"Beverly!"

I turn to Evie, catching the sword she tosses to me before running off to kick some pirate ass.

"Hi!" I grin, jumping infront of a pirate, "I'm Beverly!" I bring my sword down against his. "What's your name?" I smack his sword out of his grip, catching it with my free hand before tossing it into the water below. "Gotta run!"

I run over to Jay, fighting off a guy that almost attacked him from behind. "What would you do without me?" I sigh, pushing the pirate into the sea.

"Hello, Jay!" An all-too-familiar voice greets before the sound of boots hitting the deck distracts me from the metal clashing against metal. "Well, well, well." He takes off his hat and I smirk at his messy hair.

Why is he so damn good looking all the time?

"Jay, go help Ben. I got this one." Jay glances at me warily but I glare at him, "Go!"

"Be safe," Jay pats my shoulder before running off.

"How cute." Harry coos, pulling his sword from its holster and swinging it at me.

"I know I am," I grin innocently, waving my sword at him. "we gonna do this or what?"

"Let's go, lady royal." he holds his arms out, "give me your best."

"My best? Oh sweetie, I don't think you can handle that. How about 85%?"

We continue fighting and eventually he overpowers me, slamming my back against the railing behind us. I struggle to keep his hook and sword away from me, grunting as I push my sword against his. "I quite like this position." he smirks, pushing against my sword harder.

"Yeah, I don't think we've ever been so close," I sarcastically grunt.

"Give up yet?" He taunts, grinding his teeth against each other.

"You're gonna ruin your teeth doing that," I scold, "oh and no, but you should." I use the rest of my strength to finally shove him off of me, swiping my sword to grab his hook as I do so.

"Why did the pirate jump into the sea?" I joke, holding my sword over the water.

"Why?" Harry grunts, already knowing my intentions.

"Because I threw his hook to the fish." I laugh, letting the hook fall into the water. "Hope you can swim." I race passed him, not forgetting to stop and place a quick kiss to his cheek.

"Such a tease," he growls, walking passed slowly.

I smirk, running off to Evie. "We need to get outta here." I shout over the chaos.

"I know!" Evie shouts back, stealing a boy's scarf. "Nice scarf, it's mine now."

Jay and Lonnie run off to get the car, the rest of us still fighting off pirates. I finish off a girl, tossing her sword away before turning to see if anymore of my friends need help.

"Hiya!" Harry shouts, stabbing the ladder next to my brother's face. Ben fights him off with ease and I smirk, slightly impressed as I climb up another ladder.

"Carlos!" I grab the boy's attention, "got anymore smoke bombs?"

He tosses one up to me and I catch it, waiting for the perfect time to throw it.

"Don't mess up, don't mess up!" I throw the bomb with a grunt, letting out a victory shout when it lands exactly where I wanted it to.

We all rush out into the pipe, Mal and I stopping at the edge. I frown as my eyes meet Harry's for most likely the last time ever. His hold so much sadness and pain I have to turn and run through the pipe to restrain myself from going and hugging him.

I knew this would happen.

I end up falling asleep the limo ride home, not waking up until the next day.

I sit up in my bed, sighing happily since I finally got to sleep in a real bed. I groggily roll over, my eyes landing on the calendar hanging on my wall. Today's date is circled in blue, a giant yellow star beside it. I frown, slowly climbing out of bed to read the note.

'Cotillion!!'

"Ugh!" I groan, flopping back into my bed. I close my eyes, waiting for sleep to overcome me again.

"You better not still be in bed!" A voice scolds, my door swinging open.

"How did you get a key to my room?" I furrow my brows, sitting up to stare at Evie.

"Magic," she waves her hands in the air, grinning at me. "I brought your dress, luckily you were my last stop so I get to do your hair and makeup!"

"You planned that didn't you?" I deadpan.

"Yep." She nods, "now get up!"

A few hours later I'm stuck in a chair, Evie curling my hair while I paint my finger nails.

"So you and Harry Hook, huh?"

I freeze up, glancing at the girl in the mirror, "what are you talking about?" I play dumb, going back to my nails.

"Don't even try and play dumb, I saw the way you two flirted on Uma's ship." Evie says, letting a curl fall over my shoulder.

"That?" I wave her off, "It was.. nothing."

The girl rolls her eyes, picking up a new strand of hair, "doesn't sound like nothing."

"It wasn't always nothing, but it is now." I shrug.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know," I put my nail polish brush in its container, "I kinda grew attached to him, even though I told myself not to countless times. It's crazy though because I barely knew him, we had like one conversation and all of a sudden I felt like I knew him my whole life. I can't like someone I'd only known for like a day, right?"

"Love has no set time." Evie mutters, "If you felt something then you felt something."

"Yeah, it just feels kinda rushed." I murmur, staring at myself in the mirror. "Not that it matters, I'm never gonna see him again anyway."

"That's true," Evie sighs sadly, "but if he's really the one for you then you'll see him again."

"I guess." I shrug, "are you almost done?"

"No! Now hush and be patient!" She smacks the back of my head before picking up another strand to curl.

"Hi, babygirl!"

"Dad!" I squeal happily, jumping into my father's arms. "I missed you."

"Missed me?" My dad looks down at me quizzically.

"Yeah, when I was-" I catch myself, realizing that my parents didn't know about Ben and I going to the Isle. "doing my stuff for my coronation."

"Oh?"

"Yeah," I mutter uncomfortably, "I'm gonna go find Ben."

And when I do I nearly vomit. "What the hell is this? Ben, how could you?"

Ben pulls away from Uma, his eyes blank as they roll at me. "Mal doesn't love me, Uma does."

"What kind of bullshit?" I sneer, storming over to Uma. "What the hell did you do to my brother?" I seethe, getting in her face.

"I didn't do anything but open your brother's eyes." Uma grins at me innocently, batting her lashes.

I frown, glaring at the girl.

"Princess Beverly?"

I turn on my heel to see my escort waiting for me. "Yeah?" I exhale, grimacing when Ben moves back to Uma.

"It's time." he eyes behind me warily and I know he's wondering the same thing as me.

What the fuck is that mess?

"Right," I nod firmly, turning back to the pirate. "I don't know what you did to my brother, but when I find out you'll be fish food." I sneer.

"Princess, we need to go."

I huff, taking the escort's hand and follow him to the staircase. We stand behind a curtain at the top while Mal makes her entrance. The boy tries to make small talk with me as we wait, but I'm too busy thinking about Ben and Uma to chat. I'm so zoned out appearantly I don't even notice when the escort is snatched from my arm and another boy takes his place.

"Princess Beverly Anne of Auradon."

"Let's get this over with." I huff, stepping out to the crowd. I frown when everyone gasps, my father stepping toward me before being pulled away by a few guards. "Is it the make-up? I told Evie a little bit of highlight goes a long way."

"Beverly Anne, get away from that pirate, right now!" My father orders.

I furrow my brows, turning to the boy beside me. "Pirat- Harry?" I shout, "when did you get here?"

"Beverly!"

I hold my hand up to my father, turning to face Harry, "I'm so confused" I mutter, placing a hand on my forehead. "I mean I'm usually confused, but right now I'm extra confused."

"We're crashing your little Cotillion." Harry grins, leaning down to crash his lips onto mine.

Well this is a pleasant suprise.
