You had found yourself in a way more joyful atmosphere than you had originally imagined, which had made you feel as if you had travelled back in time. Back in the days when everything was good between everyone and you used to be such a chaotic fun company for each other.

Ari was missing from the bunch unlike those days, but Taehyung wasn't looking faced by her absence nor he had displayed any dwelling feelings from the moment he had joined you all at that table and the first shots of alcohol had started going down.

Despite his behaviour, you were certain that everyone at that table was not buying his act but none wanted to address the issue and ruin his try to have fun, since everyone was enjoying their time also and so were you. It had been such a long time since you had found yourself so expressive and comfortable that you hadn't stopped laughing and leaving out playfully mean remarks on everyone that was to speak on something.

Jimin hadn't lost his touch either and it didn't take long for him to start turning every word anyone would say into something that could have a sensual implication, making everyone label you once again as the troublesome duo that makes everything dirty for no reason. Claims that had had you laughing even more for you were enjoying the accusation just as much as Jimin was. You both were behaving like that for the sake of that joyful reaction from your friends after all. That kind of humour had always been the common link you and Jimin had and it sure had made your relationship through the years much more easy for despite everything you could joke about anything and be on the same page.

Living such a moment again made you understand the depth of your friendship with him and everyone else too. Each for a different reason, they were a good friend in their own ways and ultimately you had found yourself happy that despite the storm you all went through, you hadn't lost each other.

"Why are you all laughing again? All I said was that I am tired." Dae raised an eyebrow in confusion at the rest of her friends for she hadn't understood what was so funny when she was talking about how much of an exhausting day she had at work.

"Tired huh." Jimin's smirk was laying across his face as he spoke, making the giggles of the rest fire up again.

"Yes, I walked a lot and my legs are aching now."

"Her legs are aching...Yoongi~" You chirmed in, resulting in Jimin giving you a high five while Yoongi calmly proceeded to ignore your stupid teasing as he referred to it in his mind.

"You aren't even drunk yet. What is with this behaviour." Seon commented with a smile on her face and Jimin that was seating next to her, placed his hand on her thigh before he spoke to her.

"Tonight is the night that we are gonna be menaces to society. Cheers!" He softly hit her glass with his nail as he didn't have his glass at hand, making her shake her head at him in disapproval even though she was still laughing while she had placed her hand above his, keeping it warmly above her thigh.

"What do you mean tonight? You are a menace to society all the freaking time." Yoongi commented, winning one more wave of laughter, yours included until you felt something brush against your legs underneath the table.

You gave a look at Jungkook that was seated right opposite you and he looked back seemingly clueless so you assumed that he must have stretched out his legs way too far by mistake.

"Ah you all are such a mess, I totally love it. I wouldn't change you all for the world." Taehyung suddenly admitted just as he raised his glass and you that were closer to him, clicked your glass with his while you commented on his statement.

" We might not be able to say the same about you though." Your mean remark had him pout instantly, despite the fact that he knew that you were joking and as everyone on the table started cracking up again, Jimin ended up throwing his head against your shoulder for a moment while laughing, as he was seated in the middle of you and Seon and at the same time that he did that, you felt another touch on your feet under the table, that drew your attention to Jungkook again.

This time you raised your eyebrows at him as if to question him with your facial expression and he had the audacity to roll his eyes at you, making you furrow your eyebrows immediately. After staring at him for a bit without being able to communicate, you grabbed your phone and texted him subtly under the table.

-"Why do you keep kicking me?"

-"Why do you keep letting another man be all over you?"

Was the reply you got from him but as soon as you read it and looked over at him, slightly mad at him already, you were faced with two soft eyes and pouty lips.

-"Get yourself together."

You replied before you lifted your head to glare at him sternly again and he lowered his head to read your text under the table before he lifted his head again, passing the baton on you to look down.

-"I am sorry...I am just... jealous."

Your eyes widened reading his reply, feeling instantly flustered over the fact that he had dared to admit such a thing. Even though by now you knew him well, saying it so openly always had an effect on you that you love-hated.

-"There's nothing to be jealous of...I like you."

You dared to type and sent it without thinking much of it for if you were you wouldn't send it at all. You put your phone aside and immediately excused yourself, in an attempt to not be there to witness his face when he reads that, for you were sure, he was gonna make you even more flustered with his reaction to that.

"Oh well, I will go get us some more drinks." You gave yourself an excuse to stand from the table and leave, ignoring Jungkook's soft eyes that followed you, with a mixture of joy, love and disappointment ghosting over his face, the last being caused by the fact that you were leaving.

