Jack walked into Apparition; he couldn't wait to get his apparition license, then he could apparate anywhere. Jack made his way to his three friends, each of them waving him over. He picked up his pace, joining them just before class started. Jack silently thanked Elsa again for waking him up so he could get to class on time. As much as Jack didn't want to pay attention, he did. He wasn't too keen on getting splinched when he tried to apparate. Rapunzel and Hiccup were both taking notes, why they would do that, Jack didn't know. Jack took his eyes off the teacher, and started playing with Merida's hair. The curliness of it amused him. He used to play with Rapunzel's, but that was before it was all cut off during Fifth Year.

He was still listening, but it was all slowly being tuned out. Jack heard a pop! behind him, and he turned. He was shocked to find Professor Tooth behind him. "Mister Frost, would you care to demonstrate how to apparate, considering you were paying great attention?"

Usually Professor Tooth was generally very nice and cheery– she didn't look like that today. She seemed impatient. Jack realized he still hadn't responded (which probably explained why Tooth was getting impatient). "Uh... sure." He stood up, walking to the front of the room. He looked over at his group of friends, where Merida was snickering, Rapunzel was giggling, and Hiccup rolled his eyes. He stared at Professor Tooth, waiting for her to give him the cue.

"Picture a place in your mind, preferably this room." Jack pictured the spot right behind Hiccup, a plan forming in his head as well. "Now think of apparating to that spot. And try not to splinch yourself."

He thought of apparating to the spot behind Hiccup. He felt a pop! in his ears, and when he opened his eyes, there he was. Only his plan failed because Hiccup was staring right at him. "Hi." Hiccup said.

Jack ignored him, checking himself, making sure he didn't get splinched. He didn't feel any pain, so he took that as a good sign. Jack looked up at Professor Tooth. She gave him a small smile, "Very good, Jack. Perhaps you were paying attention."

Jack gave her a smug smile before sitting down beside Merida, Hiccup, and Rapunzel. He gave Tooth a 'carry on' hand wave, then he leaned against the desk. Tooth gave Jack a second glance, and carried on with her teaching of Apparition. It was a good thing the class was only twelve weeks long, if Jack could apparate in just a week and a few days, anyone could. Even Jack knew that. Class went on for a bit longer, and then they were soon dismissed.

"You really need to pay attention in class, Jack," Rapunzel said, looking up at him (he was now officially the tallest in the group– which he took pride in). He looked down at her for a second, "You're going to get in major trouble one of these days."

            "I'll be fine."

"Twice today ye've been yelled at." Merida retorted.

"Wait, when was the other time?" Hiccup asked, looking between Merida and Jack.

            "I nev–"

Merida cut him off, "Beginnin' of Charms, Jack here couldn' keep his mouth shut 'bout Bunnymun'."

"But to be honest, Merida– you laughed, too." Jack stated, sneering back at her.

Merida stuck her tongue out at him.

"Child." Jack said, sticking his tongue out at her.

            "Look who's talking," Rapunzel scoffed.

Merida laughed. "Thanks, Punzie," Jack muttered, which made Hiccup smirk.

The four friends made their way to their favorite spot: the Courtyard under the big tree. They met up there all the time; joining up there dated back to Second Year. The year they all came really great friends. They all took their usual spots, Jack deciding to climb the tree and sit in the branches. He reached into a crook in the tree, pulling out a small knife. Nothing harmless, Jack swore he would never use it against anyone. He pulled out his wand; it already had several small marks in it. Snowflakes to be exact, he always liked winter, and it was always what he carved when it came to his wand. He absentmindedly carved a few more into the eleven inch hawthorn, phoenix feather wand. The carvings didn't disrupt the wand's abilities, which was a good thing. Jack stared down to where the rest of his friends where sitting. They were going about archery and books (and archery books). Neither interested him in the slightest, so there was no point in entering the conversation.

Jack turned his gaze back to his wand, twirling it in his fingers. He stopped after a while just staring at it. He hadn't noticed he started to doze off until Rapunzel slapped his leg hanging down from the branch. Startled, Jack lurched backwards, falling out of the tree and landing on his back. He looked up, glaring at Rapunzel. "Ow!" He growled, very annoyed.

Rapunzel stuck her hand out, Jack's wand in her hand. "When you started to doze off, you dropped this. On my head."

            "Sorry?"

She dropped the wand in his lap. Rapunzel looked at him with the same annoyed look Jack had given her moments ago. "Get up, Dinner's being served."

Jack scrambled to his feet, "Where's Merida and Hiccup?"

"Already in the Great Hall." She started to walk away, giving Jack no choice but to follow her. He rubbed his back, and winced in pain.

"Thanks for startling me out of the tree," Jack glared at the back of her head, "I really appreciate it."

She turned and looked at him, her eyes slightly worried. "If you're so worried, go see Pabbie."

Rapunzel turned and kept walking towards the Great Hall. "I would if I wasn't starving." He grumbled, following Rapunzel the rest of the way to the Great Hall.

The Great Hall was definitely a sight to see, probably as good as the Seven Wonders of the World... Put together. The ceiling being higher than anything Jack had seen before. It was also bewitched, the ceiling. At this point in time, it was a clear night sky, stars twinkling as if they were real. Jack's favorite bewitchment of the ceiling was during the winter, when snow fell, nearly reaching his head when he stood. Jack and Rapunzel entered the Hall, and Jack looked up, checking out tonight's view. It seemed that Headmaster North had a big speech prepared for tonight, which made Rapunzel and Jack quickly separate ways and scurry to their House's tables.

