ROLLING UP TO the scene, the Loser's Club were shocked to see Mike Hanlon on the floor with an extremely pisssed off Henry Bowers hovering above him. Mary pushed a few branches out of her way to get a better look at the fight. Behind the quarreling two, sat pieces of meat sitting on the ground, and Bower's entourage encouraging their leader. Mary recalled how Mike's family delivered meat to restaurants and other shops.

Henry reached to the floor, and picked up one of the many rocks that laid on the ground. As he lifted his arm up, about to crash the stone onto Mike's head, but Beverly acted before he could. Mary watched as her best friend threw the pebble as hard as she could; it hit Henry directly in the head. "Let him go, Bowers." Mary yelled out furiously with her arms crossed.

"Nice shot." Stan muttered as the rest of the group caught up to the two girls. Henry shot them an irritated glare before releasing Mike from his grasp. The wounded boy then crawled his way through the stream that cut the two groups in half.

All of the Loser's Club now stood across from Bower's Gang with scowls on their faces, and rocks sitting in their hands, ready to fire.

"You losers are trying too hard." Bowers called out while slowly approaching the edge of the bank. "She'll do you. You just gotta ask nicely. . . Like I did."

Mary rolled her eyes with a grimace, and was about to snap back with a sarcastic comment, but Ben beat her to it. He let out a loud roar, and then threw the stone in his hand as hard as he could. The rock flew, and grazed the top of Henry Bowers's head. "What the fuck?" The teenager muttered as he stumbled back into his friends for support.

Beverly then took her rock, and began to engage in rapid fire with all of the other Losers following suit. Richie had the liberty to yell out, "Rock war-" While simultaneously getting hit in the head by a stone.

Mary threw as many rocks as she could at those across the stream. Memories flooded back of the times she was harassed by Henry and his goons, as well the times when they pressured her brother into doing whatever they wanted. He never was a strong minded one. She was glad he wasn't there. She didn't know how she would explain her and Beverly getting mixed up with the Loser's Club.

Whenever the Harrington girl would be hit by a stone, she would grimace and let out a small grunt. Mary was proud to say that she was pelted less than she would pelt others.

The rock war waged on for a while longer. By the end, Henry was laying on the floor, beaten and alone. The other members of his gang had left him while getting smacked with pebbles. The Losers club stood there, ultimately satisfied with their aiming accuracy.

Slowly, when Bowers proved to no longer be a threat, the Loser's Club began to leave the scene after regaining their breaths. Mary stepped up to the rocks that met with the water, but dared not to get her vans wet. She shouted, "Fuck you, Bowers!" While simultaneously sticking up two middle fingers at the teen laying across the stream.

She then followed her friends up through the thick brush. Behind her, Richie stood by himself. He yelled out, "Go blow your dad, you mullet-wearing asshole!" Then while also sticking up two middle fingers, he followed his companions.

"Nice one, trash mouth." Mary smiled while offering a high five to the boy.

Richie grinned in response, while accepting her offer.

The Loser's Club trailed down a path in a grassy field in the out-skirts of Derry, shortly after their rock fight. "Thanks guys, but you shouldn't have done that." Mike called out. "He'll be after you guys too now."

"Aw, no no no, Bowers? He's always after us." Eddie replied while leading the group.

Bill agreed, "I guess t-t-that's one thing we all have in common."

"Yeah, homeschool. Welcome to the Loser's club!"

WHEN MARY ARRIVED home that night, it was a quarter past six. Her mother was in the kitchen preparing dinner, with the help of Andrew. Her father was in the living room with his reading glasses on, and papers sprawled out in front him. "Glad you made it before the food is ready." Daniel said with a smile as his eyes followed his daughter try and sneak up the stairs. "Go get washed up. Dinner will be ready soon."

The Harrington girl nodded her head before continuing up the steps, and into the bathroom. She leaned over the sink, and let out a loud sigh. Slowly, her eyes started to trail down to the wound on her leg. The bleeding had finally stopped, and the cut had finally seemed to be healing.

"Mary! Dinner!" Andrew called from downstairs.

She replied with an "okay!", before quickly turned the faucet on, and washed her grimy hands. However, when Mary was drying them, something caught her eye through the mirror. Behind her, the shower curtain was only partly open, and exposed most of the tub. What she noticed was a white face with yellow eyes staring back at her from behind the drapery. His hand was holding onto the soft fabric that was only showing off half of his features.

Her heart dropped into her stomach as she slowly turned to face her nightmare come to life. The clown's smile only grew as the two became face to face with each other. Mary's bottom lip began to quiver as her hand frantically searched for the doorknob behind her. Slowly, the clown had begun to step outwards towards the girl, and all Mary wanted to do was scream. She remembered how her family didn't believe her before, so they most definitely wouldn't this time too if they found her bawling in the bathroom.

"Hi Mary, I'm Pennywise!" The clown then stated with a menacing giggle soon following. Mary's eyes widened before turning around completely to find the doorknob. Her back was exposed to the creature, and in the corner of her eye, Mary could only see him getting closer through the mirror. "Come float with me." He sneered just as the girl managed to unlock the door, and throw it open.

She then raced down the stairs as fast as her legs could take her. The Harrington family stood in the kitchen with their plates full of food, and confused looks when their eyes fell onto the young girl. Mary, now knowing that she had to explain herself, stammered out, "I saw a s-spider."
