Kat was Jade's best friend ever since elemantry school. She was the one Jade looked to when she was depressed or worried. One would think that she would know the reason of the change in Jade, but she didn't. Jade had turned herself into a bad girl who smoked and took drugs. Who didn't care about anything or anyone. Who flirted with every guy so she could spend her days in luxury. She had every bad habit. But there had to be a reason for all of this. Reason for why she was bad. Reason for why she didn't care.

      Nobody knew that reason because Jade had never told anyone. Even Kat.

       Kat didn't ask because she didn't want to wake any bad memory that had now been sleeping since long. But it was too much now. Kat just had to ask so she mustered up the courage to talk to Jade.
"Jade, I know and understand that you don't want to talk to anyone about this. Not even me but you have to."
"Talk about what, Kat?"
"About why you have turned so bad that you never give a damn about anything?"
"Kat, stop."
"No Jade, you HAVE to tell me. There has to be SOMETHING."
"You won't understand because you have a family who LOVES you and CARES about you. But I don't."
"That's exactly what I wanna know. Why don't you have a family? I promise I'll understand. At least I'll try."
 
       Kat was trying to console her best friend. Jade knew that she had to tell someone about her past to lessen the burden on her head. She had to let someone in on her secret. Why not that SOMEONE be her best friend?
She sighed a long sigh and said:
"Kat, I used to be a really good girl. Actually, the perfect nerdy girl until the day I expressed my feelings to my parents that I wanted to become an actress and not an engineer like they wanted. They were all furious and so they punished me and grounded me. At first, I was afraid and quietened down. But then it became too much for me to handle so I ran away from home. I always parcticed acting when I was alone and so I was confident that I would be selected for a role. Not a lead one of course. So I went to search for someone to help me and then I found this new director who wanted an actress for his  movie. I gave it a chance and acted for his movie. He had told me that he would pay me AFTER the movie gets fully shooted and I was ok with it because I didn't know much about how "behind the camera" things work."

       She stopped for a moment after this like just talking about it gave her nightmares. Kat was wise enough not to push her so after a minute she continued:
"He never paid me after the movie and I never saw him after that. Then one day I found my parents on the street. I thought they would at least ask me how I was because I was, after all, their daughter. But all they said to me was that they were ashamed of me and they never wanted to see my face again. They wished for my bad luck. I was so hurt after that. I started to take drugs and obviously I had to find a job without much education (I was 17 when I ran away) so I didn't have a choice other than getting money by the wrong means. So this is how I turned into a bad girl."
  
      Kat was shocked after hearing this and she couldn't help but feel pity for Jade.
