Chapter 2

The next morning, Dewey yawned, stretching, as he sat up in bed. He looked over at the clock on his nightstand and saw that he had ten minutes of sleep before his alarm went off. Groaning, he got out of bed, this has been happening all year so far, and he just wanted to sleep a bit longer, but, decided to get up. He trudged towards Louie's room sleepily, yawning once more as he knocked on his younger brother's door softly.

"Lou, time to wake up." He heard his brother groan, whining softly since he had barely gone to bed around an hour before. His phone had kept him up all night after talking with Huey. Dewey then proceded to walk to his older brother's room and knock on his door. "Hue, you up?"

"Yeah, I'll just be a sec." Huey called out. He had been up for the last thirty minutes, already ready for school.

"You need to sleep more Hue, I don't know how you can wake up so early." Dewey told his brother, his eyes closing slightly.

"Just stop talking and go get ready for school." Huey scolded softly.

"Whatever you say control freak." Dewey teased.

"Shut up, dummy." Huey laughed. Dewey rolled his eyes and chuckled, going back to his room and getting dressed. He wore a plain blue tee and his Letterman. He walked back out and went to the bathroom to style his hair. His brothers were in there as well. They didn't really mind using the same bathroom anymore, even though there were dozens, they just grew used to sharing one from as very young age.

"Hue, brush." Dewey yawned. Huey handed the brush over, the middle triplet untangling his hair.

"Your hair looks nice today, Dewey." Huey complimented.

"Oh, uh, thanks." Dewey smiled, finishing up and handing it to Louie. Louie waited for Dewey to leave the room before leaning towards Huey.

"When do you want me to give him the note?"

"After lunch, please and thank you." Huey smiled. "And done."

"Damn, when did you get so stylish?" Louie teased.

"Oh hush." Huey laughed, blushing lightly. Louie smiled and gave his hair one brush before leaving the bathroom and going downstairs for breakfast. They ate znd6were of to school. First period went by quick and second went quicker. Third and fourth cae and went and so did lunch. It was time.

"Hey! Dewey!" Louie called out.

"Hm?" Dewey turned around.

"Your secret admirer gave me another note." Dewey gasped.

"Give me that!" Dewey grabbed the note and started reading it.

'Dewey. Your eyes sparkle like stars in the night sky, your smile is as bright as the sun, your hair as soft as a cotton puff, and your heart as big as the universe. I really do love you, Dewey. -Red'

Dewey sighed dreamily.

"I don't care if this person is a girl, guy, or alien, their words are sweeping me off my feet." Dewey swooned.

"Wow, all that over words?" Louie grinned.

"Yeah, words like this, with so much meaning, so much truth. Ugh, it's so beautiful!" Dewey squealed girlishly, this made him blush brightly.

"Seems like you have a crush on this Red person, huh?"

"I'm not sure yet. Their words are super nice, but what if they aren't?" Dewey thought. The bell rang making the two jump. "Oh no! Class! Thanks, Lou!" Dewey grabbed his things and ran off."

"Don't worry Dewey. They're really nice." Louie smiled.

That night, Louie went back to Huey's room to retrieve the next note.

"Huey~Are you in here?"

"Oh, Lou. Hey. So, how'd it go?" Huey asked nervously.

"Great, he loves the writing." Louie smiled.

"I thought he might, Dewey's always been a sucker for cheesy romance poems." Huey giggled.

"Dude, you might have a shot with him." Louie told him.

"You really think so!? Oh, yay!" Huey exclaimed.

"Sh! Everyone's sleeping." Louie covered his beak.

"Sorry. Here." Huey handed him the next note. Note three.

"After lunch?" Huey nodded. "Alright. Night, Hue."

"Night, Louie." Huey smiled, completely overjoyed as he left the room.

He could have a shot!
