"Eighty-three." Ivana laughed.

"If you wrote that helium balloons were bad and lost that mark you would have got less than an eighty." Nivea added.

I sighed in relief. "As of today, all the balloons at my party will be helium balloons." I owe it to helium balloons.

"So, what are you going to do with Kero?" Lila asked.

I shrugged. "You guys wanna watch a movie or something?" I asked.

"That's a good idea, a lot of good movies came out this month." Chanu said.

"I'd love to!" Tiana said.

I smiled at my friends.

We were only a week into school and I was already bored as hell. But then again, I did have a few courses that I looked forward too. Like the grade 12 World Mythology course taught by Mr. Odyssey. The grade 11 World Mythology course was amazing, this one will probably be a hundred times better. I also took a World History course, which is also taught by Mr. Odyssey, but that's next semester.

"Hey!" I heard Jacob call.

I turned around and smiled. "Hey Jake!"

"Are you going to your locker?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Alright, common." He took my hand and started to pull me.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Hurry!" He started to run.

I started to run too. "Jake?"

"Hey! Wait for us!" Tiana yelled.

We all ran toward the front doors of the school. Jacob stopped me there. He then bent down and started to crawl. "Jacob?"

He used his hand to tell me to start crawling.

I sighed and went down on my knees.

We crawled under a window and sat there. "What's wrong Jake?" I asked.

"Be careful, but look out the window." He said.

I looked at him, but slowly peeked through the window. I started to smile. "It's a deer!" I exclaimed as I shot myself up.

"Really?" Lila asked as she got up too.

"No! Dumb asses!" Jacob hissed. He grabbed our hands and pulled us down. "Look carefully."

I frowned at him, but did what he said. I looked carefully at the deer that was standing there. It looked absolutely normal, but then it turned its head. "Oh..." I said.

There, on its forehead was a symbol.

"It's a Raakshyan..." I looked at Jacob. "But what exactly is the problem?"

Jacob sighed. "Well, I just thought it was weird since the only Raakshyans I see around here are Kero, Chirpy, your aunt, Mr. Odyssey, Kero's sister and the weird snake dude."

I frowned. He had a point. "I guess we should tell Kero, just in case something is up."

My friends nodded.

Jacob peeked through the window again. "It's gone!" He said.

"Okay, can we get up now? I think people think we're crazy." Ivana said.

I laughed as we got up and walked away.

When I got home, I slammed the test down onto the coffee table. "Eighty-three percent!" I said dramatically.

Kero picked up the paper and looked at it. "Hmm..."

"I'm not lying." I said.

He smiled. "Well done."

I sat down next to him on the couch. "You owe me a date." I grinned.

He rolled his eyes. "Alright. What would you like to do?"

I thought for a second. "You wanna go for a walk?" I asked.

"Really? Is that all you want to do?" He seemed surprised.

I nodded. "I have nothing else in mind."

"How about we leave before your dad gets here?"

I nodded. "Good idea." I quickly took a bath, changed and ran down the stairs. Kero was already waiting outside.

We walked together to the park, hand in hand.

"Oh yeah!" I said. I looked up at Kero. "We saw a Raakshyan today."

"Really?" Kero asked, sounding surprised.

I nodded. "It was a deer. It was just weird 'cause we never see Raakshyans other than you, your sister, Chirpy, my aunt, Mr. Odyssey and Serpethion. I mean, we hardly see Serpethion... so we were a little surprised to see one we didn't know.

"I don't think I know anyone close to me who transforms into a deer. Are you sure it was a deer?" He asked.

"Yeah Kero, I know what a deer is."

"Well, it could have been a moose."

I frowned at him. "I know the difference between a deer and a moose."

He laughed. "Well, I don't think we should be worried... it didn't do anything to you, right?"

"No."

"Then I don't think we should be worried."

I nodded.

We sat down at a bench and looked at the fountain.

"When are you gonna take me back to visit the others?" I asked.

He smiled. "When you don't have any school work."

I frowned. "School always messes everything up. Do you know how lucky you are that you don't have school?"

He grinned. "I'm sorry to say this but, yes, I know how lucky I am."

I sighed.

"Hey guys!" I heard Chirpy shout.

I looked up and smiled at the seriously red headed, orange eyed cutie. "Hey Chirpz!"

Chirpy sat next to me. "Oh gosh. Serpethion is such a pain." He frowned.

"Where are you coming from?" Kero asked him.

"Well, I got back from Raakshya a while ago, I went and said hi to Tiana and then I was about to go to Aathy's place but I saw you guys here."

Kero nodded. "What happened with Serpethion?" Kero asked.

I sighed. I really didn't want to talk about that jerk.

"He was at your house." Chirpy said.

"What?" Kero asked, shocked.

"And he was yelling at Serena. So I went to him and was like, shut up." Chirpy sighed. "And he got all mad and started fighting me."

Kero groaned. "In my house?" He asked.

Chirpy chuckled. "Sorry... we sort of broke a mirror..."

Kero frowned at him. "Thank you, Chirpy."

"What happened with Serena?" I asked.

Chirpy shrugged. "She wouldn't tell me. Serpethion left after a bit and then I asked her what happened 'cause she looked like she was going to cry. But she's like nothing and don't worry about it."

Kero shook his head. "Serpethion needs a kick in the ass."

I nodded. "That's what I've been saying from the day I met him."

Chirpy hesitated.

"What's wrong Chirpz?" I asked.

Chirpy looked at his hands. "I think Serena's really hurt... she seemed really sad."

"Did he physically hurt her?" I asked, shocked.

"No, no! Serpethion isn't that bad. I think verbally though."

"Those two aren't in any romantic relationship... are they?" I asked.

Kero snorted. "No." He looked at me. "I can't imagine Serpethion in any relationship."

"They're really close though." Chirpy said. "Like, best friends."

I nodded. "Oh..."

Kero got up. "I guess I should go and see what happened." Kero said.

"What?! You're going to leave? But I got over an eighty percent!" I asked.

Kero sighed. "I'm sorry, but I need to go check on Serena."

I frowned, but knew that he really had too. She was like his sister. "Okay."

He smiled and turned to Chirpy. "Are you going to come?" He asked.

Chirpy nodded.

Kero turned to me, he then bent down and kissed my cheek. "I'll be back soon." He said.

I nodded. "You still owe me a date, because this wasn't a date."

Kero smiled. "I promise that we'll do something when we get back."

"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to ruin a date!" Chirpy said.

I smiled at him. "Nah! I'm just playing." I lied.

Chirpy smiled apologetically.

Kero looked both ways to make sure no one was looking and then closed his eye. When he opened them, the crescent moon on his forehead was glowing. I assumed they were invisible now and for whatever reason, like always, I could still see them.

They walked into the fountain and then waved.

I waved back as the fountain started to glow.

A few people turned around and looked at it, but that didn't matter. They would never know the truth behind the fountain.

In about half a second, they were gone.
