-6 years later-

Bella leaned against the wall, her head down to her hands. She made a promise six years ago to a silver female wolf that she would get her out of that cell.

She had a plan.

Bella was now 15 years old, and incredibly attractive. Being a werewolf had its perks, but to Bella, beauty wasn't a perk. Her smooth, luscious brown hair was in a pony-tail, her green eyes filled with knowledge and also defiance.

She had a plan;

The 5ft 9, toned brunette walked through the corridors, many of the animals reacting to her presence. They could sense her wolf, which made her connect with only half of the animals.

She had a plan!

She slowed when she got to a familiar looking enclosure. It had been extended, making more room for the wolf inside. There was enough room for her to run, but not at full speed. She was still trapped.

She had a plan...

Bella unlocked the door, and walked inside. She had learned Silver's trust to enter her 'lair' a couple of years back. In return, Bella wore her mark on her shoulder, allowing communication between them. Silver had marked Bella as, 'deirfiúr', which meant 'sister', but Bella didn't know the language.

Are you in here Silver? She linked.

I am, dear Bella. She replied, her voice like an angels; soft, soothing, and powerful.

Bella smiled when she heard her voice, and sat down in the enclosure. Her wolf and Silver's had connected, like a mother and daughter. Bella never had a mother in her life, and Silver was the closest she had to one.

Dear Bella, you know that I can hear your thoughts. Silver whispered in her mind. I think of you as my daughter, my little sister, and my best friend. I would never have made it this far in this cage without you by my side.

Bella's eyes watered at the compliment, before she smiled. Silver walked out from behind the boulder, her fur never dulling in colour, eyes still a bright blue. She had grown another head though, so she was up to Bella's waist.

Speaking of this cage... Bella linked, smiling. Silver cocked her head to the side, wondering.
Bella leaned closer, a glint in her eyes indicating how excited she was. I have a plan to get you out of here.

Silver yipped, grinning in her wolf form. She pounced on Bella, licking her face. Bella laughed, the excitement radiating through both of them.

"I know!" Bella exclaimed, beaming. "It's so exciting, hey?"

"Who are you talking to? Willow?" A volunteer asked. Bella turned, glaring at the guy. He had light blue eyes and spiked brown hair. He was attractive, and he used it to his advantage.

"I'm talking to 'Willow' yes. What do you want Bobby?" Bella snapped. Bobby raised his eyebrow at the display, smirking ever so slightly.

"You know what I want Belle." He smirked.

"It's Bella." She snapped, getting up from under Silver. "And I am not going on a date with you."

"Come on Belle," Bobby whined, ignoring her. "You know you ship Belly!"

"Bobby, the only thing I support is the I-Hate-Bobby-Beckett page on Facebook." Bella retorted.

Bobby scowled at her, and slammed his hand against the bars. Silver crouched, snarling at him. Bella smiled at her protector, and Bobby jumped away from the cage.

"You have your dog to protect you in there, Belle." Bobby threatened. "But as soon as you come out, I will make you regret that."

Silver snarled, and Bobby ran away. Bella smiled at Silver, and sat up on her knees.

Don't pay any attention to Bobby. Silver thought. Tell me the plan on getting me out of here.

Bella shifted her position, preparing for the discussion. Well, I don't know if you know this, but you know how every 10 years the Royals have a gathering with the Alpha pairs?

Yes, I am aware. Siler thought.

Well, this is the year of their gathering, and they are meeting at my old pack... Bella said, leaving the sentence hanging.

You're going to go back and tell the Royals I'm here. Silver finished. And they'll get me out?

Bella's smile dropped, noting the sadness in Silver's voice. I know it's a small chance, but it's a chance. You can go back to your life before! See your family again? Your friends? Your Pack?

Silver's head dropped, and she turned away from Bella. I have little to go back to, dear Bella. Silver whispered, before she turned her head back to her. Her bright blue eyes connected with her own green.

You may, but it's that little bit you have that is worth going back for. Bella explained.

Silver's head rose, realisation hitting her like a tonne of bricks. It was worth it, to see them again.

Okay. Tell the Royals. When do they arrive?

Bella looked at her watch. They arrive in exactly 5 days and 2 hours. She said.

Silver nodded her head. 5 days...

Bella smiled at her old friend. I promised I would get you out of here, Silver. I'm living up to that promise now.

Bella reached out with her hand, to stroke the huge wolf's silver fur. However, when Bella touched it, her hand sizzled again. Bella gasped, yanking her hand back. The pain pounded in her hand and mind, and she looked at Silver in shock.

"Wh-What-the?" She stuttered, collapsing on the floor. Silver walked up to her, sympathy in her blue eyes. Her alarming height made her tower over the young werewolf.

Bella... my fur isn't just the colour of silver. It is silver. Silver explained.

Bella's eyes widened in shock. The shiny wolf lowered her huge head, and licked her hand again. Her saliva soothed the burn, allowing the double regeneration within their bodies to heal her wound. They would be gone by morning.

H-How is your fur made of silver if it's toxic to werewolves? Bella linked to her.

Silver turned her head, her eyes shut. You could tell she didn't want to answer the question, so she didn't pressure her.

Bella brushed a stray lock of brown hair behind her ear with her good hand, and frowned. I turn 16 in a week.

Silver frowned at the comment. What are you referring to?

Bella looked up, into the eyes of her closest friend. My mate.

Silver's eyes dimmed. Do you have your mate? Bella asked.

No, but I know he's alive, somewhere. Silver whispered in her mind.

Bella sighed. Each time I think about my mate, I think about what Carter would think, or do to him.

Silver snarled. Carter is the one who didn't believe you about me. He hurt you, which hurts me. When you return to talk to the Royals, and you see him, kick his arse for me.

Bella's eyes widened at the remark, but she didn't dare question her.

"Bella?" Gail called through the corridors.

Bella stood, quickly saying goodbye to Silver, before leaving the enclosure.

"Yes Gail?" Bella asked, stepping out into the corridors.

"We've got another tour group. Want to help again?" The human asked, smiling. Her brown eyes, and dark hair adjusted to herself, making her attractive, but she was still self-conscious of her looks.

Bella looked back at Silver, before looking back at Gail. She nodded, before following her guardian out of the back of the zoo.

No one from her pack had attempted to get her back from Central Park Zoo, they were too afraid of Silver. Mitchell had reported what happened to Bella, and Melanie had raged at him. No one of the pack dared return, for fearing that Silver would tear them to shreds.

It had been 6 years, and Bella had only just found out how to get Silver out, and it was a 50% chance. She sighed, eyes dulling slightly.

"You okay Bella?" Gail asked, frowning.

"I'm okay, just thinking about my family." Bella whispered, head still down.

Gail turned, lifting Bella's chin. Their eyes met, and Gail glared at her. "It wasn't your fault that you ran. Your family didn't believe you, and you came to me. I am so thankful that you're here in my life, and I won't stop you if you want to go back."

Bella rapidly blinked, clutching Gail's shoulder. "I appreciate it Gail. I want to go back, but not forever. In a few weeks, only for two days, no more. This Zoo is home for me."

Gail smiled, hugging her adopted daughter. Bella embraced her guardian, thinking in sorrow about her family.

'Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind...'

Bella raised her head at the memorable quote. Silver was her family, and she wasn't going to leave her behind.

Her pack would have to kill her in order for her to stop.
