The next morning Reba and Narvel began packing for Oklahoma."Narvel,do you think that the nurses at the clinic told reporters about the baby?"asked putting the last shirt into the suitcase."Reba,don't worry about it okay?It didn't do that much damage."he said grabbing her shoulders.She sighed and wrapped her arms out of his embrace.Nothing seemed to be going the way she planned.

The plane ride to Oklahoma went by fairly quickly considering that flew out of Tennessee.The landing seemed a little rougher than usual but that didn't matter.Once Reba saw her family nothing else mattered.When the doors opened she ran into her mothers open arms."I missed you mama!"Reba said taking in her mothers embrace."I missed you too Reba." Jackie said letting her go. "Reba!"Susie yelled "I missed you!"Susie said suffocating her sister with a bear hug."How for along are you?" Susie asked letting go of Reba."Barley even a week."Reba replied."How did Shelby take it?" Pake asked."Well,i haven't really talked to him.He left Monday to go back to North Carolina."Reba said with guilt.She felt bad about leaving him out in all of this,but she really needed this to be just her and Narvel.She didn't feel like she could say no to coming home.

Once they got back to the ranch everyone was cutting up and laughing.Poor Jackie was trying to keep her kids from rough housing in the car.Reba was now thankful that she came.When they walked inside the smell of apple pie and peach cobbler filled the house.Luckily, Reba wasn't far enough along to be getting sick so she indulge herself with two big slices of the dessert.Narvel laughed seeing his wife's eyes light up at the intoxicating sight and smell of her two favorite things."I made your favorite."Jackie said walking up beside Reba."Thank you mama." Reba replied hugging her mom.
After everyone had devoured the food,the men talked in the living room while the women chatted and cleaned up the kitchen."Do you want a boy or girl?" Alice asked Reba."A girl, but all that matters is that they are healthy." Reba replied.She didn't want them to know about the high risk part because she didn't want them worrying over her."Reba Nell,is there something your not telling us?"Jackie asked.Talk about mother's intuition.
