*Riddhi Pov*

"It feels good to be back home." I mumbled helping Dad into our home and he smiled hearing my words.

"It feels good for us too. It was not home without you." Mom said, placing the Aarthis aside and helped me.

"I will sit here for some time." He asked and made us sit on his relaxing chair.

"I will come later." Uncle said, nodding at Dad and walked outside the house.

"I will just be back." I said and rushed behind Uncle to stop him.

"Uncle!" I said calling him and he stopped near the gate.

"What is it, Riddhi?" he asked frowning.

"I don't know how to say this, Uncle. But my Dad is lucky to have you as his friend." I replied to which he laughed.

"I thought he told you about our friendship details. Anyway, I am lucky to have him as my friend more than him. Your Dad really loves you, Riddhi." He said rubbing my hair and walked away.

"So, do you want to eat anything?" I asked smiling at them.

"Why don't you sit here?" he asked gesturing me near the stool we place near his chair.

"What is it, Dad?" I asked him frowning.

"We didn't know that Shiv's parents to let him leave in anger. His Mother told your Mom last week when they visited." Dad started saying with a frown.

"They were angry only for six months and then they came to meet him." I said looking away.

"How did you both managed those six months and how did you managed these last six months even without his support?" Dad asked holding my hand.

"What is the need to know about them, Dad? Everything is fine now." I said frowning at him.

"Tell us!" Mom too insisted.

"We both worked in part-time and he already brought the money from his home. And after the break-up, I started working on my own full-time during holidays in a supermarket and night shift at Café where I am living." I explained not hiding a detail.

"How much burden you got on your shoulders because of our stubbornness? Will you forgive us?" Dad asked with tears.

"Dad! Please don't talk like that. You don't know how happy I am right now. Let's just don't spoil that." I replied, to which he nodded and hugged me along with Mom.

"Did you both separated because of non-acceptance from us?" Dad suddenly asked when I stood up.

"Not at all, Dad. If that didn't happen now then it would have happened later." That's all I said before walking inside the kitchen.

"So, what are you going to do about the part time job while staying here for the holidays?" Mom asked when we were having our food.

"I called the manager Uncle and took permission." I replied smiling.

"We are really happy that you will be here for the holidays." Mom said smiling at me.

"After six months I will stay with you both completely." I said smiling back.

"Then what about job?" Dad asked frowning.

"Don't worry, Dad! I will choose some from here only." I replied assuring him.

"Don't neglect those things at all. You worked too hard from the time you are a kid and you shouldn't leave all those." Dad instructed and I nodded smiling.

Thank you god! For returning all this happiness to me! I thought closing my eyes and finished my food.

*Shiv Pov*

"What is your problem, Shiv? Don't you know how to enjoy at all? Always sitting lost in your thoughts. Don't make me question why am I even dating you." I stared at Sailu in shock, surprise and everything making me frown at her in the end.

"Yes! I am lost in my thoughts because I don't think we should date at all." I said to which she gasped before glaring at me.

"You know what? Get lost!" she said, glaring at me and walked away while I sighed rubbing my head.

"Dude! Do you both need to create such a scene on the reopening day of the college? And do you both really think we didn't have enough of all these during the holidays?" Charlie asked standing beside me.

"You tell me, Charlie. She is always talking non-stop about Jim and Lisa wedding to which she is feeling sad that she didn't know until everyone. Why would they tell her? She didn't talk anything else other than that." I said shaking my head.

"And you didn't think anything except about Riddhi." He commented, to which I closed my eyes.

"Why are you creating disturbances like these? If you really want Riddhi then go to her and make us live in peace. It is not like Sailu loves you." He said rolling his eyes and walked away.

Is it that simple to do? I thought frowning and glanced towards the gate to see Riddhi and her friend walking inside the college laughing.

"So, you had best holidays?" Rose asked her grinning.

"I can't express in words how happy I am." Riddhi replied grinning.

"Ahh! They are here." Sailu suddenly shouted rushing towards me and jumped in excitement.

"Who?" I asked her not looking away from Riddhi.

"Jim and Lisa!" she replied and I glanced behind Riddhi to see two people walking inside the college.

"How do you know that they are those?" I asked her frowning.

"Lisa's wedding ring and engagement ring was printed in the magazine." Sailu explained and she dragged me towards them in a rush.

"Jim! Lisa! I am Sailu and my father is a close associate of your father, Jim." She said introducing herself making me frown.

"Great!" Jim said smiling and looked behind us.

"There she is!" he mumbled to Lisa and they excused themselves and walked more inside calling Riddhi's name.

"We were worried that you wouldn't be here today. How is your father? Is he fine?" Lisa asked Riddhi.

"He is completely fine. It was a small stroke." She replied, smiling at them.

"By the way we are throwing a reception tomorrow for all the people. Everyone will get message, but we want to invite you personally. As you are the one who know about our wedding after our parents right?" Jim said laughing which Riddhi returned.

"What?" Sailu screamed from beside me.

"I will be there." Riddhi assured them and introduced Rose after which they both left.

"Oh my god! They are like our local celebraties and you know them?" Rose asked screaming.

"Yeah! If not for them then I wouldn't have any sources to go to India and reconcile with my parents. I am forever in debt to them." Riddhi replied and I walked enar to her.

"What happened to your Dad?" I asked when I reached near to her.

"Just a stroke." She replied frowning at me and turned to walk away but I stopped holding her hand.

"Why didn't you tell me? I would have come right?" I asked her frowning.

"And who are you to me? We are nothing to each other now, Shiv." She replied taking her hand away and walked.

No! I will not be nothing to you. I can't bear to be that for you no matter what. I thought nodding to myself.

"Why are you always behind her?" Sailu asked glaring at me.

"Do you love me, Sailu?" I asked to which she shook her head in negative.

"But she did and will do it again." I replied hoping inside the same.

"And you love her?" she asked laughing before walking away.

"Get ready for tomorrow's reception. We both are still dating if you forgot." She added turning back and walked away.

No! I can't close my eyes and do everything from now on. I did a mistake leaving someone like Riddhi in the first place. It doesn't matter how Sailu is or not but I can't bear to be nothing for Riddhi.

I realized how much I love you staying away from you, Riddhi. I will do everything but I know you will not like if I hurt another girl.

I will deal with Sailu softly and then I will beg for forgiveness near you. I thought, nodding to myself.

I will talk to Sailu tomorrow after the party! I decided before walking towards our class and saw Riddhi and Rose talking to each other laughing.

I will do everything that it takes to make you forgive me and then we both will be happy again like before. Like I never was without you in my life.

"What?" Rose asked, frowning and which Riddhi followed.

"Nothing! It's nothing!" I mumbled, walking away and talked to myself to wait at least until tomorrow party.

"We need to talk!" I said when Sailu leaned against me not being able to wait until then.

"I am really busy for the preparations for tomorrow to decide what to wear and everything. We will talk later." She said smiling and continued to search for a dress on the phone.

Then after party it is! I thought nodding to myself and tried to concentrated on the class but the mind was on what to tell her to make her understand.