He was being a bit desperate for your attention because his insecurities were playing with him a lot, while you were joking with Jimin and were seated right by his side. The atmosphere had started to feel like he had travelled back in time for him too but unlike you, he wasn't enjoying that, because the past had a fact that was playing with his nerves. It had you being not his. It had you being someone who wasn't even interested in him. And maybe to his past self that was normal and acceptable but to the him of that moment, it felt like hell.

She will be mad for real if I don't control my emotions and embarrass her...She said she liked me~

He chimed happily to himself as he watched your figure reach the bar, feeling like he was about to burst. Nonetheless, he cleared his throat a bit and junk down the rest of his drink, while he encouraged himself to act properly because you would most likely end up scolding him if not.

It didn't take long for Jungkook to dive into his own world, making him not even notice how Taehyung excused himself from the table and nonchalantly made his way to you, while you were waiting for your order to get ready.

"Y/N."

"Taehyung? What's up?" You questioned him as he halted his steps by your side and you turned around to look at him.

"I know this may sound a bit too much but I need a favour from you." He said as he threw his eyes towards the table where the rest were and then back at you.

"Favour?... Okay, let me hear it." You replied, a bit perplexed as to what could he possibly ask for and he just requested you to follow him further to a corner, before once there, he started explaining himself.

"Don't ask me how but I found out about Ari's whereabouts and I went to see her at the Hotel she was staying-"

"Hold up? You went abroad?" You questioned him, making him instantly understand that apparently, you were way more clueless than he was.

"She has returned. And apparently, she was never dating that Hoseok guy, nor she is getting engaged to him. I was roaming around the hotel cause I didn't know in which room she was staying and if I were to ask the reception they don't give out personal information and while roaming around I happened to eavesdrop on her talking with that guy, saying about how they were doing this to me to see my reaction and such. She was playing with me!" He showcased his frustration over the fact while you took your moment to process everything he had just said, for the last time you had heard about Ari from the girls, they had barely mentioned a new boyfriend.

I have lost some episodes it seems.

"I can understand how that can be annoying to you, but isn't that good news? I mean, as far as I have heard, you were gloomy because of your break up with her."

"It's definitely good news! But the fact that she was playing with my emotions doesn't change. So before I beg her to get back together, I need to make things even. I am dying out here! I can't believe she did this to me. I couldn't sleep for so long, thinking she replaced me already. What about my feelings huh?! This was seriously harsh and unfair, don't you think?" He questioned you and you gave the situation a quick thought before nodding to him.

In general lines, he had every right to be feeling aggravated, for if all he said was true, then Ari indeed had played with his head and his feelings a bit too mercilessly but on the other hand, knowing her side too, you understood that most likely her getting back on him in this way was the only way for her to vent her feelings about the issue of the bet and move past it.

"Are you sure that you want to frustrate her more? I mean she is pretty much already quite mad at you." You argued, feeling slightly worried about him, for even though he had a right, if he was to fight back in this case, Ari might really discard him for good.

"I don't want to frustrate her. I want to make her admit that she still wants me so I can too admit that I want her and we can be together again. I just want to make her drop her game."He clarified and to that you smiled, finding it a good idea and supporting it definitely.

"Great! And you need my help on what exactly?"

"Please come with me and pretend that we two are dating, in front of the rest of our friends." He uttered, leaving you instantly frozen in place, while that primary excitement and availability to help him, washed away from your face.

"What?"

"It will be for one hour max. I am sure if we convince them Dae will inform her immediately and Ari will get so angry, she will show up. Just one hour, please. You are the only one that is single in our friend group and the only female friend I have that's close enough for me to ask this favour. Please help me out just this ones, Y/N" Taehyung proceeded to beg you, with soft eyes and clear desperation in his eyes, while you gulped down your saliva with difficulty. For even though you could be considered single in a way, you still were aware of a certain someone, that will flip if you were ever to go and claim such a thing.

"Taehyung, this might be a bit risky for you. Maybe we should rethink this." You tried to reason with him, only to instantly feel bad as you saw the way his face got filled with sadness.

"You aren't going to help me either, aren't you?"

"Just how many people have you asked?" You raised an eyebrow at him and he just lowered his head more in defeat, making you leave an exhale and escape your lips.

"Damn...fine." You uttered as regret slightly hit you while letting those words roll out of your lips, but it sure made Taehyung's face lit up.

"Really?! Oh my God Y/N thank you! I will never forget this! You are an awesome friend!" He uttered full of enthusiasm while you just gave him a thin smile thinking inwardly that only an awesome friend that you weren't for you had literally put his life in danger by agreeing.

Let's just hope Jungkook won't buy our act.
