl it closed. I looked at Daryl nad he was angry.

"Did you just lock us in? He just locked us in!" Glenn yelled.

Panic swept through me and I looked at Daryl. He seen my panic and then started to charge.

"You son of a bitch you locked us in here!"

TDog and shane held back Daryl who went after Jenner. Rick walled right over to Jenner.

"Jenner open that door now."

"Everything topside is locked down. The emergency exists are sealed."

"Well open the damn things" Dale said.

I was going to freak out. I ran a hand through my hair and looked at Mike who looked equally nervous. I went over to him,

"You okay?"

He just nodded.

"That's not something I control the computers do. Everything is locked down. I told you once the front door closes it stays closed you heard me say that it's better this way" Jenner told us.

I finally understood what he meant now. We were going to die in here all of us this is terrible. My heart sank, all my surving came down and meant nothing.

"Why? What happens in twenty eight minutes? What happens?!" Rick yelled.

That's when Jenner shot up.

"You know what this place is?! We've protected the public from very nasty stuff! Weaponized small box! Ebola strains that could wipe out half the country stuff you dont want getting out ever!"

I flinched at Jenners yelling and I rubbed my arms trying to soothe myself then I felt a hand on my back. I looked over to see Daryl and Mike wasn't far behind him.

"In the event of a catastrophic power failure in a terrorist attack for example- H.I.T's are deployed to prevent any organisms from getting out."

"H.I.T's?" I asked my voice shaking.

Jenner looked at me but he was seeing through me.

"VI define."

The computer spoke.

"H.I.T's- high-impulse thermo baric fuel-air exsplosives consists of a two stage aerosol ignition that produces a blast wave of signfiatly greater power and duration then any other known exsplosive except nuclear. The vacuum-pressure effected ignites the oxygen at between 5,000 degrees as is useful when the greatest loss of life and damage to structis is desired."

"It sets the air on fire. No pain. And end to sorrow,greif...regret. Everything"

Everyone started crying and my head felt ready to explode as I processed what the computer had just said. My anixiety started to take over and I started to shake and lose my breath.

"Adelyne.." I heard Rick say.

And then the world went dark.
