*Riddhi Pov*

"Can I please know which room is the patient..." I was still in the middle of the question, but then saw a familiar person walking towards one room in a corridor.

"Thank you!" I said in a rush before walking towards the person who is shaking a little.

"Mom!" I mumbled, standing behind her.

"Riddhi?" she immediately asked, turning back and stared at me in shock.

"How is Dad?" I asked feelings cared to even question that.

"He is... he is... Oh Riddhi." She said and hugged me to her before she started crying making me cry back holding her.

"Don't cry, Riddhi! He is fine now and is under observation." She assured me, but we both just cried.

"I am so sorry, Riddhi." She said repeatedly.

"It's ok, Mom! Everything just happens." I said, trying to control my crying.

"Excuse me, Madam! We need some signatures." We heard a voice hearing, which we both stepped back and I looked down to clear my face while she started signing the papers brought to her.

"Can I meet Dad, Mom?" I asked, glancing at her when she finished signing.

"The meeting time is over, Riddhi. We have to wait a few hours." She replied sadly and I nodded understanding the rules.

"We will go to the canteen." I said which we both need with the way we both cried right now.

She nodded and we both walked towards the canteen and sat at a corner table ordering some coffee and a light food.

"Is that guy with you?" Mom asked the moment when we got our order.

"No! We... we are not together anymore." I replied staring at her knowing that I can't lie to her and keep some secret regarding this matter.

"Oh! Why?" she asked with a surprised look.

"He... he met someone better than me and we separated before summer." I replied taking a sip from the coffee.

"Were you two... I mean were you two too close?" she asked reluctantly.

"Yes!" I replied, staring at her.

"You must be really hurt by all this." She mumbled to which I gave her a small smile.

"I will be completely fine, Mom. Do not worry about me." I said, assuring her.

"You have a special permission to meet the patient." I heard a voice and immediately rushed towards the ICU and entered it to see Dad.

"Dad!" I whispered, looking at him lying on the bed asleep attached to a small machine.

"Dad!" I mumbled again to which the nurse gestured me not to talk and I nodded, but sat down beside him on the stool.

"Please wake up soon, Dad." I mumbled before leaving the room when I was told that the meeting time is over for now.

"I am sorry, Mom! I just left you in the canteen." I said when I saw her sitting on the chair near to the room.

"It is ok, Riddhi. Someone helped me to here." She said, assuring me and I sat beside her.

I placed my head on her shoulder and held her hand, hoping that Dad wakes up soon. I just can't take it anymore seeing him like that.

"What actually happened, Mom?" I asked her brushing my tear away.

"After you left, he again got into normal food instead of healthy which you suggested. So, his gas just increased and caused the small attack." She explained.

"Let him wake up, I will scold him." I said, shaking my head to which she gave a small chuckle.

"We missed you too much, Riddhi." She suddenly said and I held her crying.

"Me too, Mom!" I mumbled to which she patted my hand.

"Riddhi!" we heard a voice and looked up to see Girish uncle rushing near to us.

"How is he now?" he asked and we explained the condition after which he walked away saying he will talk to the doctors.

"Riddhi! How is your Dad? We just got to know." We heard another voice and I looked up in shock to see Shiv's parents rushing near to us.

"Uncle? Aunty?" I asked in a surprise while Mom frowned at them.

"They are shiv's parents." I explained and she looked at me with surprise.

"He is fine now, Aunty. But he needs to be put under observation." I explained walking near to her.

She brushed my tears away, nodding and then asked "Shall I call, Shiv? You would need someone's support to be here, right?"

"Aunty! There is no need for him to know and I do not wish for him to know." I simply replied to which she nodded understandingly.

"He is just stupid to leave a gem like you." She said hugging me and Mom held my hand standing beside me.

"We really wish for him to get well soon. But if you need anything at all then please let us know." Uncle said and we nodded.

They both left after a few minutes and mom is still looking at me in surprise making me frown at her.

"What happened, Mom?" I asked, holding her hand.

"You are still in contact with them?" she asked, to which I smiled.

"Not much! But once we became close and it is not good to leave other relations because one of it didn't work out, right?" I replied to which she nodded and we waited along with Girish uncle.

After an hour, the doctors checked him and we were told that he will be shifted in the evening to another room. We can meet him freely there, but not now.

"Why don't you both go and take rest in my house?" Girish uncle asked walking near to us.

"You shifted to city, Uncle?" I asked him frowning.

"No! But this is my house." He replied to which I nodded and we both left to reach the address he gave holding my Mom's bag along with mine.

"You go and freshen up, Mom. I have to make some calls." I said when we reached the house and saw that everything is completely disturbed like there was a volcano inside the flat.

"Uncle must be not visiting this house frequently." I said to which she nodded, laughing a little and walked inside the only room which is clean.

I started calling the manager and his family to inform them regarding the situation and let them know I can't do my work at the store and they need to put some watchmen near the café.

"We will deal about those, Riddhi. We just hope your Dad will be fine completely." Café Uncle said and I felt happy before we hung up.

I glanced around and then started cleaning up the flat. It is minimum I can do in the way Uncle is taking care of us.

"Too much garbage!" I mumbled and placed the cover outside the flat where everyone placed before walking inside to see Mom still freshening up but I really have to go to washroom.

I walked inside another room where there is even more items fallen on the floor and walked inside the washroom before getting ready.

"I am making some food for us." I heard Mom saying when I walked outside the washroom.

"Sure, Mom!" I said back and started cleaning the room with care not to throw anything important.

"You cleaned the house very fast." Mom commented when I walked outside the room.

"I became expert in these, Mom. You don't know how Shiv keeps his things and..." I stopped, realizing what I was saying and immediately closed my eyes.

"It is ok, Riddhi! Just because something good didn't settled at the end doesn't mean that all the memories are bad." She said holding my hand.

"I know! But I really don't want to remember them." I mumbled and she nodded understanding my situation.

"Will he wish to meet me?" I asked her nervously when we are walking towards his room returning to the hospital after getting Uncle's call.

"Of course!" she said confidently and we both walked inside to see him talking with Girish Uncle smiling a little.

"Dad!" I whispered to which he looked up and stared at me.

"I know you are angry at me, but I am not going anywhere until you talk to me and become normal. You should be scolded Dad. How many times did I tell you not to eat bad food? I am really not going anywhere and if you want to stay mad you can." I said when he just stared with a blank expression.

And heard some people laughing, making me realize that I am standing at the door with it still opened but ignored their laughs.

"Will you just stand there and look at me or even hug me that I am still alive?" he asked, to which I gave a choked laugh before rushing to him and hugged him.

"We are sorry! Bring that boy too, Riddhi." He said when I stepped back.

"We... we broke up, Dad." I said to which he frowned.

"We will talk later." Mom said when he opened his mouth to ask something else which would be the repeating of Mom's questions for sure.

"You have to stay here for a week and then you can go home. Bhabhi and Riddhi will live at my house here." Girish Uncle said.

"I will stay with Dad." I said stopping him.

"Even I am not going to stay here, Riddhi. I made sure that he will be completely taken care of and we will be informed about his health too." Uncle assured me to which I reluctantly agreed.

"I am not going anywhere until you run on the road." I said, staring at Dad to which he laughed shaking his head.

"Your life is really in your daughter and never make her leave." Uncle said to which Dad nodded.

"She will not go anywhere from me except to finish remaining study." Dad said and I felt so relief inside that I felt like I don't need anything in this world at all.

I am finally with my parents who love me like I love them. And I have an amazing family and friends in California who loves me. What else do I need at present or even at a future? I thought happily.