Jack squished in between a fellow Slytherin, Mavis, and a red head with sideburns from Durmstrang. Jack knew Mavis fairly well, the two were in the same House and they used to have a lot of classes together. She'd had often tutored Jack for Potions when none of his friends could. He didn't know the side-burned red head to his right at all, but Jack guessed he was pretty tough for being at Durmstrang. He wondered if the guy had ever killed a dragon, the thought made Jack slide over a little more, nearly squishing Mavis more than she already was. He mumbled a quick ‘sorry’ to her, and faced the Headmaster standing before the rest on his podium.

As North stood at the podium, everyone's talking came to a silenced hush. Only slight murmurs were heard in the quiet of the Great Hall. "Good evening, students!" North's voice boomed through the Hall, "Just as a reminder, in throughout the next two weeks, sign ups for the Triwizard Tournament will be held!" Everyone's whispers began, just as they did the day before. North held up his hand to silence them once again, "By the use of the Goblet of Fire–" North pulled out his wand waving it in a circular motion, then a flick. Not to be confused with a swish and a flick. After North's wand waving, a podium slowly formed on the ground, an oversized goblet sitting on top of it. The Goblet of Fire, Jack thought, he looked at in awe. His name was going to be in that cup. His name was hopefully going to fly out of that cup. North's eyes gleamed with the wonder of the students. "–And signups begin... Now!"

Voices rose higher and high in the Hall as the headmaster dismissed his speech. Hogwarts' daily feast began by the rows upon rows of food. Jack reached towards the platter, grabbing some of his favorite foods. Others did the same, their plates filling up much quicker than Jack's. Everyone was talking to each other, making the Hall quite loud.

A tap on his shoulder came from the right side, and when he looked over, Mavis was smiling at him. "Are you going to enter your name in the Cup?"

Jack nearly burst out laughing at such an obvious question, "Definitely, I've been waiting practically my whole life."

"Let's just hope you don't die."

Jack scoffed with a smirk, "Wow, you've got a lot of faith in me, Mavis."

Mavis raised her hands in defense with a smile. Jack, being the mischievous person he was, formed a snowball under the table. He kept it concealed from Mavis until he threw it at her face. Jack started laughing, and Mavis joined in, because Jack's laugh was contagious. Everyone started looking at them weirdly, and Jack shrugged them off. As Jack and Mavis continued to eat, they talked about nearly everything.

During the feast, Elsa sat quietly eating her food. Her younger sister, Anna, was sitting right next to her talking on and on to a Ravenclaw at their table. The other Beauxbatons student next to her, Belle, was talking to another student from their Academy. So that left Elsa with no one to talk to. Other than the Ravenclaw in front of her, but she thought against it, communicating to other people wasn't exactly her strong suit. Elsa kept her gloves on the entire meal, the only thing from keeping her powers at bay. Yes, she was a wizard (or a witch, with her being female). Yes, she could use magic. But she had uncontrollable magic with it. What wizards and witches who didn't know better would call wandless magic.

Then, do tell, why is it always ice? she would ask. They would become silent, and then leave her alone. They'd give her the cold shoulder, which Elsa found ironic. She tended to rub off on people the wrong way, even when trying to be as polite as possible. Elsa blamed her powers for making herself so cold to people (another ironic saying Elsa found funny).

She poked at her food, wanting to eat, but couldn't find herself hungry. Elsa sighed, setting down her fork. She wanted to be unroyal and lean on the table. But knowing she'd get glares from her fellow Beauxbatons student, Madam DunBroch would be giving her a lecture. Even Anna knew better to act poise in the presence of other people.

So instead, she put her gloved hands in her lap. Elsa looked around the room, not knowing what else to do. She didn't know anyone other than the Beauxbatons students, and the one student she met earlier that day. Jack, she remembered. If she remembered correctly his robes had green on him, which would make him a Slytherin. Elsa stared towards the Slytherin and Durmstrang table looking for the white haired boy. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

She caught him talking to a black haired girl next to him. He was sitting next to her and a red headed boy from Durmstrang. Elsa didn't know him; then again Beauxbatons didn't really socialize with other schools. The Triwizard Tournament was the only exception. Elsa kept her eyes on Jack, hoping he would notice her. He seemed to be the only person that would talk to her. One point to Elsa, she thought sarcastically.

Jack looked up when Elsa was deep in thought. She was only pulled out when she had the feeling someone was looking at her. She was correct, and found Jack looking back at her. He waved and gave a big grin. It was a goofy grin, and Elsa almost laughed. She gave him a small smile and waved back.

Anna next to her leaned in and whispered in her ear, startling Elsa. "Who you waving to, Els?"

Elsa gave her younger sister a strange look, "I wasn–"

Anna gave her a sly smile. "Who is he?"

            "Anna!" She gasped.

Anna laughed, "I can tell, Elsie."

Elsa gave her an absurd look, "And how would you know, Anna?"

"Alright, alright. I saw you looking at him. White haired Slytherin boy over there, right?" Anna pointed to where Jack was; who was now talking to the black haired girl again. "Who is he?"

Elsa sighed. "His name is Jack. I met him earlier. Now let it go, Anna."

Anna held her hands up in defense, and smiled cheekily. "Fine, Fine."

Anna went back to talking to the Ravenclaw next to her. Which left Elsa back where she was at first. Anna may have been three years younger than Elsa and only with the seventh year group because Elsa couldn't leave her sister alone. But that didn't mean she wasn't allowed to socialize with other students. Elsa sighed, looking down. The entering for the Tournament would start after the feast, and Elsa couldn't wait to enter her name in.
