"Since now I shall drive you anywhere deal? Whenever you need anything call me"
The memory of Tom saying this before driving off replayed in my head as I sat beside Leah during lunch. We were in a cafe just around the corner from work and Jason with Evan were just a few tables away. I stared at the two while stirring my tea and replaying the memory a few more times until Leah clicked her fingers in front of my face.
"You zoned out again" the blonde rolled her eyes.
"Oh right, sorry, I was just thinking about that Tom guy...why does he want to help so bad?" I muttered, sipping the tea before placing the mug back down on the table. Leah raised an eyebrow at me and crossed her hands over her chest as though I knew something that she didn't.
"What?" I looked at her in confusion, now and again glancing at Jason and focusing on his dreamy looks before quickly turning to look at Leah and hoping she didn't notice.
"If I were you I'd take this chance to date him or something...or help you get to Jason. Like come on he's a guy, he probably knows how to attract Jason" Leah shrugged. I chuckled and shook my head. It was just some crazy idea that couldn't work anyway, beside asking him for help was just...weird.

My gaze slowly fell back to Jason and I sighed dreamily. A girl bumped into their table and yelped, her eyes going wide and her hands grabbing on to Jason's shoulder to keep her balance. I would've been overfilled with jealousy the very second I saw this, but instead the girl's expression reminded me of Leah's expression when she saw Tom.
She looked so...shocked.
"Hey Leah, why were you so surprised when you saw Tom?" I questioned, turning my gaze on the blonde beside me. She placed her sandwich down and her eyes widened as though she remembered something. She reached for her phone and tapped on the screen impatiently,
"Um, he looks SO familiar. I just saw him and for a second felt like I saw his face somewhere...but where" she muttered.

I nodded slowly, glancing at Jason and then at the girl beside him.

He looked very frustrated and tried cleaning his shirt off something before storming out, Evan following close behind.

**********

Back at home I sat by my laptop, curled in my blanket and occasionally sipping my juice while watching the new supernatural episode. I could feel like I could fall asleep any moment, yet it was only morning and also the weekend. Leah would probably march in any moment and drag me out of bed so I enjoyed the last few moments of peace.

"CHARLIE CAN I BORROW YOUR PHONE?!" I jumped when I heard Leah yell from the other room. With a frustrated sigh I shuffled through my bag on the floor and pulled out my phone, somehow managing to drag myself out of bed to pass the device to Leah. The girl stood in the bathroom, straightening her hair and when I came over instantly grabbed my phone, swiping through my contacts with an incredible speed. I raised a questioning eyebrow and crossed my hands over my chest, " Why do you need it? What did you lose yours again or something"

"Wellllll" Leah chuckled awkwardly, placing the phone down on the counter and turning it on loudspeaker. I looked over to see who she was calling and my eyes widened when I noticed the name.

Dialling Tom

" Leah what are you planning again!?" I exclaimed, trying to reach for my phone  but the girl instantly grabbed it and stood on her tiptoes so I couldn't reach.

"We're going shopping and we need a lift!" she yelped, running out as I ran after her.

"LEAH-" I shut up as soon as I heard the male voice on the other end of the phone call. I growled quietly and huffed, sitting down on the sofa. Leah chirped along on the phone while I listened silently. I couldn't stop her anyway. Not without making a fool of myself anyway. Tom was surprisingly nice and instantly agreed. Why was he so...nice? Any other guy would've just apologised, given some money and then just driven away, pretending it never happened.

Within a few minutes everything was decided and Leah passed me back my phone after shoving me back in my room and telling me to get ready. Sometimes I wonder why I even listen to her in the first place. She's absolutely nuts.
