Lunch rolls around quickly. I go to the courtyard where we can eat lunch. I see Asriel over at an empty table. I sneak over to him.
"Guess who?" I ask covering his eyes.
"Ahhh! Rhion!" He laughs as I uncover his eyes. "You scared the crud out of me." I laugh and sit down.
"So, how you doing?"
"Great! I already have two friends!"
"Nice! I think I have three."
"Man! I was hoping to our friend you!" I laugh again. I look up to see the brat, Mya, heading this way.
"Hey Azzy, can you find a fork  for me? I forgot mine at home." He nods and runs off.
"Well, little mouse is friends with a rat," she taunts. I stand up and resist the urge to use my powers against her.
"He's not a rat, and I'm not a mouse."
"Squeak! Squeak!"
"Why you little-"
"Is there a problem here Mya?" Someone asks. I turn around to see my home room teacher, Mr. G, standing there.
"O-oh not at-"
"Because it seems to me you're bullying another student." She looks down. "Come with me." He walks away and she follows him. He turns around and gives me a wink. I wink back as Asriel comes back.
"What was that all about?" He asks suspiciously.
"Nothing, a brat was just calling me names. My teacher will take care of it." I haven't had her in my class all day. I hope that lasts.

The school bell rings for the end of the day. I walk out of mythology class with the girl, Zelda, from earlier.
"So Rhion, where did you live before here?" She asked kindly.
"Oh, my brother Asriel and I have been moving a lot with our parents." I don't lie fully. I hate lying but I'll do it to keep us safe. Zelda smiles. She continues to ask questions about my life. I try to not lie but it's hard.
"Sorry, I don't mean to snoop, it's just I try to learn as much as I can of my new friends." I nod as we walk out. Asriel is running around with two other kids his age. One is a girl with dark skin, the other a boy with tan skin.
"I'm going to get you!" The boy shouts chasing the girl.
"Try if you can fox!" The girl shouts. Asriel notices me.
"Rhion!" He runs to give me a hug.
"Hey there little bro." I ruffle his hair again.
"Something you want to tell me?" Zelda asked the two other kids.
"We were just playing Z." The girl answers.
"Sure you were." She laughs and starts to head of with them.
"I'm assuming those are your new friends," I ask.
"Yep! Their really cool," Asriel answers. He tells me about them as we walk home.
"Homework?" I ask as I place my backpack on the table.
"Nope!"
"Heh good. Cause I'm going to get you!" I run at him and begin to tickle his belly.
"AHAHA! RHION! HAHAHA! I CAN'T BREATH!" He manages to escape me and runs for his room.
"You better not be grabbing your Nerf Gun," I yell running for mine.
"You better believe it, tickle monster!" He yells trying to hit me. I grab my blaster gun based off of Star Wars. Mine has a scope and Azzy has the better barrel. I pull out my toy lightsaber and start deflecting his bullets.
"Cheater!" He shouts and grabs his engaging me in a lightsaber fight. His green, mine blue. As we fight, he changes back into his original form. He smacks me in the leg, making me lose my balance and fall on him.
"Get off me!" He yells.
"Surrender, then maybe," I reply mischievously.
"Never!"
"Alright then." I start to squish him more.
"Rhion!"
"Surrender."
"Fine! I surrender." I laugh as I get off him.
"Okay, what should I make for dinner?" I ask after we've settled down. He runs and grabs the phone.
"I think we should have pizza. I heard about this good place from Midna."
"Pizza it is!" He gives me the name of the place and I go to find the number. A lot of our electronics have been given to us by neighbors who understand we have very little money. Most of it is actually new and in good condition. I find the number of Jo Jo's pizza and order cheese pizza and breadsticks. The deal is, one of us chooses which pizza, the other chooses the side. I enjoy spicy wings but Asriel doesn't so I usually get breadsticks or cheese bread. As we wait, I put in Doctor Strange. Asriel knows not to repeat any curse words that the characters say and both of us are okay with a little bit of violence. The door rings and I grab it. Standing in the doorway is my friend Rosalina.
"Oh Rhion, I didn't know you ordered the pizza," she says nervously.
"I didn't know you worked for a pizza place," I say surprisingly.
"Heh, learn new thing every day. Here's the pizza and breadsticks." I grab money for her and thank her.
"What was that about?" Asriel asks as I come back in.
"My friend works at the pizza place we ordered at." I grab us both two pieces of pizza and one breadstick. We eat as we watch the movie. Our landlord knows I can't make much money, but as this is a good place to live, he gets enough to pay for our bills and I just have to worry about rent. Still, I feel really bad about it and try to save energy and water. Asriel is content next to me. As the movie ends, he's almost asleep. I smile. I'll just have to wake him up for a bath tomorrow. I yawn and shut of the tv. Not wanting to disturb him, I  fall asleep next to him.

A loud crash wakes me up. I nearly jump off the couch.
"What's going on?" Asriel asked as he wakes up rubbing his eyes.
"Stay here," I say grabbing my Nerf Gun in case of robbers, "I'll be right back." He whimpers but stays put. I go down to the hall to his room where the crash originated from. I peer in. A large black creature is on the floor. I can't see it very well, so I turn on the light. It screeches as I turn it on. It has a strange brown mask on. It leaps on me, making me drop my gun. I struggle to get out.
"Rhion? What's going on?" Asriel asks coming down the hall.
"Asriel run!" I yell desperately. Another one leaps out of thin air at him.
"Let him go!" I shout trying to get its attention on me. The one holding me grabs my neck. Something started to burn on my neck and I scream. It felt like someone was pushing hot needles into my neck. The pain knocks me out.

I had a lot of fun writing this chapter. The action starts!
