"Ms. Winters!" Rebecca called just before Lana entered the lift.

Lana turned around to see Rebecca running towards her, with two files dangling from her frail thin hands.
"Ethan, [Rebecca panted] Ethan Fonseka is calling you [she tried to catch her brethe] so before you start your shift with Liam, visit Ethan and give him these documents." Rebecca said handing the documents, the mean and irritating look back on her face.

When Lana entered Ethan's office, he was sitting on his office chair with Hailey typing continuously beside him on a computer. Noticing Lana, she smiled broadly at her. Ethan looked up at Lana, nodding for her to enter. He went through the file, checking the important stuffs in them. Thanking Lana, he rang up Liam.
Minutes later, Liam showed up. Lana and Hailey left to give them privacy.
Ethan opened the door and called them in. A company get together was to be held that evening, where
they had to bring dates.

I never go to meetings, Ethan. You don't wanna force me." Liam cluched his jaw.

"I can't be going in alone. It's not up to me. You can argue with Bradley over that. I would take Hailey since she can understand how our company works."

Liam sighed and called Lana behind him.
It's up to you if you want to accompany. It's a company meeting night."

Lana and Hailey excused themselves and went to restroom. Lana texted David about the company party and that they will return very late. Returning back to their respective office, they continued their leftover work.

"You don't need to go back.... there are dresses in my home. You can choose one from there."Liam said to Lana, grabbing his phone from the table.
"Oh... okay. But will it fit me? I mean..."
"It will."
After a journey of few minutes through the busy roads of Manhattan, Lana glanced at Liam's house. It looked less of a house.. more of a mansion at the very heart of the city. The golden shiny appearance made it look like a golden castle. The door opened as Lana was welcomed by a group of beautiful maidens.

Stepping up the stairs, the grand door opened wide providing a royal view inside. Lana's jaw threatened to touch the ground as the beauty inside mesmerized her.

The royal hanging lanterns lit the hall way with the winding staircase leading to the next floor. Following Liam up the staircases, Liam typed a password to open his room. It was the master bedroom with a king-sized bed, cupboards and a table. One side of the wall was absent with a huge glass view of the city outside. Liam closed the drapes and opened the cupboard revealing a enormous walk-in closet.

" Dress up and call me. I will be standing outside." Liam left.
Lana went through the dresses...all are of different styles and looked extremely expensive with studded emeralds and sapphires. She felt it difficult to choose one among all the beautiful dresses there. After many contradictions with her mind, she chose a simple golden green gown with lacy borders.

Knocking on the door, a woman entered the room. She bowed as she said "I'm informed to make you dress up beautifully, madam."

~After 30 minutes~
The cupboard door opened revealing a familiar but unrecognizable Lana. Tightly fitted in a bun, the fake bangs covered her forehead, making her look divine and gorgeous in the golden gown fitting gracefully on her. Liam was busy on his phone but the sound of opening of the door made him look up. He stared at Lana speechless, a faint smile appearing on his handsome face.

Dressed in black suit with a grey bow attached in the place of a neck tie, Liam stood waiting for Lana to join him.

Exiting Liam's bedroom, Lana looked at the clicking opening of the door of the room adjacent to Liam's. Hailey came out hand in hand with Ethan. Hailey wore a deep red gorgeous gown with lacy collar. Ethan dressed in chocolate brown suit looked no less handsome than a prince from a fictional story.

Hailey analysed Lana's outfit for a while and finally said,
"You look better apart from your usual octopus style."
"Hey!" Lana pouted, playfully looking at Liam. Liam chuckled as he looked at his watch.

Rebecca walked up the stairs as she fixed her eyes on Liam, ignoring Lana's presence.
"The guests have arrived. Mr. Bradley is looking for you and he wants to see you right now."

"I'll be there in a few minutes. Tell him to wait."
As Rebecca left, Liam took out a small box out of his blazer and handed it to Swetlana.
It had a pearl necklace with a distinct design imprinted on it. She looked at Liam puzzled.
"Return it to me after the meeting."

Lana held Liam's arm as they headed down to the hall in the mansion. Liam looked over the guests who have arrived there. As they noticed him, the chattering and whispering stopped as the room turned pin-drop silence. Ethan followed behind the gorgeous couple as both of them entered the lightened stage.

Rebecca turned on the mic and fixed it at Liam's height. Liam cleared his throat as he looked up at the ocean of people staring back at him.
