Red Strings 6/?

"Fuck! I'm out, I'm out! Get this lunatic off me!" Wonsik got up as the man cried out in pain, wiping the blood off his lips with the back of his hand hastily. He raised a brow at the man who held his nose in a tight and nurturing grip, blood streaming down his hand from what was most likely a broken nose.

"If you're a beginner at fights like this, you should stay below the hundreds." Wonsik scoffed as his injury from the first fight of the night throbbed, barely feeling anything from the second. He was sure that his ribs would be decorated with a nice bruise by morning though, feeling a slight numbing throb. He walked to the sidelines where Joon, the ref, was standing, opening his palm up for the money.

A stack was placed in his palm, to which he smiled as it was heavier than the last.

"Hey man, do you think there any fights that I don't know... might pay a little better?" Wonsik asked him in a hushed whisper.

He raised a brow as he stared down at the bruised male, "Well, yes. There's always some meatheads out there looking to beat someone up. But dude, Ravi. I think you should just stay right here. I mean, you already asked me to put you in for the fives. You were in the threes just a week ago." Wonsik stayed silent as he stared at the man expectantly, waiting for him to continue. Joon eyed him up and down before sighing, running his hand against his bald head. "I mean I guess I can try to pull some strings. You sure though? I know these fights are easy money for you, five hundred per round. The guys in the sixes or sevens are savages man, I think it's best for you to stay down here."

"I think it's best if you just do what a client asks instead of offering unneeded advice." Wonsik retorted in irritation. "I'll build up to it man. For now, just put me in for a six tomorrow. Just one. If I can't handle it, I'll stay in the five hundreds."

"Alright." Joon agreed with a sigh, patting Wonsik on his back with a chuckle when he winced at the pain. "Get out of here while we're doing crowd control, yeah? Not trying to get an idiot whose greedy for money killed by one punch from you." He laughed as he walked off.

"Alright, thanks Joon!" Wonsik walked with a wave, shoving the money in his pocket as he took the usual route to the store. He walked with a purpose as his body didn't hurt as much as it usually did, the easy second fight the cause of it. The man he had fought with before hand had a capable right hook and definitely did some sort of training on the daily since he had gotten Wonsik right in the ribs.

He groaned as he pressed his fingers against his left side. Definitely will be bruised, he nodded as he saw the familiar store.

He smiled at the old lady as he walked in, to which she returned with a sigh and a shake of her head. He chuckled a little at her behavior, grabbing a basket as he filled it up with more things he figured they'd need around the house. As he stood in front of the counter, watching the lady scan his items, he pulled out the cash he had earned, counting through it quickly.

He successfully made one thousand that night and literally nothing could make his night foul, not even that drunken bastard he was surely going to see when he dropped by. He paid the lady with seven twenties, grinning like a Cheshire Cat as he grabbed all the bags and waved bade her goodnight.

Once he reached the worn out door, he repeated the same process of a gentle knock, waiting patiently— not really— before slamming his elbow into the door, somewhat surprised it didn't have a dent in it by now.

His mother opened the door with a smile that slowly dropped as she noticed it was him. He watched with careful eyes as her hand gripped on the door a little tighter, covering the entrance with her body as she put on a nervous and forced grin.

"Wonsik! What are you doing here?" She laughed a little.

"What's on your face, mom?" Wonsik asked, his voice eerily calm as he looked at the bruise his mother's precious cheek adorned. It was a purplish-red, seeming to be a fresh one. He bit the inside of his cheek at the thought of all the possibilities that could've happen.

"Don't answer my question with one of your own." His mother chided, trying to avoid the topic. "What are you doing here?"

"What am I ever here for?" He waved the bags in his hands with a raised brow, "Now, what happen to your face?"

"Here, I'll take them." She reached her hands for the bags, to which he dodged quickly, using the opportunity to push the door open and walk inside the shack of an apartment.

He clenched his teeth at the sight of in front of him, a rickety poker table set up in the small living room with men similar in manner to his father sitting around it. They didn't even spare him a glance as the bags in his hand dropped to the floor, too immersed in their games of gamble to care.

