I promise I will go back to edit. It bothers me to read back and see mistakes- it's a pet peeve of mine. Would anyone be interested in reading a non-fanfic book I wrote if I posted it after I'm done with my two transformers books? I will definitely write more transformers but wanted to try something else too.

Hope you enjoy this chapter! I tried to make it a little longer. Comment if you see a mistake, please!

Soundwave had felt the stone glowing and jolted awake from his recharge. He jolted with a start, slightly startled but quickly gained his bearings as he scanned the dark room around him with his glowing optics. Immediately, he checked in with Lazerbeak, wanting a report on the area around them.

The little drone found nothing suspicious around them. It seemed they were safe for now.

From beside him, the human child groaned in her recharge. The thick layer of protection provided to her for the cold night was thrown to one side, and she arched her back on the bales of hay as a small scream left her throat.

The communications officer immediately activated his holoform, feeling the energon around his neck pull and tug as the little human continued to scream in fear. He just stood there at first, wondering if he should even bother since there was no threat around them. She wouldn't be drawing any attention to the two of them, so what was the point?

But he just stood there. Wondering. Staring. Feeling the tug and pull around his neck. There were times when Soundwave felt connected to this femme. It pulled at his spark. There was a connection there that he couldn't explain- she was connected to him and he wasn't sure why.

It was so unlike the bond that spark-mates held, but similar all the same. He felt something, a pull so to say, around her. Soundwave had felt it the moment he'd laid optics upon her small form in the woods that first night. But why? How? What was so special about this human? A creature so inferior to him.

Something so small he could squish her beneath his pede. Crush her flimsy bones and grind her into the dirt. But the thought made him physically flinch every time. Like it was a crime to even think about harming her.

The little human screamed again. Soundwave snapped his attention down to her, alarmed at how loud she was getting. Her hands reached out in front of her, grasping the air. Panicked gasps left her lips.

He grabbed her shoulders then, shaking her gently in attempts to wake her up. That only made things worse. Her body shook more violently and she writhed in his grip. Fluids fell from her optics as they shot open. His own optics widened as he realized that she was not awake yet, just staring at nothing.

Like her body was forcing her to stay in recharge.

"Don't touch me, please!" she screamed. Her weak hands flew across his face platings, but it did him no harm. He tried to move away, hoping she would stop before she hurt her servos. "Don't touch me! Leave him alone!"

Soundwave shook her again, but froze at the next words to come from her mouth.

"RAZORWING!"

He froze. It was like his limbs could not move. How in the Allspark did she know that name? Why was she dreaming about his sire?

"Stop it! Stop it put her down!"

Soundwave reached forward again, grasping her arms and shaking her more violently. Normally, the communications officer was calm and collected. Very little would faze him. He'd seen war, slaughter, and stared Megatron right in the optics. Not a lot could scare him.

But right then, in that moment, Soundwave was terrified.

"Lynlee!" he shouted without meaning too, shaking her so hard her head snapped to one side. Immediately, her optics shot open and he found himself looking down on her trembling figure.

"S-soundwave." she whimpered quietly. She let out a small cry and reached out, wrapping her small arms around his neck before he could move away. He stood stiff, unsure of what to do as she cried on him.

A few minutes passed before she pulled away to look at him. "I am so sorry, Soundwave. I didn't know how to stop him- I didn't know what to do-" she sobbed.

Soundwave, unsure of what she meant, scooped her into his arms before walking outside. He deactivated his holoform then quickly scooped her up into one servo. She shivered from the cold and wrapped her arms around herself.

"What do you... mean? Stop-st-op what?"

Lynlee sniffled and wiped at her swollen eyes. "I couldn't stop Megatron from hurting him. I couldn't stop him from hurting me. And you- you were so afraid-"

Soundwave narrowed his optics in confusion.

"You said... Razorwing..."

"I couldn't stop Megatron from hurting him, I'm sorry."

Soundwave tilted his helm. So she had dreamt of his sire. And Megatron. But how? Why?

"Tell me... tell-dream. About dream."  He pieced the audio together while watching the little human wipe her optics again.

Lazerbeak continued to scan the area around them as Soundwave stepped forward, leaving the little barn behind them as he listened to Lynlee repeat her dream. Every detail was so vivid. She trembled as she spoke, revealing how afraid she truly was.

He walked without really knowing where he was headed, completely engulfed in her story. She revealed to him about Megatron and the tall mech who he'd been fighting from. Though he wasn't sure, he had a strong sense that she was describing Optimus as she described the Warlords hatred towards "Orion."

Lynlee found herself relaxing as she rambled off little details of the story she tried to remember before they slipped away. "They were fighting. It got really bad, but then Razorwing came. He was really upset and I couldn't move- I felt like I was right under Megatron but floating all at the same time."

Suddenly, they stopped moving and Soundwave glanced around him before looking down at her. "Razorwing... sire. Soundwave sire-si-re is... Razorwing." He admitted. Despite the crackling of the audios being played together, she could sense the sadness in his eyes as he quickly looked away into the sky.

"You're sire... was Razorwing? So your dad was-" she gulped nervously, "murdered?"

He did not reply, but Lynlee was positive she was right. Shaking her head, she made a pained smile. "You know, my sire was murdered too."

That got Soundwave's attention. "It was an accident, though! Really, my mom and I couldn't live like that anymore. It was hard on the two of us. Everything had changed so quickly. Dad became aggressive and manipulative. I loved him so much, but he viewed love as control." she sniffled.

"I didn't mean to kill him, I swear. It was an accident. Mom wanted us to run away and he wouldn't stop hurting her when he caught us."

Soundwave hesitated at first, but slowly raised his servo and gently offered a digit towards her. Lynlee gasped at the gesture, unsure of what to do. Soundwave nudged her with it gently. The little human reached forward and wrapped her arms around it.

They were in silence for a few more moments before Soundwave finally made his confession.

"Optimus Prime... Orion... Killed my sire. Into-a scrapling...pit."

"That other robot?" Lynlee released his finger and shook her head. "But that can't be, Soundwave. In my dream-"

Suddenly, Lazerbeak alerted Soundwave of two different ground bridges opening. He stopped, immediately locating the two. They were close. Too close. There was no doubt one of them was a decepticons. Megatron would be looking for him by now.

How incredible- Starscream is missing for millennia and his most trusted asset is hunted down within a days time.

"Soundwave-"

Lynlee was cut off as something hit the side of Soundwave suddenly. A scream escaped her as she was thrown to one side. Soundwave held onto her, refusing to let her go as another energon blast hit his side.

He struggled to stand. How could he have missed the energon signal that was so close to him? He was so caught up in her dream. So bitter about Optimus, that he hadn't seen the attack coming.

A blast hit him again. This time, he fell to one side. Lynlee felt the ground shake around her and she groaned in pain as her body knocked into the dirt a few feet away from Soundwaves form. She tried to stand, and managed to get to her knees.

Before her, Soundwave also leaned onto his arm. His visor went dark as he looked around. Whoever attacked them was still in the shadows. Why couldn't he find him?

Anger coursed through his spark as Lazerbeak tracked down Starscream's signal. It zipped around, landing in hundreds of different spots around him. It made no sense- he couldn't see any bot. The mech could be invisible, but that didn't explain how fast the signal was moving.

Suddenly, a scream sounded behind him.

"Soundwave!"

When he turned around, the human wasn't there. His optics widened and he stood quickly, looking around him.

"Lynlee-"

Something hit him behind the helm, sending him to the ground before knocking him out completly.
