Chapter 4

"Y-you...what is this place? Who's the bat-scorpion, and why did he almost strangle me?" "Terra, this is the hideout for the Eterna Abandoned Pokémon Guild. That's the leader, Akechi, and he isn't exactly welcoming to surprise visitors." "So, you were leading me here all along," I asked the Riolu.

"Well, not here, per say. You see, the card marked the main entrance, and we were anticipating you to go in there. We had no idea you would find that secret entrance." "I didn't know I would either. I was being chased by a trainer, and opened the passage after hitting that rock in rage."

"Well, Terra, if you'll be joining us, we'll need to test your readiness. Come with me," Akechi told me. I followed him to the door in the wall, with the Riolu following me. We followed the Gliscor down a long hallway, while I talked to the Riolu. "Hey, I still don't know, what's your name," I asked the Riolu.

"Oh, I never told you? It's Tomi, my name is Tomi." "Well, I never told you my name, so it sort of balances out," I chuckled. "Yeah, I guess you didn't," he laughed back. "Keep it moving, you two," Akechi told us, who was far ahead of us.

Tomi moved to my side, and we picked up our pace. "So, how were you picked up by this place," I asked Tomi. "That's a long story for another time," Tomi told me. I looked at the Fighting-type, his soft red eyes making me feel safe when I looked at them. He smiled at me, causing me to smile back.

"Okay, you two, wait in here," the yellow stomached Gliscor ordered, directing us into a room. Tomi and I walked inside the room, a training gym, before Akechi closed the door behind us, leaving us alone inside. "So, is there time enough to explain how you were picked up by this place?" "Terra, why are you so interested in hearing about this? I was abandoned, I came here, end of story."

"Whoa, there, Tomi! You don't need to be so mad about this." "S-sorry, I'm just kind of sensitive to talking about that." Suddenly, a rumbling sound came from above the guild's headquarters, and a ceiling tile fell in the corner of the room. "Tomi, was that an earthquake," I worriedly asked.

"Yeah, I think it was. C'mon, we need to make sure everyone gets to safety," Tomi shouted as he rushed to the door. He pulled on the handle, only to find it locked. "Dang it, Akechi! Why must you always do this?"

Tomi looked over to me, before giving a look of realization. "Terra, can you use Razor Leaf, but fire out a single leaf," he asked me. "And fire it right, here," he told me, pointing to the gap between the door and doorframe, where the handle was. I gave him a confused look, before attempting what he asked. I tried to limit the amount of leaves I threw using Razor Leaf, and before I knew it, the door had been kicked down by Tomi.

"Terra, we have a job to do! Make sure everyone gets out!" I nodded and ran back down the first hallway, yelling for everyone to get out as loud as I could down the hall. "Help, somebody, I'm trapped," a voice called from down the hall. I ran to where I heard it, and saw a doorway that had caved in.

"Hey, what's your name," I asked the Pokémon inside. "P-Psythe," the scared boy told me. "Psythe, I'm Terra, and right now, you need to get out of the area of the door." "O-okay, I am." "Good, now get ready!"

I took a few steps backwards, before releasing a few rounds of Razor Leaf at the mound of rocks. The rocks kept shifting and crumbling, until the wall fell down. Psythe came out of the room slowly, shivering with fear. The Pokémon had orange horns, light blue hair, and purple skin. "Th-thank you, Terra," he stammered.

"Thank me later, we still need to get out. Is there anyone left behind us, Ralts?" The Psychic/Fairy-type looked towards the hall behind me, before turning back to me. "No, we're the last ones." "Then let's go!"

We ran back the way I came, and then down the hall Tomi went down. "So, you're not like any Ralts I've ever seen." "Well, th-that's because I'm a Sh-Shiny Pokémon. Akechi is Shiny too. I know that it makes me special, but I've always hated it."

"How so? I think you look cool!" "Well, very few others did. I had no friends, all because I was born off-colored. Eventually, my parents heard about this place, and are currently here, negotiating if I could be in this."

"Well, I'd be glad to be your friend. Your color makes no difference on who you are." The Ralts looked at me, moving his blue hair so that I could see his orange eyes. He began crying, before hugging me around the neck. "Th-thank y-you, thank you s-so mu-mu-much," he sobbed into my shell.

"Not yet, Psythe, we still need to get out." "Yeah, let's go!" We ran as fast as we could down the hall, and around the corner, where Tomi awaited us. "Terra, was Psythe the only one," he quickly asked. "Yeah, he's the only one that was left who hadn't already escaped."

We quickly ran out of the hideout, only to find no one around. "Wait, where did everyone go? They were all up here just right now," Tomi frantically. "Oh, I got them away, Tomi," Akechi told him. We turned around to see the Shiny Gliscor hovering behind us.
