Tetra stared at the sword that sat in front of her. She herself had been lying in the same position for hours, not sure what to do.

She could still feel Andie doing something down in the underworld, but she wasn't sure what.

Lo was gone. Skylar was gone. Ava and Evyn were gone.

Tetra was all alone.

Evyn's eyes opened slowly. She tried jumping back as Rob's face greeted her surprisingly, but she found that she was chained to a rock. She looked around to see where she was.

A cave. The ground was spewing fire outside. She heard the roars of various demons and the screams of various victims of torture.

"I thought maybe you'd let me out of here some time soon," said Evyn.

Rob scoffed. "Young demoness, you know I can't let you go until I figure out what you are."

"Do we have to do that here?"

Rob turned his back to her and looked out of the cave entrance. "This place is all I knew for millennia before I became part of the command. If there's an answer to your condition, it's here. Once it's figured out, I may have no use for you and then you can leave. Until then..." He turned around with a spoonful of red liquid.

Evyn scrunched up her nose. "Just because I'm a demon doesn't mean I like whatever weird food you have down here." But she morphed into a demon and let Rob feed her the mystery liquid that she'd suffered the past few weeks. 

Their regular food had run out, but Rob found a way to conjure up some "demon gruel", although he never wanted to make clear what was in it. She sighed as the flavor hit her tongue. Sadly, it was delicious.

The heavenly taste reminded her of Ava and she returned to her human state, looking at the rocky ground.

Rob noticed. "Missing your loved one? Never understood the whole romance thing. Which makes it more peculiar that you can love although demons usually cannot."

"I'm just full of surprises," Evyn said sarcastically.

"Chin up, young demoness. Soon you'll see her. I'm going to raid the local bibliotheca to see if I can find any more information about your origin. Stay put." Rob gave one of his signature smiles and shuffled out of the cave, leaving Evyn alone with her thoughts.
