Taehyung's POV
"Kim, come here," Soros said, using a finger to point to where he wanted me to go. I smiled at my friends, jogging towards the god I could truly call my father, using my water magic to boost me into the air. He hummed, arms crossing over his chest, a smile is seen across his face.
"Meet me at my palace an hour after dinner. Don't bring anyone, not yet." I nodded, standing on his palm, which he extended, my eyes scanning over him. "Will do. Any particular reason?" He shrugged carelessly, smirking a bit. "I suppose you'll find out when you get there, hm?"
I rolled my eyes, arms crossing over my chest but my smile never falling. I was set back down, my friends waiting for me by the rest of the gods. We were teleported to the room we first met in, one month ago, the room with all the thrones. Soros appeared in the back corner, taking a seat on his dark throne and giving me a thumbs up.
The Elementals and I joined hands in the middle, forming a circle, each of us standing by our element. Jungkook squeezed my hand, flashing a quick smile then turning to face Smoldris. I glanced at Glacius and Drift, watching as they were beaming with joy, smiles huge and bright.
"Elementals," Illume said, catching our attention and quieting everyone down, "today, you have officially completed your training. Today marks a very important day, not only for us gods and goddesses but for you seven as well! Tomorrow marks the start of your new life and adventures, ones filled with danger but also fun."
"You seven have successfully completed our training. We've pushed you as far as we could. We've seen you stumble but never fall. We've watched you grow from independent human beings to ones who know nothing but teamwork. We've seen the care you have for each of your fellow friends, and we're glad to have had a chance to experience that."
"We've watched you grow, seen you push yourselves to the breaking point, only to keep going the next day. We've faced the feeling of joy and being proud of you seven, something we gods didn't think we'd ever get the chance to see." I smiled, glancing at my gods, all of them.
"You've formed bonds with us as we have with you, and I think I speak for my fellow gods when I say that we consider you our children rather than our students." I found Soros' eyes, seeing him nod slowly, the dark magic surrounding him.
"So, today, to show you just how grateful we are to have had this opportunity to spend with you Elementals, we'll be giving you a very special gift." My eyebrows raised in shock, the palace roof flying open, light engulfing the entire room.
Then, we were no longer in the palace we called home for a month, but in the sky, floating above the world. The gods were here too, even Soros, wings forming from their backs, keeping them up. I watched as dark wings of magic formed behind Soros, keeping him in the sky.
They looked majestic.
"Two of our Elementals already have these, but we're granting everyone a chance to experience it." I smiled in realization, squeezing Jungkook's hand, the two of us letting our wings form behind us. Namjoon was first, light magic swirling around him and forming large wings that sparkled.
They were white wings, similar to an angel's wings, specs of light shining on the tips and sparkles swirling around them. I was awestruck, my eyes widening at the sight. Not only were they huge and completely wrapped around his body, but damn were they beautiful.
Illume smiled, giving a quick bow and letting Oria step up, magic seeping from her fingertips. The magic did the same as Illume's, swirling around Jin until it began to form wings. They were gorgeous as well. They were a mixture of light brown and blond, creating almost a hazel color. There were little specs of color that symbolized flowers and everything nature.
They were really pretty.
Next, Spiris let his magic flow, wrapping around Yoongi and creating wings for him. My jaw dropped when I saw Yoongi's design on the wings, my heart racing. Okay, that was definitely cool. When his wings appeared, they stretched out, displaying the design on them.
A skull.
Half the face was on either wing, his wings a mixture of black and white. They also turned invisible. I noticed Yoongi's features might up when he saw it, a smile forming across his face. Hoseok's wings were different, electric shocks flying across his wings. Lightning fueled his wings, apparently.
Jimin's were grey, mixtures of light brown and white seen on the tips. His wings were also the sharpest out of all of ours, blades near his back where the wings formed. Again, I was slightly jealous. When the attention turned to me, Glacius, Drift, and Soros extended their hands, pointing their fingers at me.
Dark blue, light blue, and black colors were sent my way, engulfing my body completely. I was surrounded, everyone disappearing from my sight as the magic formed a barrier around me. I looked down at my forearms, watching as the magics seeping into my veins, coloring my arms and forming tattoos in a way.
My previous pure black wings, which were made of dark magic, were different now, my eyes widening. They were still black, but they had mixtures of dark blues and light blues now. From where they formed in my back, they were made of ice, sharp blades made with the ice magic.
Near the middle was dark blue mixed in with the light blue, creating waves and swirls of the two colors, then as my wings reached the tips, they were black. White stars danced around my entire wing, my eyes widening when they glowed a brighter white.
I looked at my gods, the magic still seeping into my veins. They smiled, taking a bow before me, then taking a few steps back. Jungkook seemed to be awestruck by my wings, his eyes wide but a huge smile on his face. He didn't seem to snap out of it until Smoldris was before him, arms crossed.
"I leave you alone for a week and you're already so helplessly in love." I stifled a laugh, watching Jungkook's eyes narrow on his god, fire forming at his feet. "What am I going to do with you, idiot?" Jungkook launched himself into the air, fire dancing at his fist, delivering a hard blow to Smoldris' chest.
"Don't make fun of me!"
"Not my fault you're easy to humiliate!"
"What's that supposed to mean, Smoldris?!"
"That means that you're an idiot that lets yourself get roasted by a god!"
"Shut up!"
I laughed, watching the two bicker before us, smiles forming on their faces. Jungkook was back on the ground, his magic gone, a huge grin on his face while he stared up at Smoldris. Smoldris, on the other hand, flashed a quick smile and let his palms open up, magic flowing off his fingers.
