Who would have thought that a happy moment could easily turn into silence and the faces of your friends, who until a moment ago were all joy and happiness, would in an instant turn to shock?

"You're kidding, aren't you;" Jimin blurted out shortly after Taehyung had declared to them that this party he was holding was to celebrate the good start of his new relationship.

"There's no way you got a girlfriend that fast. You were crying to me just yesterday." Yoongi added, his expression clearly showing that he didn't believe him at all.

"Are you drunk already?" Seon laughed a little, making the others start giggling a bit as well, giving you to understand that if you didn't support Taehyung's words, no one would take him seriously.

He cast his eyes in your direction, waiting for your support on the matter, as you two had agreed, but you couldn't help but hesitate for a moment as Jungkook's face was in your peripheral vision, and the poor man was already looking confused.

"Actually...he is not lying nor he is drunk. He did get a new girlfriend." You managed to speak, as you threw your gaze around as believably as possible, meeting everyone's eyes but Jungkook's.

"For real? How do you know?" Dae questioned and Taehyung grabbed that opportunity to gesture his hand towards you and speak out those words that were inwardly making you hella nervous. 

"That's because she is the one I am dating." He uttered with a smile on his face, making the rest fall silent once again, except that this time everyone's widened eyes had landed on you.

"What? I am single, ain't I? He and I get along pretty okay so we decided to give it a try." You backed up his statement as casually as possible, only to allow your eyes to travel to Jungkook and meet his face that seemed stuck in time for the moment.

"Okay, you all. They are pranking us, ain't no way this could ever happen." Jimin smiled a bit, waving his hands around until he felt something grabbing him on his thigh tightly and looked down to see that it was your hand that was pinching him in an attempt to give him a signal and thankfully as he lifted his eyes and met yours, a message seemed to have managed to get successfully transmitted.

"We are not. I told you all I would prefer to start a relationship with someone I already know so we can skip the talking stage. And I found that person. Y/N and Jimin are through now and I don't think he would mind us dating. Right, Jimin?" Taehyung addressed him, making Jimin look over at him before he looked back at you quickly and then cleared his throat a bit, as he stole a sneak peek towards his brother that now seemed to have snapped out of his first shocking response, and was staring daggers towards Taehyung.

"Oh well, yes he indeed said that...and I don't mind obviously...if you are happy, that's all that matters, right? We will all congratulate you." Jimin tried to reinforce to the others that idea of his subtly and felt a bit relieved as he felt your light pat against his thigh, making him understand that he acted well.

"Are you freaking kidding me?!" Dae couldn't help but showcase her displeasure upon the issue as she knew about Jungkook's feelings for you -even though she didn't know if he had confessed them to you yet or not- and he also knew that till some hours ago Taehyung wanted to get Ari back. What the heck had changed in some mere hour's difference? "Y/N you and I both know that he still isn't over Ari, why would you start dating someone that isn't over their ex? And what about Ari and her feelings?"

"Ari is getting engaged and has already moved on. Why would she get bothered by this?" You retorted, knowing that your response was about to leave her speechless for she couldn't admit the truth.

"We just want you to be happy Y/N. I mean Taehyung is not a bad guy but shouldn't you be sure that he had feelings for you before getting into a relationship?" Seon looked over at you with a worrisome gaze, making you smile a bit, touched by the fact that they were trying to look out for you, but unnecessarily at the current situation.

"She will be happy, I guarantee. I sorted out my feelings for Ari. I swear." Taehyung endearingly looked at you as he spoke, making you give him a soft smile back while doing your best to ignore the continued kicking a certain someone had started doing at your feet under the table.

"If that's so, I guess we should be happy for you then. Cheers." Yoongi decided to play along after he had stayed quiet for enough time to observe and understand that something else was going on that he had no reason to get further involved in.

Jimin was the first to raise his glass to join Yoongi on his toast and Jungkook second even though he didn't wait for the rest and gulped down his drink in one go ahead of the rest, leaving his throat burning the way his rage was inside his chest.

Merely some minutes ago, you had texted him that you liked him and thus he had no reason to be jealous then you come and pulled all this on him, making him fight with his own self, to hold himself back from grabbing Taehyung's neck and sending him flying on the floor. Never in his life, he had felt more provoked, nor he had felt more cornered himself, for if he was to be violent, you would hate that and if he was to remain silent, he would lose his mind.