He swore his eye twitched as he stared at the drunken man who banged his head on the table with a groan as one of the other men took the money.

"Old man!" He barked harshly, slowly making his way towards the slump body to which jerked up at the sound of his voice. "Can you tell me—" he took a breath, "what the fuck you think you're doing?"

"Making money, can't you see boy?" The elder man retorted as he turn back towards the table, "And don't you dare raise your voice at me. I put you in this world and I can easily take you out."

Sounds of ooh's and ahh's filled the room as the people in it cackled at the threat a father had made to his own flesh and blood.

"With what money are you betting with?" He raised a brow, standing next to his father's figure, glaring down at him.

"With my money."

"You mean the money I gave you?"

"Yes, therefore, my money."

"The money I gave you for rent and the debt... you're using it to make more trouble? Can you be a bigger idiot than this?" Nothing could stop Wonsik's next move as he grabbed his father by the collar, dragging him out of his seat to look straight into his eyes as he uttered the next few words, "Are you fucking kidding me?"

His father pushed him away roughly, stumbling as he pointed an accusing finger at him, "It's not my fault that you don't make enough to pay shit around here! I'm gambling to make more money!"

"Oh yeah? And how has that been working out for you?" He asked, sarcasm dripping from each word. He shoved his hand into his pocket, pulling out the eight hundred and fifty some dollars he had left— not sparing a single cent for himself— holding it up in the air. "You see this? This is what I made to help pay off what you owed, though it may not be enough, I was willing to pull some out of my savings after thinking about it long and hard. I hoped that losing your man pride would wake you up and maybe make you, I don't know... get a job? But clearly–" Wonsik paused to calm his nerves, "you didn't have any to begin with. What kind of man would sit on the couch all day and rot while knowing his son beats and gets beaten up to make just enough money to barely scrape by?" He threw his head back in bitter laughter, "Silly fucking me right?"

"Get the fuck out of here before I beat your ass, boy."

In the silence of the room, the only thing to be heard was Wonsik's fist connecting with his father's face. His mother screamed in shock, to which he ignored as his father tried to swing back at him with a strangled noise coming from his mouth, to which he dodged successfully while digging his fist into the elder man's stomach.

He brought his lips to man who was heaving for a breath, gasping in pain while he was at it, Wonsik whispering out harshly, "The first one was for causing mom's face to bruise. The second one? That's for doing all the right things to piss off the one person providing for your sorry ass."

He panted in and out as he felt the vein on his forehead pulse, standing straight up to let the man before him slump down onto the ground, holding onto his stomach for dear life as he cried out in pain.

He had to leave before he lost it, he could feel his anger turning his blood into a molten heat, prepared to explode at the next thing that ticks him off. His hands shook as he bent down to grab the stack of money he had dropped in his haste to punch the other, clasping it in his hand before straightening out with a sigh.

He walked out of the living room with eyes burning holes in his body, walking up to his mother before harshly shoving the stack of money in her hand. "Here. Don't let him fucking touch it, alright? When they come looking for the money, give this to them. It's not enough but tell them they'll have it all soon."

She merely nodded, gripping the money in her small hands in a tight grip as her head slumped down in shame. Wonsik sighed as he gently placed a hand on her head, pulling her forehead in to meet his lips in a ginger kiss. "If he hurts you again, I won't walk away with just a couple of punches like I've done today." He trailed his fingers to cup his mother's face, lifting her chin up to stare at the marking with hatred. He brought his lips to her cheek, kissing it tenderly before walking away with a wave goodbye.

This time, she held back on telling her precious son that his father's debt had increased from the mere nine hundred to a whooping two thousand, fearing that Wonsik might actually pop a vein.

Wonsik kicked at the rocks as he threw his head back with a frustrated yell, panting harshly as his eyes followed the fog that left his lips. He continued to walk towards the direction of the new place he had called home— not the house he was going to but the arms.

Jung Taekwoon's arms.

He hugged his body closer as the anger left him, the heat within him cooling and no longer keeping him warm in the cold breeze that was blowing against him. He let out a little hiss as he licked his lips, the stinging pain making him remember he was still un-tended to.