It surrounded Jungkook completely, a gasp heard from within the magic barrier. We all waited with anticipation, wanting to see what his wings would turn out to look like. When the magic disappeared, his wings opened up, but my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
They looked exactly the same as they initially were.
"They didn't change? What's that supposed to mean, Smoldris?"
The God merely smiled, letting more fire magic dance around Jungkook. "Trust me, you'll discover it when the time is right, but for now, it'll remain a secret." A frown formed across Jungkook's face, his wings wrapping around them as fire formed at the tips of them.
"Don't frown, my dear son, a wonderful surprise awaits you." Jungkook only nodded, letting the frown fall, his lips forming a perfect line. Suddenly, we were no longer floating, falling out of the sky. "Flight practice!" We heard Illume shout, both Jungkook and I opening up our wings and flying freely.
The rest struggled to fly, but we helped them out before they fell too far. The seven of us flew around the sky, admiring the clouds and letting the wind mess up our hair. When our flight practice was over, we went inside for lunch, relaxing with one another. Dinner came in a flash, ending just as quickly.
Then, I found myself reciting Soros' words, instantly teleported into his palace. The portal closed behind me, darkness swirling around my arms. "I told you an hour after dinner." A voice came from the right, my smile returning to my face. "Care to explain why you're here thirty minutes early?"
"Ah, you're not the only one with information to share, Soros."
"As expected from my favorite student. Take a seat."
I rolled my eyes, my smile widening. "I'm your only student, Soros." He made himself visible, a huge grin spread across his features. With a shrug, he responded. "Maybe so, but that doesn't mean you can't be my favorite." I shrugged too, using my ice magic to create stairs.
I was sitting on the armrest of his throne, letting my legs hang off the edge, swinging them back and forth like a child. There was silence for a good minute before I heard a low hum emit from the god beside me. "So, what is it you've come to share?"
I shrugged, letting my emotions get the best of me. "I'm really going to miss you," I mumbled, sadness spreading across my face, my heart beginning to hurt. "I've never felt so attached to more than one person, especially not in a short time span of a month. In this past month, I've not only built relationships with the other Elementals but with my gods too."
"Then what's got you so down, son?" He asked, his voice softer than ever before. "Is going back to the place I once called home truly worth it if I'm leaving behind people I care about?" The question rolled off my tongue with too much ease, the words unable to be bitten back from coming out.
There was a pause, no words said, just the sound of my heavy breathing. "Taehyung," I heard Soros say, darkness swirling around me, a tendril snaking around my waist and lifting me up into the air, "I'll always be with you, as will Glacius and Drift."
"Yeah I know, you'll always be in my heart, but you won't be there," I mumbled, tears beginning to pool at my eyes. I blinked rapidly, trying to rid of them before they could fall. He shook his head, sitting up straighter. "You're wrong. Of course, we're in your heart, but that's not all."
"You seem to forget that the magic you possess came from us, Taehyung. Sure, we tell you to make it into your own, but in a way, your magic is us." My eyes widened at his words. As if on cue, all three magic powers I possessed danced around my legs, arms, and the rest of my body, circling me.
"We are your magic, therefore we are always with you. We're with you when we're feeling down when you're happy when you're angry when you're in trouble when you're fighting. We are with you every step of the way." My flesh was ice now, my arms engulfed in water, darkness encasing my legs.
"We will always be with you. I will always be with you, Taehyung."
My tears fell, my body was thrown right at his. I cried, hard, not caring if my tears stained his clothes. "I'm going to miss you so much, dad." Darkness danced around me, painting my legs black along with my fingers. "Son, I am honored to call myself your god. Up until now, my life never had a purpose."
"And, truthfully, after meeting you, I can now say I've found my purpose." I cried even harder, my tears staining my cheeks as I pulled away. I desperately wiped at the water that fell from my eyes, the streams of oncoming tears never reaching a stopping point.
"You'll never be alone, not again. You have six new friends, ones that'll last a lifetime. You have gods that are on your side, you'll never face the loneliness again, Taehyung." My heart was racing too quickly, my mind swirling. The gods didn't lie when they said they watched us.
"Look at me, Kim. Show me that you're capable of handling the responsibility. Show me that you're the elemental who has made me proud." My tears slowly reached a stop, my magic disappearing as I took a step back and looked up at Soros. My features turned emotionless, my eyes burning into his.
"You're the elemental who possesses three powers. Not one, not two, but three. You've already made history, and I expect you to carry on my legacy." Soros said, smirking widely. "I want to see the enemy fear you, just as they feared me."
"Remember the god who was feared among the nations, the one who was capable of making everyone cower. Remember the god of darkness that trained you to become who you are now." I nodded, excitement building up inside of me. "Show me just how much you are capable of. Show me what you can do when you put your mind where your heart is."
"Show me you have what it takes to carry the title of an Infinite!"
At that moment, all three magic powers burst out of my whole body, blowing a hole in the walls and ceiling of Soros' darkness palace. The stars took view above me, a roar leaving my mouth as my wings appeared and opened up.
"Make me even more proud of you."
I nodded, my eyes changing into a darker blue. Power surged within me and around me, my hands clenched into fists as my heart raced inside my chest. Soros stood, arms outstretched, palms open and a portal forming in front of him. "There's one more thing you aren't quite aware of just yet."
"And that might be?"
With a smirk, he answered. "You may be returning to earth tomorrow, but your home will remain here, in the sky."

Not going to lie, I shed a tear when Taehyung cried about leaving his gods. They're his real family now, his only family beside the other six.
The seven will be returning to earth in the next chapter, but they'll be teleported every night to Illume's palace, where they'll be living.
Therefore, that means they won't be saying goodbye to their gods and the two boyfriends will continue to share a room together.
I purple you 💜
