It was weird.

To think Seokjin could sleep so soundly beside Taehyung after he poured everything to the alpha's lap. He told him everything he knew, about his clan; his father; his mother; his past.

It took a lot of effort for Taehyung to be calm and stay still when Seokjin mentioned about his dark past. Maybe it was because the omega had the alpha beside him, he could spill the truth without shedding a single tear.

Like he was taking a really old book from the bookshelf, he caressed the cover and open the book. Reading it page by page, telling every chapter; every word; so smooth like pouring cold water to the dry ground.

He trembled, hands shaking but he didn't cry. He wanted to laugh actually when he looked up and Taehyung's jaw clenched so hard and the alpha's eyes turned to cobalt blue once again. He mattered that much for the younger man, Seokjin couldn't say any complaint.

Seokjin was afraid at first, he started it a little bit mainstream; 'I was kidnapped and they raped me' of course any alpha would go rampage if they knew something like that happened to their omega but Seokjin was confused where to start so he just said what inside his mind without really considering Taehyung's reaction.

He continued, telling the worst part first because- he didn't know why but maybe it would be less hurt if Taehyung leaves him immediately rather than he waits until the end to be abandoned behind.

His alpha stayed. He sat beside Seokjin until the omega finished telling him that the prince's father and mother saved him; no wonder that the omega respected Taehyung's parents so much. They were his saviours, the one who found him and brought him back.

Seokjin moved to Taehyung's lap when he saw the alpha's eyes turned into cobalt blue, he stopped for a while; kissing the alpha's jaw and went up to his eyes. The older man sighed happily when Taehyung's tensed shoulders relaxed.

"It's okay-"

"No."

"Tae-"

"It's not and never pretend to be okay in front of me," the younger man hissed; clearly annoyed as he snarled, Seokjin nodded. He let out a shaky breath, reaching for Taehyung's hand and the younger man leaned back to the wall. They were renting a room with a single bed, too small but Hani said she just has one room left so they shared a room and it wasn't like they were refusing.

Those people were dead but Taehyung wanted to revive and kill them again. Make it slower, agonizing slow and torture them, the prince wasn't someone who would show mercy to corrupted people like that after all.

Seokjin smiled, Taehyung wondered what kind of sorcery the omega used to look so fine when he told him this story. It was normal, the alpha would hide this story too if he was in the same place as his mate. He felt a little guilty for forcing Seokjin; the omega shook his head, "I can hide this forever until my grave, but I chose to tell you, Taetae."

Simple words but Taehyung was fighting the urge to cry when Seokjin said that, the omega trusted him; that much. The opening is never an easy thing to do, showing your flawed self or worse, your dark side isn't something easy even for Kim Seokjin.

When he was done with the bad part, Seokjin started to open the memories he held so dearly. His mother, the beautiful omega; his father, the strong alpha who led their clan; his people, people who treated each other kindly. The pieces of memories he hid behind, the memories he protected from the darkness.

He didn't know what kind of trap the enemy set because his clan had a solid defence and it wasn't easy to ambush them. He guessed there was a traitor in his clan who set this trap and brought his clan to its end.

"This is the part I want to investigate," Seokjin said, Taehyung put his chin on the older man's shoulder. Delighted in the omega's scent, nuzzling his nose to the soft skin under his mate's ear. Seokjin purred unconsciously, loving the secure feeling and the comfortable scent from Taehyung.

Taehyung hummed, "I will go with you," Seokjin stiffened, his hands stopped playing with the alpha's hair, "I already told my parents and Yoongi-Hyung, I will go for a while from the castle," the omega eyed the travel bags near the door; his bag and Taehyung's bag. He also saw the alpha's sword and the clothes Taehyung's wore were for travelling.

He chuckled, "you came prepared hum?" the alpha whined, burying his face to the crook of Seokjin's neck and he let out a heavy sigh. The omega could smell the distress scent from the alpha, the younger man gripped the older man's arm.

"You don't know how I lost my shit when you were gone," he gritted his teeth; if Seokjin was not hesitating; maybe he would never found this omega. It would never be this easy, to have the older man back to his embrace.

Taehyung didn't know Seokjin's destination if he leaves the border; Yoongi just told him that the omega went to the border but the beta didn't know the omega next destination. Maybe his older brother knew Seokjin was investigating his clan, but at the same time, he didn't know Seokjin would start from which part.

"Where to start?" Taehyung pulled back, Seokjin was closing his eyes; the alpha watched how his mate's eyelids fluttered open and the omega's eyes were changing from brown to crimson. A vulnerable state just for Taehyung, Seokjin was never a person who let his omega off-leash easily.

