Cold air could still be felt, it was day five of winter and the days were getting worse, the fur on the wolves prickled outside, the morning cold air froze the prey in a cave. Kanobe was asleep in a cave, the little grey wolf woke up to the freezing cold air, there was a red wolf and a blue wolf talking in the clearing under a frozen tree, Kanobe walked out of the cave, she was curious and walked up to them, the wolves spotted her. The red one grunted and turned away the blue one came up to Kanobe "I'm sorry about him" she said Kanobe looked at the wolf and sniffed her forcing her to reveal her wings, Kanobe did the same to reveale a red, blue, white, green and black mark, the blue wolf looked in shock "anyways I'm Tsunami" the blue wolf said "what's yours?" She asked "I'm Kanobe" Kanobe replied looking dull. "Kanobe!" Kanobe!" Emerald called rubbing over to Kanobe and picking up her with her jaw, thankfully Kanobe and Tsunami were able to hide their wings in time, Emerald took Kanobe to a forest close to the edge of the pack "go play" Emerald urged her, pushing her into the forest clearing, Kanobe ran off to play.

Emerald walked into a cave where her sisters were waiting "we've been waiting" said Diamond "I'm sorry" Emerald replied "it's alright" Ruby said, that happiness always in her eyes "anyways... we have a crisis" Diamond said, her fur splitting in the cold air, her face more pale white than normal, her body limb, Diamond continued "we are running low on food and we won't make it through winter like this, the prey has gone missing" "what will we do?" Pearl said, her eyes widened with curiosity "we will have to move" Diamond replied sadly, everyones faces lit up with shock "we can't take everyone!" Amethyst shot back "that's why we will have to leave some behind..." Diamond replied "we can't to that! It's dangerous in the winter!" Sapphire protested "I'm sorry... this meeting is over..." Diamond said, getting off her hard cold makeshift stove chair, she started to walk out.

Diamond reached Phoenix and Tsunami "could you two do an errand?" She asked "yeah...sure...I guess..." Phoenix replied "I need you two to go find the finest berries in the forest" Diamond said, she sent the two pups off and told everyone to five to the snowy clearing "we are moving!" She announced, getting everyone ready, "where's Kanobe?!" Emerald called looking for her "is this her?" Asked a grey wolf handing Emerald Kanobe "oh thank you!" Emerald replied gratefully running off to join her sisters at the front of the line, everyone here were grey wolves so it was hard to tell who was who, there were fifteen wolves in the line ready to go but Phoenix and Tsunami weren't there "where are they?" Emerald wondered, her thoughts were interrupted by her sister "let's go!" Diamond announced, leading the line with her sisters "they will cone, I'm sure of it" Emerald thought, running off closer to Diamond.