He smiled a little at the thought of Taekwoon's slender fingers and caring hands fixing him up and making sure he was all good to go before letting him lay down and rest.

Wonsik continued to drag his feet across the concrete of the sidewalk before seeing the familiar house in sight. He quietly and swiftly made his way to the tree, using whatever strength he had left to haul his body up and climb onto the branch near the window.

His bruised knuckles tapped on the glass gently three times in a short and choppy pattern before doing four quick ones— a code they had made up so Taekwoon wouldn't accidentally open it up to a stranger who just so happened to decided to do the same.

Not even a minute later, the curtain was drawn back, Taekwoon's grin replaced with a small frown. He watched the elder cross his arms sassily with an eyebrow raised, Wonsik shaking his head with a grin as he pointed to the window.

Taekwoon shook his head, staring at Wonsik pointedly, who in return gave a pleading look, pouting his lips in a manner that was rare. He could practically hear the soft and breathy— annoyed— sigh that left the elders lips as he unlocked the window and pulled it up for him to climb through.

"You were doing so well, three days. Three days you came without a single injury and now you're like this." Taekwoon chided in a hushed whisper as he waved a hand to the other's body.

Just seeing Taekwoon made the tension in his body leave, his shoulders finally able to relax as a smile graced his lips. "Sorry." He replied cheekily as he closed the window behind him, securing the lock and closing the curtains before turning around to meet eyes with the other who was still adorably glaring at him. "Come here."

"No." Taekwoon frowned, whipping his head away childishly before walking over to the first aid kit that was not too far away on the desk. He let out a little squeak as he was hugged and lifted from behind, falling onto the lap that sat on his bed. "What the heck do you think you're doing, Wonsik?" He stared at the smiling man with wide eyes, thoroughly surprised and confused.

"You can do that later. I kind of really feel like shit right now and could use a hug." Wonsik replied bluntly as he fixed Taekwoon's position so those pale thighs cladded in frame appealing shorts were on either side of him, hugging the elders body close to his as he leaned his forehead against the others chest.

"Oh? What's wrong?" Taekwoon murmured softly with concern, trying to hide his alarm as he threaded his pale fingers into Wonsik's hair that slumped against the middle of his chest. "Did something happen?"

He snorted at the elder's question, "Nothing happened." Wonsik leaned his head back to stare at Taekwoon, eyes soaking up the others beautiful features. He uncoiled an arm, bring a hand up to smooth down the creases between Taekwoon's brows with slim fingers, shaking his head. "You'll get wrinkles if you worry too much. It's just a little personal problem that I let get to me. Don't mind it baby."

"How can I not worry when you're never down even when you look like you've been beaten to a pulp but know you seem all sad..." Taekwoon trailed off, placing a hand on Wonsik's shoulder while the other grabbed his hand, kissing the palm of it softly before intertwining their fingers.

"No, I'm sad those times too. No one is happy getting all bruised up daily, I just don't let it affect me." Wonsik answer back truthfully with a slight shrug, squeezing Taekwoon's hand a little tighter.

"Okay, so tell me what's affecting you this time." Taekwoon pushed on, the hand on Wonsik's shoulder moving up to hold the side of his neck in a firm but gentle hold.

He raised their tangled hands, poking Taekwoon's nose with his pointer finger. "Don't worry your pretty little head about it. I'm over it already." He leaned up, kissing Taekwoon's cheek affectionately, repeating the motions over and over as the other turned a blossoming pink, quiet melodious giggles erupting from him.

Taekwoon turned his head, capturing Wonsik's lips in a kiss. The younger resisted the urge to back away as the sting intensified at the contact of the angel's lips against his, not willing to give up a moment like this for a minor feeling of discomfort.

In fact, he pushed harder against Taekwoon's lips, taking control over the kiss the other had initiated. He drank up every soft moan and pant Taekwoon released, growling into the kiss when he refused to open his mouth. Wonsik resorted to the easiest way, nibbling on the plump bottom lip, capturing it between his pearly whites as Taekwoon let out a loud airy moan.