There's no way this is true. Calm yourself down. This is a test, this is a test towards my sanity. Keep it cool.

Jungkook spoke to himself in his head, as he refilled his glass, ignoring the cheers and claps that had started echoing around him.

"Do a couples shot, couples shot," Jimin suggested as you and Taehyung had just clicked your glasses, his words making Jungkook give him a death stare, which he took notice of and inwardly prayed for his soul.

I guess that's not too much.

You concluded as Taehyung was looking your way and you stood up, making him follow your example and your crossed arms, before taking a sip of your glasses, with only Jimin showing a positive reaction to that, while the rest were dead silent.

"You know what...emm, I will excuse myself for a moment. Be right back." Dae stood up from the table just as you finished the couple shot and both you and Taehyung followed her with your gazes, only for Taehyung to lean by your ear briefly and talk to you. 

" It seems the plan is going well. It's gonna be an easy ride from now on." He stated and you just gave him a thin smile, before you each took your seats again, you inwardly not being as sure about that as he seemed. 

Even though Dae indeed excused herself in order to inform Ari, there was another thing that was worrying you, that had nothing to do with the wonder if Ari would show up or not. 

Once on your chair again, with Jungkook seated right opposite you, you tried to mouth something to him along the line of 'I will explain later' but his harsh gaze didn't seem to change at all. You weren't certain though if he was mad, pissed off or exceptionally offended for his facial expression was a mixture of emotions. Nonetheless, the fact made you feel bad that you were putting his feeling in unnecessary turmoil.

"Well, this sure is a night of events huh? I didn't want to come originally but now I guess it's good that I didn't miss this." Seon commented, winning Jungkook's stare her way briefly before he just looked away and drank his refilled drink.

"It makes sense why he was so persistent that we all attend. I guess now Jungkook is the only one left single in our group of friends huh? Tough luck buddy." Yoongi joked as he was seated by his side and slightly hit Jungkook's shoulder, making Jungkook travel his tongue at the inward part of his cheek, clearly annoyed beyond repair at that point.

His eyes while doing that were directed at you, however, and as the rest at the table started laughing,  you just mouthed him and I am sorry as you left your foot under the table to reach to his, only for him to pull away rather abruptly and stand up from his seat.

"I will go have a cigarette on the rooftop. Be right back." Jungkook uttered a quick lie and stormed out of there with quick steps, having your worried eyes following his figure, knowing that you had to go and talk to him before it was too late.

"Tsk he doesn't even smoke," Yoongi uttered as he smiled watching him go, already knowing about his feelings for Y/N as Dae had told him everything.

"He looked angered...What is wrong? Jimin, maybe you should go check on him" Seon urged Jimin, as she had noticed that Jungkook was very off from the moment Taehyung had mentioned a new relationship and even though she still didn't know the reason for that, knowing Jungkook she could tell, that he seemed like he was holding back on something.

"Y/N, you go. I will handle the rest here. Worry not." Jimin encouraged you with a nod and a thin smile and you thanked him before you quickly took off after Jungkook, leaving Taehyung and Seon in momentary confusion, until Yoongi decided to enlighten the two.

"Taehyung sure was playing with his life tonight. Claiming Y/N to be his girlfriend while Jungkook has fallen in love with her." 

"He what?" Both Taehyung and Seon uttered simultaneously in a high tone, shocked, and then they both got silent as they kept looking at Yoongi with widen eyes, the one, realizing that he could have been punched tonight, to not say worse and Seon realizing that her husband had really gotten over her.

"It's true. Y/N is in love with him too. They aren't together yet but isn't it nice that they have found love in each other? I mean, they have both gone through a lot and deserve to be with someone that loves them and they love back, don't you think?" Jimin spoke, looking mostly towards Seon, as a small feeling of insecurity was swirling in his chest, in case of her disliking this outcome for the simple reason that she could have some remaining feelings for her husband.

To his delight, however, Seon broke into a huge smile, her face lit up in happiness as she looked at him and covered her mouth, with eyes that started getting filled with tears of happiness. She couldn't believe that such a miracle had happened. That the man whose heart she had broke, the man who she had been unfaithful to and had harmed despite her wish, was no longer hurting after her love. Jungkook loving someone else felt to her like someone had lifted one more burden from her shoulders and had gifted her a consciousness with a smaller amount of guilt in it.