Seokjin shook his head, "I actually don't know," he confessed, Taehyung already guessed this. Seokjin was just a little kid when the incident happened, they needed to ask the Queen and King; Taehyung's parents who actually knew about this case, "the scroll with my clan's crest is the only clue I have now," he pointed at the old scroll on the nightstand.

If his parents were the one who saved Seokjin then they must be the one who ended all of those rapists; the might get a clue from them.

"We must go back," Taehyung whispered, his hands tightened on the omega's back. A little bit scared that the omega might refuse to go back with him to the castle. He could sense his inner wolf was growling dangerously; urging him to use his alpha side to drag Seokjin back.

He tried his best to hold back, you had no idea how Taehyung really wanted to tie Seokjin and carry him back to his bedroom in his palace and lock him there; for eternity if that's possible, but the alpha didn't want to scare him away.

He snapped back to reality when he heard Seokjin's windshield wiper laugh, his mouth formed into a grin, "what?" he smiled awkwardly, letting out a confused little noise when the omega didn't stop giggling.

"No, it just," the omega smiled fondly, "to think the prince of my kingdom would fight so hard for my love," he took a deep breath. Eyes turned into a crescent and he let out a really; really sweet scent, Taehyung's favourite.

Just when Taehyung wanted to reply, Seokjin kissed his pouty lips, "I feel I'm worthy; that even I can live and accept my love, to be myself."

Insecurities, people might find it annoying but nobody can be confident fully. Even for Seokjin who always said he is handsome to his friends or his junior, who is actually tall and perfect.

To be in love and being loved back, that was Taehyung and Seokjin's dream. The alpha would forever, he remained, utterly and completely and totally in love with his omega, same goes for the other one. No matter how cheesy it sounded, it was a matter of fact.

"Okay, let's go back," Seokjin said; making the alpha cheered in happiness, "I'm curious," the omega continued, eyes sparkling with wonder, "How did you find me?" he tilted his head to one side and Taehyung gave in to the temptation, he showered the omega with chaste kisses all over his face.

"With a lot of help," the alpha confessed, the people in the town; his friends; the lady in the fruit shop; the children from a nearby park or even the homeless near the bridge. Not all of them knew Taehyung was a prince, the thought this man was a mere youngster who loved to travel around the town. They helped him, telling him if they saw Seokjin or not and a little girl with flower crown said he saw the man went to a small bar.

Taehyung smiled, "but mainly because of your scent," the alpha nosed at Seokjin's jaw again, "it was odd but do you know that I could smell your scent even before I hit fourteen? Normally we can smell people's scent other than our parents after our fourteen years old birthday but I could smell you from several feet away when I was ten years old."

The first-day Taehyung met Seokjin, the stormy night and a big warm blanket. The first time Taehyung smelled Seokjin's sweet flowery scent and the omega smelled Taehyung's rich scent; the expensive tea and dark chocolate.

Seokjin felt his cheeks heated up, so it wasn't just himself who could smell Taehyung before puberty hit them. It wasn't normal and he once heard from his mother that such thing was a mere urban legend that just happens if one meet his soul-mate.

The omega bit his lips and embraced the alpha, "I'm sorry," he said suddenly, he caught Taehyung off his guard. The alpha blinked vigorously, shifting their position so they ended up on their side and facing each other.

"This time it's my turn," Seokjin entwined their hands, "I will not giving up too," he closed his eyes, kissing Taehyung's forearm with such care that made the alpha shivered, his heart went wild and his mind became messy; all because of a mere omega, his mate.

Taehyung grinned, his iconic boxy grin with rosy cheeks, "you better keep your words, Hyung," he nuzzled to the sheet under them, "promise me?" he was eyeing the omega shyly, it was scary how sweet Taehyung acts and make Seokjin laugh in the sweetest way but at the same time, he could wreck him and turn him into a mess easily.

Seokjin offered his pinky finger and suddenly they were ten and thirteen years old again, a young prince and his new caretaker who vowed to protect and serve his prince, "promise," he whispered before entwining their fingers.

"My prince!" Namjoon opened the office room harshly, Jungkook got up abruptly from his seat and approached the beta who looked panicked. The beta gripped the prince's vest, inhaling greedily due to the need for fresh air.

Jungkook held his arms to steady him, "what is it Namjoon-hyung?" he asked calmly but his voice laced with wariness, Jimin came not long after the beta; his clothes drenched with blood.