Wonsik pulled back slightly, breathing roughly from the short kiss before leaving a lingering peck on the elder's lips, "Quiet down, baby. As much as I love those sexy sounds you make, remember your parents are in the house too."

He laughed slightly when Taekwoon punched his arm, thoroughly embarrassed at the other's choice of word. Still, that didn't stop Taekwoon from stealing another kiss, deepening it himself this time as moved his lips against Wonsik's tenderly, softly and slowly. He took the time to make a pattern, one that Wonsik obediently follow as it kept him distracted.

"I really like you, Wonsik." His hot breath fanned Wonsik's lips as he pulled away slightly, his own grazing with each word spoken. He felt the familiar eruption of tingles as he untangled their hands, loosely wrapping his arms around the others neck instead. He leaned his forehead against the younger's, breathing in and out slowly to calm himself.

"I really like you too, baby." Wonsik replied just as breathless as Taekwoon. His hands found home on the slim hip bones that the other had been blessed with, thumbs rubbing small circles underneath the shirt the other wore. "A lot."

Taekwoon let out happy laughter, the smile gracing his features knocking whatever air that was left in his lungs out. He hummed in satisfaction as he pressed his lips against Wonsik's once more before pulling away completely, moving off his lap to resume his attempt to patch the latter up.

"Just leave it baby, I'm tired. Let's just sleep for today and you can do it tomorrow." Wonsik pleaded, gripping Taekwoon's hand that gripped for the kit.

Taekwoon stared at him for a good few seconds before sighing with a nod. "At least change first, yeah?"

"Alright."

Taekwoon kneeled down by the bedside, grabbing the bag that was hidden under his bed, full of clothes the other had brought to leave. There wasn't really much, just enough for a few nights before he'd switch them out. He handed Wonsik the clothes, asking curiously, "Wonsik, don't you have a house to sleep in?"

The latter paused, looking up at Taekwoon in surprise, "No, why?"

"What? You don't? Then where... where did you sleep before?" Taekwoon gasped as he felt his heart clench at the thought of seeing Wonsik sleeping on a park bench.

"I have a few friends that let me stay for free. They let me sleep on their couch and use their bathroom to shower. Plus, I clean up after myself so they don't mind." Wonsik answered nonchalantly as he stood up, his height towering a good inch or two over Taekwoon who stepped back at the sudden close proximity.

His bruised knuckles stung a little as he gripped the hem of his shirt, raising it up and off his body. He still had no shame in changing in front of the elder, finding the blush that decorated his face precious and cute.

Only this time, he didn't get to see it.

"Wonsik!" Taekwoon cupped a hand over his mouth in shock. He watched in confusion as slender fingers reach out, raising a brow at the elder's sudden eagerness to touch him.

"I mean, if you wanted to touch me you could've just aske— fuck!"

He groaned out in pain as he looked down to see Taekwoon's fingers grazing over his bruised side. He clenched his jaw to keep from yelling out in pain as Taekwoon pressed against the blemish a little harder, stepping closer to inspect it. He looked up at Wonsik worriedly, "Is it broken?"

"If you keep pushing and pressing at it, it might." Wonsik hissed out as he grabbed Taekwoon's wandering hand, "If you're going to touch me, touch me right here." He moved the pale hand to his abdomen, trailing it down the middle valley of his abs with a pained grin.

"Yah!" Taekwoon swatted his hand away, blushing furiously, "This isn't a time to joke. That looks really bad, Wonsik."

"It's really not as bad as you think baby. I've had worse." He tried to coax, letting out an awkward laugh at the horror that passed on the others face. He reached his arms out instead, hugging Taekwoon close against his bare chest, secretly loving the slight skin to skin contact he got as Taekwoon wrapped his pale arms around his tan waist.

"Don't worry about me. I can handle myself." He tried to convince, to which Taekwoon gripped his form tighter, shaking his head rapidly as he shoved his face into the crook of Wonsik's neck.

"You can, but you don't have to do it by yourself." He whispered across the tattooed collarbone, kissing at the skin as he finished off his words, "Let me help you too."

For some reason, Wonsik suddenly felt like crying.
