Tetra picked up the Angel Blade and looked into it. The emotion drained from her face as she saw something odd. She could see Hell in it.

"Is this...am I seeing what Andie's seeing?" she asked herself. The brief flashes of purple hair only confirmed her hypothesis.

Tetra's eyes lit up with wonder, as she thought about how this could help her track her other half. Then an envelope blinked into existence in front of her. She cautiously opened it and read what was inside.

"Dear Tetra," it read, "I have told my fellow angels to let you pass through the threshold into Hell. If it is a death wish that you have, what heavenly officer would I be if I didn't let you achieve your dreams. Hopefully you find what you're looking for..." The name was absent.

Tetra smiled half-heartedly and attached the sword to her back. She looked out of the window, seeing the beautiful sunset that Cloud 7 had to offer.

"Let's do this," she told herself aloud as she exited her house, ready to begin her adventure once again.

A bright light flashed, knocking Ava down and causing her to crash into the white bouncy clouds below.

"Get up, half-breed," said Skylar, who was floating above her. "Angel babies can get this done faster than you."

Ava looked up at her with pain in her eyes. "You know I can't control my DNA."

"Should I care?" Skylar's dress made a wooshing sound as she landed beside her. "The longer you take to train, the more angels die in this war. You could be the key to all of our safety and yet you can't even muster more than a simple light-beam."

Ava looked away as tears formed in her eyes. "It's not my fault," she said with a quiver in her voice.

"Get up, Ava."

Ava stood swiftly and faced Skylar with her watery eyes.

"Good," Skylar said. She then placed her hands together and closed her eyes. The air bent around her and bits of light swelled to cover her hands entirely. When she opened them, a handgun made of light appeared.

Ava spoke. "Are we allowed to have...guns?"

Skylar smiled at her, "This is my favorite light construct. I didn't show you it earlier because I figured you might object." She aimed the weapon directly at Ava.

The young angel held her hands up in protest, but before she could speak, she heard a loud bang and was blinded. A few seconds went by and her eyes adjusted. Skylar was still in front of her, gun in hand.

"Only one shot," said Skylar. "One second is all it takes to take a life."

She placed her hand on Ava's shoulder. "You're lucky we can't die in the training space. But we won't leave until you can dodge this. That's how I'll know you're ready."

Ava looked into Skylar's eyes. Her wings fluttered a bit. "Okay, I'll try."
