Crystal's P.O.V

I suddenly hear a crash from outside the room. I sit up in alarm. Mitch sits up next to me.

"Did you hear that?" He asks. I nod. I get up out of bed and turn my flashlight on my phone on. I open the door and head into the living room. I knock on the kids door.

"Are you guys ok?" I ask them.

"Yeah, we're scared to come out though." Amethyst says in a shaky voice. Mitch looks at me with worried eyes.

"Are they ok?" He asks.

"Just stay in there then. Your dad and I will look around the cabin." I say. I look over Mitch and nod. He sighs with relief.

"I'll check the inside. You check around the cabin outside. But do not stray any farther than the side of the house. I don't want to risk losing anyone on this trip." I say to Mitch. He nods and walks out the door. I walk around the cabin and find nothing, until I found a door. I open it. Bet you can't guess what it is. If you guessed basement, you're damn right. Welp, I ain't going down there.

"Did you find a basement?" Someone asks. I jump and turn around seeing Mitch.

"Mitch! Give me a heart attack why don't you!" I yell.

"Sorry." He apologizes. "But if you want to explore the basement, you're not going down there by yourself. We've already had experience with that many times."

"I wasn't-" I didn't finish my sentence before Mitch walked down the basement stairs. "Planning on going down there. But I guess I have to now." I huff and follow him. We walk around the basement when I feel a pinch in my arm. "The hell?"

"What?" Mitch asks and points his flashlight at me.

"Something pinched my arm." I say and look at it. There's a tiny hole where I was pinched.

"It looks like a needle was stuck in your arm." Mitch says.

"Yeah. Oh well, we found nothing. Let's get to bed."