"They are really doing this," Jimin clicked his tongue, raising his hand to tell Jungkook that this wasn't his blood, Jimin was a spy that the West Kingdom used to collect information from other kingdoms. This sweet alpha who could bewitch people easily, thinking he was nothing but a mere servant.

Jungkook looked down, "this is bad, they are famous with their strong army," he bit his nails, they couldn't handle this alone. They would need help from other kingdoms to calm this chaos, Jimin and Namjoon nodded.

"I will change my clothes first," Jimin ripped the scent blocker from his neck and kissed Namjoon's cheek before he left them, "oh also, a letter from the East Kingdom via a pigeon," the spy tossed a brown letter to his prince.

Jungkook caught it, walking back to his table to take a letter's opener. He smiled when he opened the letter, "I know sooner or later they would send us this," Namjoon read it, the beta also let out a relieved sigh.

At least they got good news in the middle of this chaotic situation.

"I know Taehyung just loves Seokjin-Hyung, my best friend would do anything to be with the love of his life."

The crown prince of the West Kingdom went to the royal chamber, bowing politely to the ministers and his king and queen who was in the middle of an important meeting. He walked with such confidence that made his people bowed their head, a perfect candidate for the heir of the throne.

Honestly, Jungkook was a really shy boy back then. Taehyung changed him a lot, that man took a great role in making the younger alpha being this confident. He taught him how to raise his chin and show that you're 'an alpha'.

Jungkook looked down to the map displayed in the middle of the meeting room's table, he moved several stones to a different region of their kingdom. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist after he finished, the minister murmured behind him with a nervous and tight voice.

"We must contact The East kingdom and The South-kingdom as fast as we could," the crown prince said with a loud voice but not shouting, the command was clear inside his words.

The king gripped his throne, eyes darting to the spy who nodded for assurance of this information and his counsellor, "yes, we need to do that as fast as we can; Your Highness," Namjoon kneeled.

"Jimin just arrived this afternoon and reported to us that the North Kingdom is preparing a really large amount of army and judging from their movement; out Kingdom is their first target," Namjoon said, Jimin who kneeled beside him gave a salute as a greeting before he reported everything he saw in the North Kingdom.

Troops of an army.

Not to mention the beasts they could control.

The North-kingdom was about to start a war with the intention to take over the other three kingdoms and mould it into one, ruling everything at once under their feet.

"I suggest to ask my best-friend, prince Taehyung in this," Jungkook said to his parents, he walked to them with his bunny smile, "we can officially cut the engagement too when we meet them," both of his parents eyed the brown letter Namjoon gave to them.

They let out a relieved sigh, maybe if this happened between two kingdoms other than their kingdoms; this would be counted as a betrayal but this time is different. Luckily the East and the West Kingdom hadn't announced it to the public so breaking the engagement could be possible.

"Sure, Jimin," the king called, "send our message to the East Kingdom and the South Kingdom," the king commanded, Jimin gave another salute and dashed to the gate. Namjoon missed his alpha's lemon scent already but he stood tall, he knew Jimin would be safe out there.

Jungkook eyed down to the area that already taken down by the northern kingdom's soldier, he gritted his teeth, "it's a war and we don't have any choice but to play along."

"Tell me"

"If you can turn back time"

"Will you regret leaving me behind?"

"The kingdoms we built together with our friends, you left us and chose that stupid clan"

"I bet your eyes screamed betrayal when your murder said my name"

"This isn't enough, no it's not"

"You left me, and I will make everyone suffer"

"I killed you and your family, your entire clan"

"Now I will take over the kingdoms you loved the most"

"This is my revenge"

A guard came inside, bowing and then offered the sword to a lady with red clothing, "the troops are ready," the lady nodded, smiling softly and she looked just like an angel.

Her wavy hair and her fair skin, she took the sword and unsheathed it, "good, we will start with the West Kingdom," she said, the guard bowed. She eyed the silver sword, the kingdom's crest engraved to the hilt of the great sword.

"We will take them, take the government and kill the royal family if that's necessary," for a second her friend's face, the King's face flashed before her eyes but she smirked. The angel's smile changed into something sinister and cruel, "we should flatten their kingdom if they refuse to surrender."

"Understood, I shall serve under you My Queen."

"The North Kingdom will take over everything, I will rule all of them just like our old dream."

"This time without you, because you dumped me away for that omega and your son, Kim Seokjin; the reason behind our broken relationship that I killed years ago after I killed you, my love."