"Oh Jimin, why no one told me this sooner? This is great! This is truly something worth celebrating. My Y/N really managed to love someone finally and that someone loves her back. Jungkook is gonna find his happiness again too. This is such a relief." She uttered just before she threw herself in Jimin's embrace and he held her tight, relating to her feelings to a big degree.

---Change of set---

"Jungkook! Jungkook just listen to me!" You said as you had run and caught up to him near the door of the rooftop but he didn't seem to care to halt and look your way, making you follow him further outside and rush a bit more in order to step before him and block his way.

"Hey! I am talking to you. Don't ignore me!" You grabbed his arm a bit as you took some steps backwards once before him and he just stared at you, looking utterly mad. But it was a sight you had gotten used to and confronting him and getting ready to argue with him, was no bigger deal that the cold breeze that was around in the atmosphere at that moment.

"I can't ignore you, but you sure have been ignoring me and my feelings quite a lot tonight!" He retorted as he swirled around and started walking in another direction, making you rush after him again and just engulf him in a back hug, that finally made his steps halt one more time.

"I am sorry, okay. It wasn't intentional. I was just caught up and I was trying to help Taehyung get back with Ari. There's no way you believed that I would get in a relationship with anyone over some hours' time."

"That's not what was eating me alive." He responded, making you lose your grip around him for a moment and slowly make your way to his side, to take a glimpse of his face, only for him to turn his head and face you, with a sad expression on his face, that pierced through your heart momentarily.

"The fact that I can not claim that you are mine as easily and simply as he did, felt like poison to my heart. Along with the truth, that I can't lie and claim that I would be civil, at the thought of someone else having you...I know...I am disappointing, aren't I?" Jungkook's tone of voice made you feel further guilty for you could understand that the position you had placed him in tonight was painful for him, not because he thought that you didn't love him, but because he was reminded of how much the one he was, was someone way too bad for you to deserve.

"I am not disappointed at all. Little one, I know you. I am not expecting you to react in ways that you wouldn't. Yes I don't agree nor do I like it when you get angered and yell and such, but I know that your anger issues won't disappear in a day, just like my physical touch issues won't. You have shown patience for my case and understanding, what makes you think I won't do as much?" You looked at him with care as you spoke, your hand hesitantly taking hold of the fabric of his shirt, as a way of making him understand that you didn't want to let go of him nor you were planning to.

"Y/N...I really will start seeing a professional about my issues...so maybe...you could agree to be in a relationship with me officially by then. I will work hard, I promise. Just give me your word that you won't fall for anyone else till then. Please." Jungkook's eyes softened as he brought his hands to cup your face and you leaned to his touch with a smile on your face.

"There's no reason for you to be this insecure, even though I know especially tonight I might have triggered that...But since you want to know, I will tell you." You replied right before you brought your hands above, his and removed them from your cheeks, only so you could take a step closer to him and slowly bring your arms around his neck, while he kept looking at you slightly lost.

"By the end of tonight, I will be calling you my boyfriend and you can call me yours too and by the end of your journey solving your issues, I give you my word, that I will move in with you. Does this sound like a good deal?" You questioned him as you tilted your face to the side, looking at him happily and smiling at his slightly shocked face, which didn't take long to transform into pure joy, right before he brought your body closer and lifted you up and started swirling you around.

After some giggles that you couldn't help but let them escape as he was doing so and after some pats you left on his shoulders, wanting him to put you down, he finally did so, only for his hand to quickly find its way to your neck and him to lean in and capture your lips, catching you slightly surprised but, welcoming his initiative nonetheless, with a smile on your lips.

"How about we take it easy, huh?" You uttered among soft giggles once he pulled away, having found that kiss quite fun for some reason. 

"You sure like torturing me a bit too much," Jungkook replied making your smile wider before you pecked his lips lightly and pulled further away from him, in order to place a proper distance.

"You can't blame me for that. I like seeing your annoyed face, little one." You purposely used some more words that could get on his nerves and then started walking away, leaving Jungkook behind, half admiring your audacity, half annoyed over it.

Damn, she has me wrapped around her finger. I have freaking lost this game.

He admitted to himself shortly before he rushed to catch up with you and return to the rest of the guys.
