Chapter 3 ✔️
Chapter 3
"Bella!" A shrill voice called out. "Bella! Bella, wake up! Bella!"
I slowly opened my eyes and sat up. Everything was a blur. I waited a few seconds until my vision finally cleared up. Then I saw a red headed girl in front of me, struggling with her arms tied together at her back.
"Where are we?" I asked with furrowed brows, still in a haze from the event that had transpired moments ago.
"That's what I would like to know!" She hissed, frustration plastered on her face as she tried to unknot the rope behind her back.
"Do you have any idea who and why we're being kidnaped?" I questioned as I felt the buzzing in my head grew.
Her actions were halted as if she was thinking of all the possible people who had the intention to kidnap us and possible reasons why they would.
"Amber!" I called out when she didn't say or do anything after a full minute.
"Nothing, I can't come up with anything." She defeatedly admitted. "And if my parents were in any kind of trouble with their business, they would have warned me to be careful." She added.
"I think they're awake." A deep voice commented from the other side of the door. Amber and I stared at the mahogany door in fear, afraid of what was awaiting for us behind it.
"Let's go in." An all too familiar voice spoke up. I scoffed in annoyance, fear completely forgotten and buried at the back of my mind. I was ready to pull my hair out of my head if that douche had not tied my hands together behind my back.
"I think I know who the devil is." I muttered through my gritted teeth.
"You do?" Amber incredulously asked as the door slammed opened. Amber and I looked at the two muscular guys standing by the doorway. Amber's jaw nearly dropped to the floor as she took a long glance at the one and only Prince she had been obsessing over the entire day.
"Prince. Logan. Lacosco." She had managed to utter in her disbelief state. She furiously shook her head then eyed him once again as if she was expecting him to disappear at any moment. "Please pinch me, I think I'm dreaming." She told me, yet keeping her eyes on Logan without batting an eye.
I heaved a sigh and sent Logan a dirty look. "What kind of a sick joke is this, you lunatic jerk?" I questioned with venom lacing through my voice.
"Bella!" Amber gasped in astonishment and terror. "That's not in any way appropriate to speak to a prince..." She reminded me, shooting me a warning look. I simply rolled my eyes at her and scoffed, something I have been doing a lot lately.
"This so-called prince of yours just kidnapped us, Amber. Or are you totally blinded by the fact that he is not the man you and the media thought he was?" I barked angrily at her. Amber stared at me with widened eyes as if I had just offended the living life in her. "Untie her!" I ordered Logan who was watching me the entire time.
"Kyle." He motioned to the guy next to him and Kyle was quick on his feet and untied Amber free.
"Let's go, sweetheart." Kyle ordered politely, holding onto her arm and urging her forward out towards the door.
"What? I'm not going anywhere with you!" She stubbornly said, pulling her arm away from his grasp.
"I just need to talk to your friend, Amber." Logan sweetly informed her. The scowl on her face quickly dissipate and she was once again awestruck by his presence. Amber glanced at me for approval and I nodded my head in response, telling her I was going to be alright.
"Let's go." Kyle repeated and dragged Amber away, closing the door shut on their way out.
Logan took a deep breath before making cautious steps towards me. "Untie me." I demanded, avoiding his eyes at all cost. I was furious at him and I was terrified that I might commit a sin and murder him if I see his blue orbs that only brought agony in my chest.
"Not unless you promise that you're going to talk to me and tell me what's wrong."
My head snapped up to him and humourlessly laughed at his ridiculousness. "'What's wrong?'" I repeated. "'What's. Wrong?.' What's wrong is that you kidnapped me and my friend for the purpose of what? Wanting me to have a civil talk with you?" I accused as I felt my whole body boil in rage.
"If you thought you can come back here, waltz back into my life, and pretend that everything is swell and fine, then you have another thing coming for you, Logan." I bellowed.
Logan crouched down to my level, his eyes filled with anguish and misery. "Isa, please, just listen to me-" He started but I interrupted him.
"No, you listen to me. What happened in the past, stays in the past. And you, you're part of that past, Logan. And I don't need the past haunting me in the present." I informed him and I saw tears prickled in his eyes. My heart ached seeing him in such a state. But I was in pain too, a pain too unbearable that I tried so hard to hide these past few years. I wasn't gonna let someone like him ruin what I had been trying to avoid. "So please, do me a favour and stay away from me."
"I'm not giving up on you, Isa." He determinedly said, causing more frustration in me. "I'm not giving up on us. You can push me away all you want, but I'm not going anywhere. And I'll do anything to take you back. Even if it means having to kidnap you once in a while."

The van pulled in a complete stop and Amber tapped me on the shoulder, earning my attention.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" She asked worriedly.
"I'm going to be fine." I choked out, my voice sounding like it had been scraped on a rough pavement over and over again due to its hoarseness.
"I mean, I could stay the night over if you want?" She offered.
"I'm fine, really." I reassured her and shot her a small smile.
"Okay, but call me if you need anything, alright?"
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow." I said as I pulled her into a tight embrace.
"And promise me you'll tell me everything about Prince Logan once you're ready."
"I promise. Now go, I'm sure that your parents are worried sick about you."
"Okay. See you later." She said as she hopped out of the van. The van pulled away from Amber's driveway and I let out a sigh from exhaustion.
It had been a long day. Logan had only been here for a day but it felt like an eternity had just passed. I was terrified of what he was pulling up his sleeves, I just hope that he wouldn't do anything stupid again like kidnap me. Just the thought of the extent he was willing to go in order to speak to me was insane. I hope he didn't get in trouble for his foolish actions.
The van stopped in front of my old apartment. I got out and thanked the driver before he drove away. I ran up to the third floor where my unit was and went straight to my room. I plopped myself down the bed, slipped under the covers, and waited until my eyelids drooped and let fatigue took over me.
