Three days had passed and Kero hadn't come back yet. I hated it when he was gone, it didn't feel right.

I sighed loudly.

"Miss. Aryan? Can I help you?" Mr. Odyssey asked with a smile.

"No... sorry sir."

He nodded and continued on with his lesson. He was teaching us about how myths are created and honestly, that wasn't the most interesting thing to learn about. I liked when he told us about actual myths. That was interesting.

"What's up?" Jacob asked.

I shrugged. "I'm bored."

"In Mr. Odysseys class?!" Jacob seemed shocked.

I sighed. "I know..."

He nudged me. "Kero will be back soon."

I scowled. "It's not that!" I lied.

He grinned.

Unfortunately for me, Aathavan had been crazy busy for the last few days, which meant I had to walk home. Well, walking home wasn't really that bad. I loved walking home. The problem was that Chris had gotten his car taken away because he got a ticket for reckless driving, which meant that he walked the same way I did.

I walked quickly, knowing that he was behind me.

"Hey, Aathy!" He called.

Damn. Why would he try to talk to me when he knew I was still pissed about the incident that happened at the party? I walked faster.

"Aathy?"

I rolled my eyes and kept walked. Normally, Tiana and I would walk home together because her house was on the same street as mine, but she was sick today. She chose the best day to be sick. I sighed. I can't blame her... but I really wished she was here. She would have cussed him off for even saying my name.

And then I saw something.

My head shot to the right when I saw something pop its head out of a bush. I stared at it. It was freaking giant lizard... and it had a strange symbol on its forehead. It was a Raakshyan.

It flicked its tongue at me.

I screamed and fell backwards.

It turned around and started to run away.

Chris ran up to me. "Are you okay?" He asked.

I got up and started to chase after it. "Wait!" I called as I jumped over a log and ran into the forest.

It turned around and looked at me. 'What?' The male voice said.

"Wait! I can hear you!"

'What?' He repeated.

"I can hear you! Let me talk to you."

He stopped running.

I did too.

He almost looked like a crocodile, but he was smaller. I had no clue what the symbol on his forehead represented, maybe a planet? 'You are Aathiray Aryan?' It asked.

I hesitated, but nodded.

'Then who is Aathy?'

"That's my nickname." I felt like rolling my eyes, but I didn't.

He looked at me. 'Where is Keroshan?'

"He's back in Raakshya."

'You're alone?'

"No..." I lied. Why was he asking?

He snorted. 'All I shall say is that you are in danger.'

I stepped back. "Who's telling you to say this?" I asked.

'That is not of your concern.' I think he smiled, it was hard to tell. 'And... I am your enemy. Next time, be wise and do not chase after an unknown Raakshyan.'

"What? Why would you warn me if you were my enemy? Who do you work for?"

'I do not work for anyone. I am a lone Raakshyan. I do what I want. I was bored so I decided to spy on you. Not to mention the money I am going to get out of this.'

"Someone's paying you to spy on me?"

'Again, I do not work for anyone. I am not getting paid, I'm getting awarded. There is a difference.' He seemed to really dislike it when I tell him that he's working for someone.

"Who's 'awarding' you?" I asked.

He smiled at me and then the light show started. I knew who was going to change sooner or later.

I covered my eyes and waited for the lights to fade and when they did, I looked up. The huge lizard had changed into a tall man. He had broad shoulders and a grin on his face. His eyes were dark and so was his skin. His black hair was very long and braided back. He wasn't the best looking guy in the world, but maybe that was because he looked scary.

"I cannot tell you that." He smirked.

I frowned. "If Kero finds out... he'll be mad."

"Let him be. I am not afraid of him."

"Why can't you tell me?"

"If I do, then it won't be fun. I like watching humans squirm in fear." He grinned, showing his sharp, white teeth.

"I'm not afraid of you." I said.

"Really?"

I nodded. Okay, maybe I was.

He laughed. "Well, I will have more than enough time to see if that is true or not." He looked at me. "All I shall say to you, human, is that sometimes, your closest of your friends are the worst of your enemies."

"What?"

He disappeared.

I groaned. "No way..." Someone was spying on me... and according to this guy, my closest friend is my worst enemy. I suddenly heard leaves scrunching. I turned around and saw Chris, staring at me with wide eyes.
