(Levy POV)

I was writing the last rune to free Lucy from her chains, as soon as the last purple rune was complete and the enchantment had disappeared. Lucy started to move to Natsu. She put her wrist really close to the dragon's muzzle and the dragon inhaled, fire burst out of the bars of the dragon's muzzle, melting the chains around Lucy's wrist.

"Lucy, are you okay?!" I yelled running to her, by this time the metal had melted off her wrist. I grabbed her wrists, expecting to see severe burns, only for there to be red marks from where the hot metal was.

"I am fine," Lucy assured me. I continued to stare at her wrists in disbelief.

"H-h-how?" I asked her, stuttering in shock.

"No flames can ever hurt me," she told me and then proceeded in having Natsu melt the chains of her ankles as well.

"Doesn't that hurt at all?" Gray asked her, "I can cool down the burns," he continued to say, creating a chunk of ice in his hands.

"Nah, I will be fine, the redness is already disappearing," she told us, showing her wrists to us, her skin was back to its pale color. Natsu pulled his head up to look down at Gray with a dragon like smirk, it looked like the dragon was gloating.

"I don't like that dragon," I heard Gray say, Natsu growled something in return.

"Natsu that's not nice," I heard Lucy tell Natsu, hitting the dragon on the side.

"What did he say," I asked her.

"He said the feelings mutual, Ice Pervert," Lucy translated.

"Why you, Firebrain," Gray shot back, Natsu growled at the ice mage.

"I am not translating that," Lucy said, I wonder what Natsu said.

"How come I can only understand what Gajeel is saying while you seem to be able to understand all the dragons?" I asked her as the two continued to fight pf insults and growls.

"Time," she told me, "I have spent many years with these dragons so I can understand them, don't worry though, give it a few days and you will be able to understand all of them."

"Okay," I told her. The fighting between the fire dragon and the ice mage was starting to get out of hand, so Lucy stepped in. 

 "Now behave Natsu, we don't want Erza over there to come over and stop this little quarrel between you and the ice mage." The moment Gray heard Erza's name he stopped his insults and started to sweat.

"And if you don't stop Natsu, -" Lucy told Natsu, whispering the last bit so that I couldn't hear her. Natsu stopped growling and then he laid down. Lucy turned her head towards Freed.

"How is the enchantment coming along, Mr. Freed?" she asked him.

"It is going along fine, Miss Lucy. May I ask you more about your special runes afterwards?" Freed asked her, "Like if you can fuse the rune types."

"Well, I am pretty sure that you are going to need a mage that uses regular runes and another that uses special runes, because it is hard for a special runes mage to read the mage runes," Lucy explained to him, "But it is a good idea."

"That's good to know, Miss Lucy, now I must get back to work," Freed told her and returned to his notes.

"Can you show me some of those runes?" I asked her, she nodded her head and reached for the bag that Gajeel and I brought in. She dug inside the bag, I heard the sound of something crashing into something inside the bag, and she pulled out two pens, a golden one and a red one, then closed the bag.

"The special runes need a different type of pen, it is like that pen you used for our enchantments," she told me, then held out the golden pen, "This is the pen that I use for celestial runes, it uses a mix of stellanium and stardust for the ink," then she held out the red pen, "This is the pen I use for dragon runes, it uses melted dragon scales for ink."

"How do you get that ink?" I asked her.

"It helps that I travel with pack of dragons, make a monthly trip to Stella, and are a celestial wizard," she explained to me.

"Oh, but what about the dragon territories, are there any dragons that attack you when you head to Stella?" I asked her, trying to start a conversation.

"Well, Natsu is the son of the Fire Dragon King so he's pretty powerful in his own right, and I am friends with the leader of the main dragon pack in Stella. Most dragons don't attack dragons in packs while they are in their territory unless they are causing trouble. The only dragons that they even attack in their territory are loners and artificial dragons," she told me.

"Artificial?" I heard Master ask her.

"Yes, some human mages thought it would be a good idea to implant a dragon lacrima into a human, but when they did that the human with the lacrima changed into a dragon," Lucy told us, I looked at her in shock.

"Why don't other dragons like artificial ones?" Master asked.

"Some dragons think of it as being wrong because they are natural dragons and they don't want a 'fake' dragon in their packs. For others it is because they can't trust dragons that once were humans. Others can't tell if they are artificial and think it is just a loner trying to cause trouble," Lucy explained to us.

"Do you know any artificial dragons?" I asked her, she nodded her head.

"Natsu was raised by his father, he couldn't care less if you were natural, artificial, or even human as long as you don't try to cause trouble. We even got two artificial dragons in our own pack." she told us. "Cobra, Laxus come over here," she called over the two dragons and they made their way over here.

