Chapter 3

"Hey, what's wrong? You seem really unconcerned about everything." "It's because, last night, my trainer, she...she abandoned me. She felt that being a trainer wasn't for her, and left me, along with her 2 other Pokémon. I'm still torn up about it."

"Hey, I've been there before. Who needs trainers? We Pokémon gotta stick together, you know," Daisy asked me. "N-no, I don't know, Daisy. I disagree with you."

"Wait, so even after your trainer abandoned you, you still think that trainers should own Pokémon?" "Yeah, I do! I felt close to my trainer for the time that I knew her. She was my friend, I was her partner." "If she was such a good friend, why did she leave you behind?"

"She learned that being a trainer wasn't really for her." "And she couldn't keep you? You could only battle and nothing else?" I tried to respond, but could only come up blank. She was right, I could have done more than battling, but Allie still left me behind.

"Check and mate, I win," Daisy laughed as she used Heal Pulse on me. The pain in my back was gone, and I was able to move again without hurting myself. "Th-thanks," I grunted as I got back on my feet. "You're welcome, Terra." "Wait, how do you know my name?"

"I read your mind. I'm a Psychic-type, it was easy." "Well, Daisy, you're welcome for the assistance. Now, I'll be moving along. See ya' later," I told Daisy as I walked back into the woods.

As I continued my journey to the place marked on the card, I began to think about what Daisy had told me. "Maybe, just maybe, Daisy is right. Allie could have kept me, I could have done more than battle, and yet, she released me, as if she was being forced to do so. Maybe...maybe Allie hates me now."

My depressed thoughts were slowing me down, so I tried to interrupt them with other ideas. "I wonder what that Riolu is leading me too. Why would he want me to go to that location?" Just then, a thought clicked into my head, one that I knew from some movies I had watched with Allie. "Maybe, that Riolu, likes me?

As I continued walking through the forest, my stomach began to growl. I figured that I could rest for a bit, eat the last of those Sitrus Berries, and continue on my way. I sat down under a shady tree and opened the bag, taking out the last 2 Sitrus Berries. But, before I could eat them, a rustling came from the bushes in front of me.

Thinking it was Mal, I was paralyzed with fear, unable to move away. Unfortunately, it was worse than Mal could ever be. Out of the bushes came a girl, around 11 looking, with a black ponytail, tan skin, emerald eyes, and holding a Great Ball. This girl was a trainer, and I knew it by the look in her eyes and the capsule in her hand. She was going to try and capture me!

"Ooh, a Turtwig! And it's all alone." I thought about what she might do, and got mad. "If Allie doesn't need me, than no one else does. And I will not let this girl capture me," I thought to myself.

I stood a bit taller, mustering up the best snarl I could make. The trainer hesitated for a brief moment, scared at what I may do. I took this moment to make a mad dash for the woods, running as fast as my short legs could take me. I ran and ran, not stopping for anything. I just kept dashing away, until I hit a dead end.

I found a boxed in area, with a mossy rock in the middle. I could hear the trainer coming ever closer, and knew I wasn't fast enough to escape. I was trapped, and I was going to be caught. "Perry said that I could start over here, but I'm just going to become a trainer's Pokémon again." I hit my head against the mossy rock in rage, accepting my inevitable capture.

But, as I finished my rageful attack of the rock, a small hole in the wall behind me fell away, revealing a passage. I quickly ran in, hoping to escape the trainer. As I ran in, the hole closed, enveloping the passage in a gripping darkness. I continued to walk down the sloped passage, until the slope became steeper, too steep to stay on, and I slid down. Once I hit the bottom, I began to look where I had landed.

I was in a cave, with lanterns on strings lining the walls. It had a door in the far wall, and the entire room was lined with wooden beams. I was so engrossed with the mine, that I failed to notice a creature scurrying through the shadows. I only saw it when it grabbed me by the neck, and lifted me into the air.

Who are you, and why have you come here," the flying scorpion creature asked me. "I'm T-Terra, and I found t-this p-place on ac-accident," I choked, the creature's claw gripping my neck tightly. "Well, Terra, are you, or have you ever been a trainer's Pokémon?" "Y-yes I was, b-but sh-she a-ban-doned me l-last night." I could feel myself losing consciousness, and couldn't say anything anymore, but only make choking noises.

"Akechi, stop it! You'll kill her," a familiar voice said. The Pokémon dropped me, and I took a few deep breaths, trying to get my airflow going again. Within moments, the Riolu from before was at my side, helping me to breath. "It's okay Terra, that's it. In, and out."
