Chapter 7
Rushing into the basement, I quickly ran up to Meadow and flipped her on her stomach.
"I'm going to go in my room and watch TV." Dad said. I rolled my eyes at my Dads behavior.
"It's going to be alright Meadow. Your going to be fine." I soothed her. Cliff came walking downstairs, stopping in his tracks.
"What?" I asked him. He gulped and pointed at the two quickly forming wings.
"Her feathers are white." He said. I looked at her feathers. They are white!
"Woah! Maybe it's like a, ranking or something. I mean, we have black wings, so that can mean that we were the two originals. Her white wings, probably mean that everyone else are going to have regular bird colored wings. Like brown, grey, white, and black!" I exclaimed. Her wings were forming quickly. I could tell that in about thirty minutes to an hour, her wings would be fully formed.
"Maybe. Is there anything else we can do?" He asked.
"No. We just have to wait it out." I said.
Cliff and I picked her up and put her on the rug, so she can be Changing on a soft surface. Cliff and I sat on the couch, watching her.

She finally stopped screaming. The only bad part, she is out wcold. Snoring, Cliff and I carried her upstairs, her head almost hit the stairs. We set her on one side of my bed. Cliff and I hugged goodnight and he went into his room. Turning off the lights, I climbed into the other side of the bed and let my wings sprawl against the bed, as I fell to sleep on my side.

I woke to the sound of a squeal. Pushing myself up, I looked at Meadow and saw her fan girling over her wings.
"Dude! These are awesome! I love the fact that they are white! So then I can dye them any color I want!" She exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and laughed.
"Your wings are really pretty." I said. She grinned at me. We were on our knees on my bed, our wings sprawled out behind us. She hugged my neck.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" She exclaimed, pulling back from the hug. I grinned at her.
"No problemo. Now you have to learn how to move them correctly." I said. She grinned.
"It may be easier because your older." I said, moving her wing out, hearing a pop. I moved her wing back in and folded it against her back.
"Try and do that." I said. She nodded and did it with her other wing. A pop was heard and she folded her wing neatly on her back.
"It feels cool. Weird, but cool." She said. I smiled at her.
"Yep! Now open them, close them, and fold them against your back." I said. She nodded and did what I told her.
"Cool. Does it feel like you can do that without thinking?" I asked her. She nodded.
"Yep." She said while doing it. I smiled.
"Now time to learn how to fly!" I exclaimed. She smiled. I got Cliff and explained that I needed his help to teach her how to fly.
"Okay, why not? Meadow, you will love flying like River and I." Cliff said. I nodded my head and we ran outside.
"Alright, you are going to do this." I said, using a quarter of my strength to get eight feet high, flapping to stay that high. They looked smaller while I was up there.
"Okay, uh, how?" She asked me. I rolled my eyes.
"Start flapping dummy." I said. She blushed and started awkwardly flapping her wings, getting about two feet high.
"Woah! I'm taller!" She exclaimed, before falling on her butt. I burst out laughing and lost my balance mid-flap, almost falling.
"Heh heh." Cliff chuckled. I closed my wings and dropped, doing some sort of a summersault.
"Here. I'm going to massage your wings. Maybe it will help." I said, massaging her wing. Cliff started massaging her other wing. Once we stopped, she started flapping once again and getting about five feet high.
"Woah! You guys look like ants!" She exclaimed, flapping slightly to keep at that height. I chuckled.
"You should see what it's like when you are higher." I said. She gasped, falling slightly.
"That would be so cool!" She exclaimed. I laughed and we continued practicing.