I looked at Laxus and I saw that he had tons of scars all over his body, it was the same for Cobra. I saw Kinana sleeping on Cobra's tail, when Cobra laid down next to Lucy and gently moved Kinana to his side, coiling his tail around her.

"Cobra and Laxus are our artificial dragons. You can tell that they are strong by the fact that they have survived being attacked so many times. Cobra, we asked to join us because he was in our territory and unless he moved, he had to join us, but Laxus, we met him, well I met him after he crashed in a clearing of our territory, he had a habit of going into the territories of very territorial dragons," she told us.

"How big is your territory?" Master asked her.

"From the mountainous areas of the Northeast of Fiore with the flirty Pegasus men to the gulf with the Mermaid mages, to the start of country of Seven" she told us.

"So, your territory is the majority of Fiore," Master asked.

"Yes, but that territory is shared with our parent pack in the mountains," Lucy told us.

"Parent pack?" I asked.

"A dragon's territory is the territory of the parent pack. When dragons are born, they live in the parent pack until they are old enough to join or create their own pack. The leader of the parent pack is the leader of the clan, like Natsu's pack is part of the parent pack of his father, the Fire Dragon King clan. So, when Natsu created his pack, he looked for a place in his father's territory where he could build his pack." Lucy explained.

"So, what territory was that Laxus in?" I asked.

"He was changed in Pergrande Kingdom, and the dragons in control of the territory are friendly as long as you are not in the mountains. Laxus was unlucky enough to be in the mountain regions and he flew around for many years in the Kingdom, and he end up in Seven at some point and he crashed in the forest at the edge of our territory, the Waas Forest I think is what you called it," Lucy explained.

"So, it was a miracle that he made it to your territory," I told her.

"With his injuries, yes," Lucy told us.

"I am finished," Freed told Lucy and he started to walk to Natsu, Lucy got up and maneuvered around Cobra to Natsu.

(Lucy POV)

My mouth was dry after explaining all of that to the old man and Levy. I watched as Freed started to change the runes on Natsu's muzzle, then he moved to Natsu's chains, as he finished with the runes, the purple runes flew off of the chains and then the chains were useless in holding Natsu down. I walked over to Natsu, I reached for the muzzle that held his mouth shut. I reached for the clasp and released the clasp, freeing him from the muzzle, as the muzzle hit the ground, he broke the chains that held him, and released a loud roar.

"We are able to leave now," I heard Wendy chirp happily. I reached my hand out and for the first time in a while I touched his cheek. I was so happy I didn't even realize that I was crying, I grabbed Natsu by the head and placed my forehead against his own. I hugged his head, my arms reaching all the way around. When I remembered that there were others that wanted to say hello, so I moved out of the way as the he and the other big dragons shrunk their sized to the size of a Clydesdale (A large horse breed, used for pulling things like wagons and towing land) and attacked Natsu. Gajeel started give Natsu the dragon equivalent of a noogie (not sure if that is spelled correctly), messing up Natsu's mane, Laxus then hooked his arm around Natsu neck and pulled him into a hug, while Cobra ignored the two roughhousing dragons. After the large dragons finished saying hello, Natsu had somehow ended up on his back and while he was getting up, Sting and Rogue pushed him down again by ramming into Natsu's chest and the roughhousing started again. Finally, after the boys had finished playing Wendy ran up onto Natsu's back, he managed to get on his feet after playing with Sting and Rouge, and she started to nuzzle her head into his mane.

"Hahaha," I laughed after seeing all of the dragons welcome their leader in freedom.

"I didn't expect them to be so rough with him," I heard Erza say.

"Well, even if Natsu was the one who was the least fed, you have to remember that he is still a dragon," I told them.

I looked back at the dragons, and then at the cells, so many painful memories were kept here, and now we can leave this place. I walked over to the bag and I picked up my two pens and placed them back in the bag. I checked the bag to make sure that everything is there: ink refiles check, books check, paper check, money check, old fish for Happy check, kiwis for Patherlily check, old frogsuit for Frosh, new jacket for Lector, dresses for Charla, check check check check, clothes for me check, Wendy's bracelet check, Laxus's headphones check, Cobra's ring check, Gajeel's jacket and armlet check, Sting's earring check, Rouge's armlet and cloak check, clothes for the dragons check, Natsu's Scarf.

I didn't see Natsu's scarf, I looked around a bit, until I saw the white scarf. I needed to do some spring cleaning, Happy's fish was rotting and so were Lily's kiwis, the clothes had to be cleaned, and the bag needs to be cleaned as well to get that rotting fish smell out. We needed to get on the road and head to Igneel's pack so we can tell them that we are okay and then head to Fairy Tail for Laxus. I smiled, if those mages never took that job we would have still been stuck here.
