Chapter three
As Jinx stayed in the white room with a gray bed. JInx just sat there and then she started shaking as her burns got worse. Smoke came off her body as her eyes turned red as ruby gems. Jinx let out a bloodcurdling scream. As she screamed her room went into lockdown. No one could get or could get out. As the room filled with smoke, a loud bag of bricks fell to the ground.
The doors opened and the smoke left. The only different thing was the hole in the wall going outdoors where the old asylum experiments were held and tested. The building was still up and not run down yet after 10 years. After what happened to Silver in that building, they built a mental hospital that had to be behind the woods of the asylum.
Jinx ran as fast as she could stop the shocks in her body. Jinx's head filled with voices that were telling her where to go. Jinx saw a building and walked to the front doorstep and opened the door. Only whispers could be heard in her head and the building. As if the building had a mind of its own due to the dangers in the building many years ago.
"Close the door behind you," A voice said
"Why?" Jinx asked, trying to see.
"We all like the dark. There's a flashlight on the desk near you," The voice said again, sounding friendly.
"Oh ok thank you," Jinx spoke softly.
"Of course, anything for a friend," The voice replied with a giggle.
Jinx grabbed the flashlight and turned it on seeing rooms with glass and figures moving. Jinx didn't know what was going on and what was in these cages, but something wasn't right. Jinx looked into the cages and there were people but weren't people. They had different appearances than the normal humans she had seen. Jinx put her hand on the glass and a little girl put her hand on the glass.
Jinx kept walking and then she heard someone banging on the glass. Jinx walked to the sound of the banging on the glass. There was a sign that said Experiment 67. He was banging on the glass with blood going from his eyes and going down his face. His eyes were pure purple that glowed in the dark. He was wearing ripped clothes and some scars were visible. He looked up at me and our eyes met. Experiment 67 moved away from the glass and he looked scared of Jinx.
Jinx turned around and no one was there. He was scared of Jinx. Then Jinx's jaw started hurting very badly. Jinx felt bad for the other experiments just sitting there in their cages. When was the last time they ate? This place was old but not run down at all. Jinx continued walking and saw a button to let all of them out. Before Jinx could press the button her body started shaking like crazy just like before. Jinx turned around hearing footsteps and it was a figure walking down the hall.
"Jinx is that you?" The voice said.
"How are you!" Jinx yelled in pain and confusion.
"My name is Experiment 45," Experiment 45 said walking toward Jinx.
"Experiment 45? What's going on!" Jinx yelled and stood up with her flight light on.
"You don't remember me?" Experiment 45 asked crossing her arms.
Jinx shined her light on experiment 45. She looked dead inside her soul and didn't have eyes; they were hollow. She had long red hair, and very pale skin, and the right side of her face was burned. She was about 5'7 feet tall. The same height as Jinx's sister before she passed away or so she thought. Jinx only saw her parent's body's in the crash along with her brother. But she didn't see her sister after Jinx left the car. Did Jinx kill her family or was it all in her head? Jinx didn't think about anything at the time and as she snapped back into reality experiment 45 was right in front of her.
Experiment 45 touched Jinx's face with her cold living-dead hands. Experiment 45 looked at Jinx's eyes as her jaw started to twist and turn you could hear the bones snap. Jinx fell to the floor screaming in pain not knowing what was happening. Experiment whispered something that Jinx would never forget.
"Welcome home Experiment 98," Experiment 45 announced, looking down at Jinx.
Jinx's face broke as blood dripped from her face. Jinx stood up struggling to stand, her body shaking like a bird in a fridge. Jinx looked at Experiment 45 face with black hollow eyes. Without thinking Jinx pushed the dark rusted red button. The glass doors open slowly to the sound of screams and howls. Jinx could hear the footsteps of everyone and Experiment 45 put her cold pale dead hand on Jinx's shoulder.
Jinx looked at her pale dead hand as Jinx's face felt broken. Jinx's bones creaked and snapped. Experiment 45 whispered something in her ear.
"Thank you, sister," Experiment 45 whispered.
"Sarah?" Jinx asked, feeling blood dripping off her jaw and head.
"Jinx," Sarah said, saying her sister's name with a small smile.
"You left us, Jinx," Experiment 65 growled as she rolled her eyes.
"She didn't leave us. She was kidnapped," Sarah said, keeping her cool.
"Yeah for 10 years," Experiment 65 remarked.
Jinx pushed Sarah's hand off of her and walked over to Experiment 65. Jinx looked up at her and slapped her across the face like a baseball. Experiment 65's face was bleeding and always bleed easily like a piece of paper ripping. Jinx walked down to the door to the basement. Sarah grabbed Jinx's hand and refused to let her go down there. Why did Sarah grab her? Was she hiding something? Was Jinx experiment 98? Was Sarah lying to everyone and Jinx? Jinx was going to find out for herself. Jinx pushed Sarah's hand off of her and she opened the door. Jinx went down the first step and closed the door behind her. Her brain hurt so bad like something just stabbed her.
Jinx turned on the lights and Experiments 1,2, and 3 were there staring at Jinx. They all let out a smile. They were the only ones with the truth. Number 2's power was truth to see if someone was lying to you.
"Hello Jinx," Experiment 1 said with a creepy smile.
"Hey," Jinx said, stopping in front of Experiment 2.
"I take it, you need me?" Experiment 2 asked with a laugh.
"I need the truth. I don't need your mind games Jackline," Jinx spoke with sarcasm.
"About who you are?" Experiment questioned.
Experiment closed her eyes and held Jinx's hand. Then Jackline opened her eyes and spoke.
"Number 4?" Jackline asked letting go of Jinx's hands.
"How did you know?" Jinx asked with a laugh.
"You're the leader we trust you," Experiment 3 said bowing down to Jinx.
Jinx turned back into herself as blood dripped down her head from the wall. Jinx laughed and she and the other three powerful experiments walked out of the basement and smiled. Sarah knew Jinx found out the truth but will she forgive her or hurt her? Sarah felt her heart sink into her chest. As the four powerful experiments came out of the basement the other experiments knew that they were in the presence of the leaders. The leaders of the asylum and the responsible ones over the other experiments.
