It was around eight when Lana reached home. Hailey was already back and was in her pyjamas as she sat beside David watching TV series.

She informed Lana that she requested Ethan (Liam Fonseka 's brother) if he could reschedule the working hours with Lana's to which his response was positive.

Lana tried to smile a little, too tired after her hectic day. She dragged her feet into her room and collapsed on her bed. Eating some cereal, she went to bed early.

~Next Morning~

Lana woke up to find Hailey looking at her intently. Lana rolled back a few inches in horror.

"I stayed with you almost all your life and like childhood days....you still look like an octopus lying dead due to starvation. " Hailey said in a serious tone.

"Would you mind telling me why you want to give me a heart - attack this early in the morning? Though it would have been good so that I would have stayed back ...." Lana murmured, yawning.

"What ? Staying back? Why? What happened yesterday? You looked super tired..." Hailey asked, sitting at the edge of Lana's bed.

"What else? I ran behind Liam to check him in for 5 meetings."

"Oh Lord! It was miserable. But Ethan was really polite. He just asked me to get him a few documents and help him with putting them in the shelves. I sat all day....no work. During lunch, he asked me to accompany him to the cafeteria.  I could feel the jealousy vibes of all the girls present there and...." Hailey ranted on.

"Okay! Okay! Enough....Dont make me regret taking up the job now. Now, tell me...Ethan, huh?" Lana said wiggling her eyebrows while brushing her hair.

David bid them 'goodbyes' as he left for his usual job at Coffee Junction.  The girls arrived in front of the Fonseka Company building. They were heading inside when Lana received a text.

Meet at the parking lot near gate number 5.

Hailey left and Lana entered the parking space underground, spotting the infamous black BMW. Liam sat in the car and gave Lana the list of meetings for the day. She felt relieved when she checked out that he had two meetings that day....which meant she'll be returning home earlier.

Lana looked at her watch...4:30 pm. The fierce sunlight seemed to have waned as the glowing full moon arose on the almost dark evening.

Lana opened the front door, locking it behind her. David appeared from the kitchen and stared at her.

" You're back! Where is Hailey? Shouldn't she return with you? "

" She'll be returning after dinner. Ethan took her to a nearby restaurant and that girl messaged me instead of calling..."

Lana sniffed the aroma in the room and went on,
"What did you make? Smells really good...I'm starving." Lana slumped down on the couch, switching on the T.V.
